I found an app that when you activate it you can answer calls with swiping your hand or any object over the proximity sensor and it goes right to speaker phone, this is very useful if your eating something with your hand or if your taking a shower but for some reason the app is not compatible with my device (i9000) and i was wondering if there is a similar app that may be compatible with my device?
Thx for the help
You could at least post the name of the app so people will be willing to help.

Can anyone suggest me how to activate NFC in my note or use it ??
Note does not have nfc xD

Did you even read the specs of the Note before buying it ?
The Note(GT-N7000) doesn't support NFC
it's better you sell your Note and get the Note 2 (when Sammy will release it), perhaps that comes already with NFC that you truly desire for.

LOL
I think it can only be activated with the samsung battery that was seen on many photos at the galaxy note release, because you would need the antenna inside it to use nfc. But i have not seen samsung selling any of these batteries yet.

Don't you think there may soon be also any sort of 'smart covers' with nfc antennas inside?

Most versions of the GT-N7000 do NOT have NFC. It is extremely RARE to find.

Samsung has put the design of the NFC in the N7000.. Not sure what their plan is when it comes to the rollout to the public.. I was able to see it on the schematics of the N7000..
You can look it up on Dr. Ketan's toolbox.. Galaxy note Service manual..
Hello everyone,
I was so excited to get my note 2 until i came upon the following issue.
I am having a dead zone on my note 2 screen. Whenever I try to write somthing on that zone, nothing is detected. I have to press harder on the pen to make it wite there. And when it does write the handwriting is weird and and inaccurate.
For example: when i try to draw a straight line over that dead zone, the line becomes curvy.
Also when I hover over the dead zone, the pointer moves further away
What is really weird, that issue only happens when i use the s pen. When i used my finger the screen responds perfectly with no issue what so ever.
I tried calibrating gyroscope, restarting, but that did not help.
Anyone knows whats going on?

So you have a case with a magnetic clasp, this will throw off the spen at the spot closest to the magnet.

With the kind of closed case needed for IP58-certification I reckon it would be hard to add an effective temperature sensor. And also, I have weather apps for that.
Thanks for all your answers. I just ask because I read Z1 would have it in some of the leaked spec. But it definitely look like a great device.

Just a quick suggestion for the future: it's courteous to use an informative subject line when you post, so readers who scan through the forum's list of threads can tell at a glance whether they're interested in clicking on your post.
Since this is a forum for questions about the AT&T Note 3, the subject line "Question about At&t Galaxy Note 3" tells us nothing we didn't already know. A useful subject line would be something like "Why does my phone vibrate when it's touched?".
Wow my bad for putting At&t in subject line

lolwut? The problem isn't that you put AT&T in the subject line. It's that your subject line is useless because is says nothing about the actual subject of the post.
Lol not here to argue just here for help. So thanks to those that answered my question I will stick to that.
