Your post and the other post were within 2 minutes of each other, so unless you were refreshing or searching up the the last minute (well 2 minutes) before you posted you couldn't have realistically known.

[Q] Invisible "Thanks Button"?

I have been reading threads on this forum since I got my Captivate in August, 2010 and this is my first post. During this time I have seen several references to the "Thanks Button". There have been many times when I would have used it if I knew where it was. So much help here, so many questions answered. Problem is, button does not seem to exist for me. So, my question is; where is it?

It's right next to "quote" on every post on every thread on the website.
There may be a minimum post count before it shows up.
There is a minimum post count. Not sure what the minimum is, but I have less than 10 posts and it just recently started showing up for me.
edit: i lied, I have exactly 10 posts including this one
You also have to be signed in.

It's the minimum post issue. This will be my third post. All replies appreciated!
Hmm I'm signed in on the web site and have more than 10 posts but don't have a thank button next to quote just 2 more quote buttons.

I am glad someone asked this! I can see the Thanks button now but about a month ago before I made any posts I could not find it anywhere. There were a few people I wanted to 'Thank' but thought I was going crazy as I could not find it. And being new, I was too afraid to ask where the button was, lol.
good post I too wondered about the thanks button

Based on the replies in this thread, this was a great post. Although I already knew where it was, I clicked the Thanks button on your OP, since that is what it is for.
"Thanks Button" magically appeared for me today. Go figure.
I've had no problem on web site but I still have not been able to find it on xda app. Is it hiding from me or not available on app?
It does not show up in the app or tapatalk for some reason. It would be nice since i read the boards mainly through one of these apps.

If you're still using the old forum format, you won't see the Thanks button.

Did you miss the part about minimum post count required?

are you a developer?

are you a developer?
Nope. Are you?
Are you a developer?
Yes I am a developer, but amateur.
I prefer shell programming for the reason that I use shell command daily, no need to learning !
Sort of

And I want to post a very specific question in a very specific thread in the developer forum, but I can't since I have less then 10 posts, so I have to make BS posts here. What a drag.
And BTW I also have to wait 5 minutes between post, meaning maybe in an hour or more I might be able to post my important, specific question in that specific thread in the developer forum after I spammed this one with totally irrelevant posts that I would not have posted otherwise.
Yes. I'm a developer.
What did I win? I hope it has sugar and caffeine in it.

I wish. I'm afraid learning how to use the ROMs and kernels is challenging enough for me! lol
I'm a Windows Phone developer. I have over 15 apps under the publisher name 'SimzzDev'.
I'm learning. Or at least TRYING to learn.

Post your UCCW uzip files only NO COMMENTS.

Hello community,
I wanted to start this thread after spending the last hour scanning about 40 pages of the other UCCW thread, only to find about 5 or 6 new skins. Whoever would like to share their work, please do so here. Let's post just the files, and leave the other thread for comments and discussion... seeing the same skin reposted 10 times just because someone wants to say it looks cool just adds clutter IMO...
Let's get to it shall we?
Here is a link to the other thread just in case...

The zip file should contain a uzip. If you use a file manager like root explorer or astro you can unzip the file then go into the uccw app and hit menu> import skins. Find the directory you unzipped the file to and import it into the app. Once you have imported the skin you can then long press your home screen and add a uccw widget. Then just pick the skin you just imported. Hope this helps. Pm me if you need further instruction.

Tearing down your thread? All I said was it didn't get far because people posted right away. Someone is a little hostile for no reason..

"Thread, failed. Ha" your words, and trying to turn it around as I'm hostile? What in your comment was useful or helpful? Do you feel like you deserved thanks for it? I never used all caps or threatened you in any way. This place used to be a community where we shared and helped others, now it's full of ego maniacs who get thanked for posting they just got off the toilet... It seems as if you want the last word, since I stated in my last post moving along. So I will let you have it.. hey you will probably get some more thanks out of it... . Thank you Sammy, have a wonderful day.

Sammy's comment began in reference to someone asking how to use uccw when you clearly stated to use this thread for posting uzips with no comments. Look above her first post and you will see what she is referring to.
It has nothing to do with you at all but somehow you have made it about you.

Long time listener, first time caller.

Greetings all. I don't normally sign up for forums, anymore, but after lurking long enough here to get my Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus 7" running beautifully on CM9, with the Google Now for ICS injection, I had to find a way to say thank you. No bricked devices, no sad faces. You're all awesome.

Don't forget to search before creating threads in future. There's a thread in this very forum for saying hi.
Thread closed.

'Thoughts' Thread!!

This is no game. It is just a thread where you can randomly discuss about some thought or quote or something that really amazes you or even seek some help with some problem of yours.
I will start. Here is 1 of the things that has really amazed me over a long period of time & I could never find an answer to it. I had read this in 1 of the apps I had downloaded lately.
'you know when you wake up, and can't remember your dream? What if that is because that dream was a glimpse into the future, but god didn't want you to see it. Like it was something that you weren't suppose to see, but we all have the ability too. like only chosen ones get to see the future. And those deja vu moments you get? That's your unconscious mind remembering that from your dream.'

Ok, I just "thought" they were basically the same. Both involves randomness and to a lesser degree, thoughts
