We need all the people joining in for BEST Kickstand Case - Galaxy Note II Accessories

I've done my research to find out which one would be the best investment for my hard earned money... sure there are cheap china made ones, but I am talking about functionality and the product that won't break in normal usage.
I need your honest opinion on which kickstand case would be the best fit for our $700 investment.
I am leaning towards Amzer kickstand or the Seido Active (Blue or White)
any other suggestions are welcomed
I need a case that would give a great stand, because I do watch shows and youtube and having a kickstand is a miracle.
Please help me to go on the right direction! and I will make sure to hit the 'Thanks' button

ive got one of these, fairly unique design and works fairly well.
not too sure how durable it will be since the bendy stand part is done with aluminium (similar to coke cans).
the other case i have is the ebay hybrid heavy duty case
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ws/eBayI...=200846700544&ssPageName=ADME:L:eek:C:AU:3160
this one is a lot more durable than the previous one, and it feels good in the hand. but the cost is that its chunkier than the other case.

Why would you put this ugly thing to your beautiful phone? Despite any functionality it looks terrible.

I'm looking for 1 too..right now i'm leaning towards the seidio active for 2 reasons,1)the design & color choice is nice 2)the kickstand is easier to handle than most other cases with kickstand..been checking the case-mate pop too..

The Seidio has a magnet to hold the stand in place that interference with the s pen or at least this is what some owners complain about.

Most of the people complaining bout the interference wth spen r using the surface case..the active case didnt affect it..i think its bcoz the activevis a dual layer case while the surface is one layer only..

I love the idea, it is uncomfortable at times to hold this beast. Anyhow, seido active case might be my choice.
I want it in blue or white. Anyone with pictures? ??

Boxwave S thingy. Paid $5 shipping and I love it. Not a ton of protection offered like the Active, but the kickstand is surprisingly durable.
Sent from the White Monolith: Part Deux

I went ahead and purchased this case, as is like one I have for my gs3. I don't use the front cover, but you never know if you need it. It has a rubberized feel to it and works pretty good. I don't want to add any more bulk to the GN2 as is big enough, and this one can be considered a slim case. The shipping was extremely fast, especially considering I purchased it right before Christmas.
http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=281031353056

Take a look at the cruzerlite spi-force case. I'm using it now and love it. It's 2 pieces and the inside piece is TPU so it doesn't attract dust and lint like otterbox cases. It doesn't have a slippery back either like otterbox. Yes, I don't like the design of otterbox cases.
My only gripe is that when you press the buttons on the side of the phone, they're not 'clicky'.

Seidio dual layer with kick stand
Seidio dual layer with kick stand is what I am using and have no problems.

Can anyone comment if the seidio active with the kickstand works with wireless charging?

I've pretty much gone through a bunch of cases and made my way back to the simple black kickstand case that Verizon sold. It actually has more frame coverage than the thinner kickstand case I found which for some reason left the top and bottom corners partially exposed to damage during a drop. It's not too thick but thick enough to feel like it's somewhat protective against a drop.
The best thing about that case is the kickstand, when folded out, works just like the flygrip in how you can put your fingers through it and have it assist in holding the Note in one hand more securely. I stick my ring finger through the open kickstand and can use it like a flygrip.

The flygrip works as a kickstand and also makes using this phone one handed a friggin dream! I use a Ringke Slim case for it and its so slim, it feels like there's nothing there. The flygrip comes with a free case, but I found it to be pretty bulky, even though it's just a thin rubber case, the Ringke Slim makes a night and day difference.

[Q] Thinnest Case?

Hi,
I am looking for a case that adds minimal bulk to the device. I would prefer something with a soft-touch finish, but not necessarily silicone.
So far, I have looked at the Seidio Surface, the SGP Ultra Silke, and the Rearth Ringke.
Does anyone know from experience which of these cases is thinnest?
Also, has anyone found other cases that will retain the slimness of the phone?
Thanks.
I dont know from experience but from reading these forums the incipio feather case maybe be the slimmest. Its hard case that snaps on but doesnt cover the top or bottom of the phone. I do got the Rearth Ringke which is awesome. The fit is great.

Thanks for the reply. Is the Rearth Ringke relatively slim as well?
Also interested in a slim case.
Its really not that bad. The fit is great and the texture it has is a nice touch. It has enough grip to keep it from slipping but slippery enough to keep lent and fingerprints off.

^That's good to know.
Does anyone else have any suggestions for slim cases?
you could get these if you would consider a skin http://www.adreama.com/products/mobile-phone-skins/samsung/nexus-s
they're pretty damn thin, give good grip, protects the outside of your phone from scratches, and you get two so you can pick which color you prefer
I wish case mate would make a barely there case. There seems to be a huge demand for it.
incipio case quite slim, soft, and sexy.. the only drawback is it's quite fragile. my friend bought it awhile ago, he had SOD (sleep of death) many times using netarchy kernel and he had to remove the case to remove the battery. after a few remove, the case start to get loose and finally the case gave up and broke..

This seems interesting. I have found several cases identical to this on eBay for as little as $3 (like this andthis).
The material seems different than other TPU cases, and is just what I am looking for. Anyone else have a case similar to this (TPU, but with matte-finish rubberized rear)?

that second one looks just like the black one that you get in the two pack I posted. I actually think that the black one looks really bad with a black phone, but that's just my opinion.
I have the incipio feather case (black) and love it. Soft touch, great grip, and best of all no fingerprints. Not a tacky rubberized feel that sticks to everything (lint, hair). There is a little space at the top and bottom that isn't covered (bottom for port access) but it looks great. very slim. I bought the standard black case that best but had available on launch day and the crappy rubbery screen protector. Couldn't stand either one and dug out my g1 sleeve cover.
Bought the incipio because I hate the slick back of the phone. Been using it ever since.
I would disagree that it is fragile. I take it off and put it back on at least once a week and haven't had any loosening or breakage (after several months of use). Thing is still rock solid and fits perfectly snug.
hopefully this is helpful.
edit: although it is very thin and adds very little bulk, it is noticeable. With the case on, my phone no longer fits in my g1 sleeve and this makes me kind-of a sad panda.

How is your overall experience with the two-pack case that you posted? Does it add too much bulk to the device, or attract dust/lint?

Thanks so much for the detailed review. I appreciate the input.
The Feather seems to be a promising alternative to the other cases, mainly because I love the soft touch finish.

I actually think that the phone fits better in my hand with the case on. i'm not worried that i'm going to snap it in half on accident and it's only the tiniest bit bulkier than it normally would be.
I seem to notice little hairs and stuff accumulating right where the case stops, but it's easy enough to either wipe them off without removing the case or to just pull the case off and clean around the edges. overall, I think it's a great case. I added some before and after pictures so you could see how little bulk there is.
I also have the Incipio Feather Case and agree with discussion above. Actually have 2 for 2 phones.
Black is matte finish. Teal is not, but its not a hard, shiny plastic feel. I really like it, questioned buying but so tired of black (their other colors are
very bright, way too much for a mother of 3).
I was looking for the thinnest case possible and feel this is it.
The top and bottom is open so won't protect there, but has the corners.
The thing I love the most is the grip, felt the phone was too slick and just
waiting to drop. This solved that. I do not feel it is fragile, don't take off
that much, but have no problems using fingernail. It is tight, but that is good.
Would highly recommend. And if shopping on Ebay, there are some for $20
shipped. It states Nexus S (not specific for 4g, even on the box when you
receive it), but if it is Incipio, not knock off, it works.
sgp case is very good

Comparison: Seidio Case + Holster

There two different Cases, the Active case & Surface case.
Does anyone have any of the two? I'd like some thoughts about the cases
because I'm most likely to jump into one of these cases, since I think ballistic
cases are too big & bulky but I had the infuse 4g so that had something to
do with it too =P
-Edit-
Seido Holster case
Here's an even better case, it's almost the same price, and it comes with a kickstand.. i wish i saw this before i purchased the pt holster case ):
I got the Seidio Surface.
Very beautiful case. Its very thin, believe its just 1mm thick.
Feels very nice to the touch, easy to put on... easy to take out.
Nice access to all buttons.
However, since its so thin and all that stuff, not sure its good for protection. Probably just minor? I got it more for aesthetics reasons because I love that sapphire blue.
However, still offers some protection over not having a case, but obviously less than a more bulky case like my old Case-Mate Pop.
Basically, everything about the surface feels and looks nice.
Thank you! I want to get the Surface one too because I mainly just want the holster.. the case is just an added bonus lol.. the fact that it looks very simple and doesn't add too much bulk is a plus to me too
Just an FYI, but Best Buy sells the exact same case as the Surface Combo. It is branded for Best Buy but it is the same. It is an excellent case IMO.
Hey thanks for the heads up.. i did check into it and saw how similar they both are.. i might just end up buying it since shipping might take a while. Thank you

Just got the platinum series with holster from bestbuy. Its a great case, does not add too much bulk. The front edges are slim so it does not interfere when you slide your fingers. And I got it for 30 dollars it was initially 35 but if you get a best buy rewards card they will do a 20% discount
I agree its a really nice case

I have the surface case with kickstand and holster combo like the one in the ebay link above. Just two nights ago i dropped my thrill out of my truck window doing 55mph and it only scratched the corners of the whole case and around the kickstand. i had just got the phone replaced due a manufacturing defect so i thought i was screwed and just destroyed my phone. thankfully it is still in mint condition because of the case.

the texture is on the sides of the case in this version. super grippy.
I know a lot of people seem to like this case but seriously I think that it's overrated. I bought it from a T-Mobile store and returned it within 15 minutes. It simply is not grippy enough on the back side. If you rest your fingers on the back side while you use your thumb for actions the whole phone slides around if you shake a bit. The only ones that are grippy this way are the ones that have a smooth plastic surface on the back. The Samsung oem case is like that and my current favorite the case-mate pop. I have yet to find a better case than that and I have already bought 15 cases including the seidio surface, nillkin, the Samsung flip and oem... The body glove is just too thin and the protection it provides is just too minimal. Everybody has different preferences of course but imho you can do better with your money than the body glove....

Thanks OP! I was looking for the best price on this case, and this place won me over. Shipping is 16-21 days, but I'll put my patience hat on until then
Tempting to buy this case now:laugh:
Most places are having these on sale now?
http://www.wirelessground.com/samsung-galaxy-note-2-ii-body-glove-dimensions-case-black.html $14.95
http://www.amazon.com/Body-Glove-9310601-Dimensions-Samsung/dp/B00A87K5SW/ref=pd_sim_cps_2 from $11.98
This is the case I have been using since I got my note. It is pretty thin but well protected. Good deal.
I bought the other body glove case from a Sprint store. If it's the same material, I found it to be too slippery. Using it with one hand while trying to reach around the screen with my thumb felt like I might drop it. I like the case as it seems like good protection, but I would want to add the fly grip to the back of it to secure it in my hand.

New Kickstand Case

I am always looking for the perfect kickstand case. To me the perfect case is one that steadily stands the phone in landscape as well as portrait position. It is also important it fits in my front shirt pocket and is fairly easy to get it in and out of the pocket. I have tried several, but the one listed below is my new favorite. It is the thinnest I have tried and is one piece made of hard plastic and goes on easily and is a very good fit with all cutouts properly aligned. It has a nice patterned grip feature on one side so if you hold your phone with your left hand, your fingers will grip these. The kickstand is the best I have used. It is the wide kickstand measuring about 1.25" at its base for a very sturdy platform in portrait mode. The only cons so far are minor, the on/off button and volume rocker are covered and a little hard to press. Also the space between the stand and its brace is small and my finger does not fit in, so it is not as easy to use as a holder as the others I have used. As you can see the price is very reasonable and it also comes with a generic screen protector, a cloth and a generic touchscreen stylus pen. So far it is my favorite.

This has been my favorite kickstand case.

oooh, i've never seen this yoobao case before.. noted.. pun intended.
That Yoobao case looks pretty good but when I first saw it, I was worried that the rotating thing would scrape against the phone's back panel. Does it?
I just got it in today. It doesn't touch the back of the phone. There's about a good millimeter or two between the phone and the rotating thing.

Does the kickstand on the Yoobao case also allow it to stand in portrait?
yep. that's actually why I bought it since it doubles up as portrait/landscape stand. the one problem is that it's a little wobbly. You have to adjust it a littlest bit. they could've remedied this by making it a bit wider.
do you think yoobao case rotating kick-stand disk will wear off after awhile? I mean constant rotation with whatever locking mechanism they use to keep it steady will wear off since it's all plastic stuff. But at the same time it can make for a neat fly-grip attachment Can you stick your finger under/inside?
If you have some time in your hands go to best buy and try this case. You wont regret it.

That's actually an re-branded SEIDIO Surface case.
http://www.seidioonline.com/samsung...e-metal-ks-combo-black-p/bd2-hr3ssgt2k-bk.htm
I have the Best Buy "Platinum Series" one here myself. It is a good case overall.
Pros: Very solid feel in your hands. Has a nice soft felt like material on the inside to offer extra protection. The kickstand works pretty well and offers a good angle for the Note 2 when in use. Very durable protection. Easy to install as its a two piece set for the case that clicks in place. The holster piece that comes with it is pretty durable as well and the belt clip is pretty nice as well.
Cons: Hard and I mean HARD to take the dang thing off. This could be a big deal killer for those who need to say swap out their battery/sd card/sim card or whatever often.
Certainly a good case but not without that one con that really be a deal killer for some.

I have this case too and I found that if you take a knife not sharp, more like the butter knife and insert it just off-center in the back "cut" where it snaps the 2 pieces in place, then "twist" the knife (very little twist), you hear a "snap" and now the 2 pieces will come off very easy. I was strugling with it too, but now it's a "snap" to take it off...lol...
there's a youtube video for the seido surface that explains a much easier way to take it off...so i assume it would work for this case as well.

It's a great case. But, as you mentioned, I wouldn't recommend one for people who chance their battery regularly. I stopped using mine when I started to see scratches on the edge of the sides of my phone. The case staves the phone when sliding it on and off.

I have tried both of those and I like the one I started this thread about much better. The kickstand is sturdier, it is much thinner, easier to get on and off and in my opinion nicer looking.
Cruzerlite makes a case with a kickstand built into the back of the case and its pretty sturdy with multiple colors. Check out Amazon, only about $25.

looking for a slim case with kickstand.

hey there guys I'm looking for a case for my samsung Verizon Galaxy Note 2. looking for one that fits the stock battery as well as one that fits the extended battery.trying to find with a kickstand is proving difficult.I don't want a folio or one that closes like a book I want that had the screen open all the time. also need it to be able to go in and out of my pocket easy without catching, smooth if you will but still has some grip. a tall order I know I've looked quite a bit any help is much appreciated.
The seidio surface looks like the thinnest case with a kickstand but I'm just judging by looking online.
You could look into the flygrip too. I have it and it's actually a lot thinner then I thought it would be. I love it, it makes one handed operation so much easier and it doubles as a kickstand you can use in portrait or landscape. Plus you can attach it to any case.

So far this is the thinnest case I've seen with a kick stand. A member posted this case on "Post a picture of your case along with your Note 2" thread. He said that he bought it from China. I've been looking for this case online but can't seem to find it anywhere.
that looks pretty good I'll go check into that one thanks
Siedo surface ive owned mine for 3 months no scratches on it and holds up so well worth every penny

I have the Seidio Surface too, nice case that holds up well and very slim
I have fosmon tpu hybrid case with a kickstand that's pretty slim and has some grip on the sides that I got off of Amazon for maybe 5 dollars

+1 for the Seidio surface case. Good protection, hardly adds any bulk at all, and it does have a kickstand. I usually use the active cases on my phones, but the note 2 being as big as it is, I didn't want to add that much bulk. So far very happy with the surface case. (And I've dropped it a few times, holds up very well.)
Another vote for the surface. I love the look and feel of mine. The only thing to note is that it may push up your screen protector if you have one. I had to trim mine with an exacto knife before I applied it once the surface was on. Now I'm looking at the vitreo as a new surface protector as that'll fit with the surface as is.
I ordered this case. Will let you know how it is.

I am using this case now. It is good, but too slippery and the kickstand is wearing quickly (starting to fall out of the case occasionally). But not too bulky, and decent protection..

I have that exact case too. After a while the kickstand did start to fall out of the case but i found out it was because the tiny (and I mean tiny) bump that they consider a latch had broken off. So I just dabbed a little super glue and it fits just fine.
It does get a little slippery at times, but I like that the kickstand is pretty sturdy on portrait mode. You don't often see a kickstand that is sturdy and doesn't topple the phone when you press on it.

I have found the snap tail case to be the thinnest kickstand case that will stand the Note up in both vertical and horizontal.

I do not believe slim and kick stand goes hand in hand but again some cases are close to being called slim for sure

Agreed. Before getting the ZL battery, I tried a couple of kickstand cases and the thinner cases have thin kickstands.

I purchased the Seidio case with the kickstand. I've used their cases for quite some time simply because they have such a low profile and it's easy to remove the battery. My wife has the Otterbox on her Note II, but only because she doesn't know how to hold on to her device and has already shattered one Note II. The protection you get from the Otterbox is nice, but I really prefer the smaller footprint of the Seidio. Also, the kickstand works terrific.

I have the Sedio Surface case and I liked the kickstand on that a lot, but I did have one gripe. After having to take out my battery a few times I noticed the case didn't stay together very well. Sometimes the case would actually come apart in my pocket when I went to grab it from my pocket. I did find sticking some thin paper between the case and the phone helped with it coming apart often though. If you don't find yourself taking off your case a lot it might be a good case.
