[Q] Blank screen while phone is on

Seen a couple of blank screen questions but I don't think any are the same as mine.
I have had the phone less than 2 weeks. Yesterday I thought the phone had crashed/switched its self off as the screen went blank so I took the battery out and put it back in and on it came. It then did this again a bit later on. It's now done it 4 times today. If I ring the phone it still rings but the screen stays blank and it does not even vibrate which I have set.
I have realised that if I hold the power button for long enough the phone resets and the screen comes back on. I have not rooted or touched the phone in anyway, yet. Its version 4.04 and build number IMM76D.XXLRK
Any Ideas?

have you installed any power saving apps or any task killers for automatic ram recovery ?

I have es task manager and the widget on my home screen to kill apps, no power saving apps downloaded. I noticed yesterday that the power saving mode in the settings was on and flashed up so I switched this off and it has only happened again once this afternoon so not sure if that was doing something?

Uninstall es task manager see if problem persists.

Also regular killing of apps might cause the issue. Make sure the auto kill is not enabled. Thus not causing any vital apps to restart. Test agaib

check your proximity sensor
*#0*# --> sensor
hold your hand above the proximity sensor is the screen turns green the proximity sensor is on. if you remove your hand the screen should turn white again is not the proximity sensor isn't working correct

[Q] wifi off while screen is off

Hello xda community,
I have a small problem.
Everytime i turn the screen off my p880 is disconnecting With WiFi. When screen is off, i cant get WhatsApp or facebook notifications because there is no wifi. When i turn screen on again, it connects with wifi automatically, and after 3-5 seconds i get all notifications which i should have get when screen was off.
I have tested this on a lot of wifi 'servers'. Everywhere the same Problem.
My p880 [gsm] is only rooted, nothing flashed or something.
So how can i solve This Problem? Do i have to flash kdz files or what can i do?

Under the Wi-Fi Settings, make sure that 'Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep' is ticked, just like on every Android device I've ever seen.

If you can't find the settings: On the wifi settings page, press menu button and select the menu.

[Q] Phone screen not turning on after screen timeout

Hello, I'm currently using the P.A.C Man 22.1.0 ROM and sometimes when I leave the screen to timeout on itself, turning the screen back on using the power button wouldn't work. Most times I have to remove the battery to get the phone going again, but when I do, I see that the battery percentage often drops 10-20% of what it was before. Is there a reason why this is happening and is there a fix?

Touchscreen unresponsive on lock screen (after wake)

Had my SP two days now and on two separate occasions I've used the power button to wake the phone and the screen has been completely unresponsive. The hardware buttons have worked perfectly - I've been able to take photos and display the Power Menu for example - but I haven't been able to use the touchscreen at all - so I haven't been able to select anything from the Power Menu.
I've ended up having to remove the SIM card to get the phone to reboot - otherwise I'd be waiting for the battery to die.
Anyone else had similar problems - or can maybe suggest an alternative way to reboot the phone in this situation... I'd normally just whip the battery out... but that's obviously not an option.

Power button not working??

My phone started to act really strange today. When i press power/lock button it wont lock it turns off phone immediately. Sometime it just gives powers screen (wher you can turn off,restart or go in airplane mode). Butt its really strange. I can turn off my phone only if i unplug battery.
So the problem is that when i press power/lock button it will restart or wont happend anything.
Im long on this ROM and its not problem with it. I tryed go on stock ROM and same thing happends.
Anyone have some suggestion ?

Try 2 hold 8 seconds on power button, if this phone will reboot - it's software problem. Just flash a new firmware LT6 for ur phone.
If it does not work, try 2 disassemble ur phone, and watch area nearly power button. If it's damaged go 2 service.
My opinion plastic nearly power button area is damaged, or this is firmware trouble in UI.

Who problem power button can't lock Can't root ....
You just chang your hard drive
Note: it work on gt-n7000 company. If you chang it incorrect your phone can't power on or reboot.
