[Q] Firmware Upgrade

I'm currently using the 10A version.Is it possible to upgrade to the latest firmware version in my country,Brunei? I even don't know if the upgrade is available in my country.

Check what the sticker says at the box. If it's SEA then there is no update at the moment. The latest firmware for the region is V10a (SEATL V10A (Singapore/Hub))
Maybe you can try flashing it using KDZ with V10E:ANEUTL V10E (Europe Open) but do so at your own risk.

Can be there damage if you update your phone bought from a region, with a firmware from a different region? Example, update with a europe 10f firmware, a phone bought from Asia.

i bought it from korea then i update my phone to 10f europe open ...no problem here

To "un-void" the warranty, just unroot phone and repair phone though original LG software.

i bought mine here in Indonesia, and i flash it with v10f Europe firmware...
it's OK.... i only lost Indonesian language... but no problem because i'm more comfortable with English...

If my phone is from México with v10a... Can I install the European v10f without a problem??? I won't have problem with the signal???

I guess almost nobody from this forum is using stock ROM. I just stick around with my XXKPK baseband.

i tried this rom today, everything's like previous gb firmware.
i tried to root using upd_1.zip, it gave status 7 error. : /
so i restore cm10.1 backup.

Haven't tried this yet..

You may be able to use universal gb root

none of it works( even february firmware ), recovery said "enjoy bla bla bla" but i couldnt find superuser app in drawer.

try method rooting via modded mobile odin v3.5.7 by Ahmad Safar from your cm10.1, and then check option rooting when done flashing your latest firmware :good: hope it works

Can anybody tell how to root it. I tried update.zip it is installed and superuser app also appears but still apps doesnt recognise it

In XWKTZ_HUIKT7_NEKT1 I did root using universal_gb_root.zip, this firmware has some differences compared to my old (VJKPB / Brazil).

In languages go down to
भारत (हिन्दी ) India (English).
The above is a single option and mostly in the last 15-20 languages.

i heard that the jelly bean firmware from china (I9070ZCLPB) can brick our phones? mine is from south africa... can i flash it on my phone?
what are the differences between this particular fw and others? i also heard that it had the blocking mode option, is it true?

maybe you should use the russian rom

I recommend using the indian fw along with cocore 6.0

does it reduces battery drain? Bcause i'm on stock INU JB and my battery is draining like hell!!

Yep. . the Indian firmware plus CoCore 6.0 (and even 5.0) is so far the best combination for better Gaming Performance and Battery life so far!

Maybe there are some models of I9070 just for your coutry and Hong Kong firmware works normal with it.. I did not read that people have experience like you. You can try to downgrade it to GB.

Sir when i flash it by Hon Kong region file ,imei is back & working fine 4.1.2 but not working another region file.i rooted the phone also .

Yes, that is a problem with HK firmware. I did not read that someone solved it.
