[Q] please help with my gt-i9000 - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

my phone is gt-i9000 but I did a big mistake I upgraded with wrong firmware ( for gt-i9003) and now my phone is completely dead I can reboot it and also I can log in into download mode or recovery mode and nothing happen when I put the usb cable
please anyone can help me and what should I do ?

If download mode is still available, then try to flash the phone with a 3parted firmware with repartition ticked and 512pit selected via odin.
Please see my post i quote below, there you will find a restock kit which includes all you need. Just expand the zip and follow the quide in the txt file.
If odin does not recognice your device, I would first check via tast manager, wheather kies is completly stopped. No running processes anymore in the background?
And then try another usb port, this also could help.
Good luck and much success!

You can also try it with slappys rescuepack, which i always use, when i have or want to restock. Has all you need in that zip. and also a todo or guide.
Perhaps ou give it a try?

[Q] Cyanogenmod only shows 'A N D R O I D' screen and locks up. Uh oh.

So, I think I went and done it. I think I bricked my Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830D while attmepting to flash Cyanogenmod. Dammit. I followed these installation instructions, then this happened:

}
It won't move from here. It just boots up, goes to this screen, and hangs. I can't boot into recovery mode. So, two questions:
Am I screwed?
How can I fix this?
I think you've tried the cm official rom. But my friend, as said a million times before, these roms are only for GT-S5830 & not GT-S5830 D. Your hope now is to flash stock rom via odin . Just try getting your phone into the downloading mode by using the combo, home+power+volume down ( of course with phone off ). If you get a screen with " Downloading " written on it, then you have hopes. If not you'll have to go for jtag or something, else a nearest service station is your last resort.

Technically the D should work, only i, V and C doesn't. Is a logcat possible?
Sent from my GT-I9070P
Follow the instructions from the forums. Phone appears to be bricked with just "ANDROID" being displayed and before any one asks my device is a Galaxy ace GT-S5830. I've got to the downloading screen on my phone. Where to next?
Any help would be much appreciated

Accessing Recovery mode after flashing cyanogen?

Hey Guys,
i managed to root and flash my fathers galaxy s GT-I9000 with cyanogenmod via clockworkmod and odin.
The next step would be to install the missing Google Apps via clockworkmod. Unfortunately the Recoverymode isnt accessable anymore via the 3-Button-Trick. I can go into download mode though. But i didnt manage it so far to access Recoverymode to flash the missing Apps...
Is there any way to flash the missing Apps without doing the whole procedure again?
Any thoughts, tips, help is greatly appreciated!

Cool apps, mate- thanks!
It's so nice of you to help all those folks with bricked i9000's. I also feel sorry for them and try to help by letting them go from the very beginning (flash back to stock, root etc) to understand whole the workflow and learn to be less naive in the future
Greetings from Europe

It was very risky, mate. The devolpers advice in the opening post always to use CWM recovery and flash directly there the zip files, as it can go very wrong by using Odin for CM.

[Q] [SOLVED]Bootlooping Stock

Hey Guys
This might sound dumb but I hated custom 4.2 ROM's so I wanted to go back to 2.3.6 as it is fast. I had JW4 in my PC and I installed it with repartition and it installed but bootlooped even after I factory reset and cleared cache. I got JW6 later and installed but it bootlooped too.
I first tried with repartition and then without repartition on both firmwares but no help. :crying:
Solution: After installing stock install dbdata.rfs and it boots...
Try to install JVU first

you should post your error log, for correct answers, since only bootloop, look in My Android Solution (link below), under boot loop for solution or use arescue kit from My Android Collection, link below too

If you have flashed with re-partition checked in Odin, you should have choosen PIT file for your i9000 under "PIT" besides the ROM! Did you do that?

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S I9000 connecting to pc issue.

I have this Samsung Galaxy S I9000 model device. I have using it before but I got a new one and was planning on rooting this one and changing his current firmware. So I factory reseted the device and now when I connect it to the pc it just starts charging no app opens just pop ups the mtp application eindow but still pc doesn't detect it and samsung kies also doesn't detect it. The pc detects my other s2 and my s3 but this s1 no doesn't get detected. I even putted it on download mode to check if odin detects it and no. What the problem could be? How can I fix it?
Probably your usb socket has bad contact or similar.
Try to press to different sides may be it will have connection temporary.

[HELP] Home button not working after flashes...

So my uncle was flashing stuff into his phone (GT-i9100) as he does from time to time, and suddenly the back button stopped working.
He continued to flash things in order to fix it. He actually did it but as soon as the back button was fixed the home button "broke", apparently caused by something similar. I guess it's not a hardware problem.
He gave the phone to me in case I could come up with a solution.
I have already flashed all the stock stuff (2.3.5) with Odin, but the home button remains dead. Even in recovery mode and all that (I can't even put the device in download mode with the famous combination, I had to do it with ADB).
So the question is, is the home button recoverable? If it is, how?? If not, can someone explain to me how did it died??
Thanks a lot.
