I installed a ROM and forgot to do a backup before, i know, i know... Where could i find an original version of the software for North America, Canada ? Tried HTC sync but it wont see the phone when connected even after installing and reinstalling numerous times. I have CMW installed, so all i need is a flashable version of the software.

So, I tried the method suggested (EVO 3D), and yet nothing happened. I followed the instructions to the 'T'. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Did you enable debugging. I dont think it installs anything like superuser? If not download a root checker from market to check.

I enabled debugging
I'll check the root but I doubt it worked. The script just got stuck on daemon something...
EDIT: Root access not acquired

I had the same problem, have you got HTC Sync installed ? If so, uninstall that as the ADB.exe is already running a session from that while your trying to run a second one from the script. That will sort your out

Hello,
I need an advise/clarification about unlocking bootloader of mu sensation xl on htcdev.com...on this website there is a list of devices in which my device is not in it..kindly tell me is it safe if i select "All other supported models" and then proceed with the bootloader unlock??
Is there any harm if i follow this procedure...they have also mentioned that devices launched after 9/2011 will be shipped with unlock capability and this phone is launched on 10/2011.so im kinda confused.. :-S thanks in advance

what's the quickest solution for me? i don't have the ICS hboot and i want to flash the new 2.31 ICS ROM with the very least amount of customization and stock kernel

You need to unlock and and root with doomlord root tool then flash unlimited.io hboot with their recovery.. then you can choose any ics to flash..

i have to flash ICS hboot am i correct? also doomlord root tool unlocks and roots or i need htc dev?
It is better for you to unlock 1st with htcdev.. then unlock using doomlord tool.. then go to unlimited.io and go to runnymede hboot section and follow the instruction there..

Just go to sense 4 tom thread.. there a zip for root.. just flash it.. and you are good to go!
Edit : There was a thread in general section for root i think.. you can go there yo recheck.. because i never use stock ruu.. and you maybe need to use doomlord tool again cause you dont have recovery after running ruu. Sorry, if i'm not on phone.. i'll give you link..

We need more info. What rom are you using? Did it just stop without you install or flashed anything?

I noticed this problem only two days back. Last week I installed only Go task manager and uninstalled yesterday.
Android version : 4.0.3
Kernel version : 3.0.16-ge946e68
I don't know what ROM I'm using, can you please help me to find that?

hi, I bought this phone today and I installed the sense 4.1 rom by stona175 with the 1.3 kernel vertigo but the wifi does not work :/ how can I do? i have 1.28 bootloader (if this can help)

Reinstall the rom or use another.
Problem solved (i manually move the WiFi modules to system/lib/modules and setting correct permisions)

i have same issue.. how can i find WiFi modules and how can i move it in system?
The best way to solve problem is to do
System setting>WiFi first turn off WiFi, then go to advance and change Wi-Fi region code, now select China and step back. congratulation now you have wifi
