PC wont turn on at all!

Like I press the button and it turns on but nothing is shown on the screen and I connected the hdmi as well and no luck.....I used it earlier today and I shut it off fine but tried to turn it o and nothinggg
Help!

Lol yup everything and both the cpu and monitor turn on and both are connected via vga and hdmi just in case.

Do you have a seperate gpu? Or onboard graphics?

What information shows on the screen? anything at all? Could be, shot gpu/mobo/hdd

Check a different GPU...also check the cable. I once made the mistake of buying a whole new MB when the problem was the DVI cable. Also, reset CMOS.

I have checked different cables....and no startup sound...like there is a little light under the power button that is supposed to turn on and doesn't ...anymore..the keyboard wont as well...
I unplugged it for a while then plugged it back in and it worked! Then signed in and as soon as I got into my account it randomly shut off the cpu was still on and so was the monitor but it had gone black! .....

Your computer must've been subjected to long hours of playing before . Now the motherboard is on the verge of being fried .

What about the cooler? Maybe it's too hot?

Based on experience, sometimes faulty Ram can cause big issues. Such as nothing being shown on your screen, which in your case is the problem. I would suggest (if you have 2 rams) changing its slot and running them in single mode. Good luck!

Go into your BIOS and check your system voltages, usually by pressing F2 at boot. You can also use the freeware utility Speedfan. I suspect the PSU being the culprit.

Okay so it turns on but it works like for a day then turns off and then I have to unplug it for like a day and then the next it works again

Might be overheating or might have a driver issue or could have a million other issues. What is the error code on the blue screen? (The zeros)

Yea there are zeros but I cant see well as it shows it for a second then shuts down

Thats weird. Its either I charged and used way too long(2Hours.) Or i OCed and used while charging also. The only way i can overheat is to use while chargig.

so i was listening to music. Using earphones ,after 3-5 mins later the phone got too hot to touch..!!!! I was thinking it was the the heat in india, as my friend's htc also got banged up and had to sent it to repair!!
I use stock 2.3.4 v20 b... do any app with push notification use processing speed and hence raise temp???. I have a attached a image of time frame during i was listening to music
My best guess to much battery is dissipated in form of heat..
Also i use at lowest brightness when not out door.(use manual brightness)

Mine achieved 70 degrees celsius...
It just coughed out smoke

When charging and gaming with wifi enabled data, and also high screen brighness, mine gets pretty hot too.
I think its just normal, but keep in mind that li-ion batteries will die a lot faster if they are exposed at high temperatures (>30ºC) for a long time and fully charged.

Where you using stock headset to listen to music? If not check if using stock headsets causes same problem. If yes, better go for warranty. (if you got one)

Xda app ads

Hi guys,
Today I flashed back to stock in prep for the OTA. I fkashed back the rom and left it on the charger to charge to 100%. I didnt have the time to root yet. I ve always used adfree on my nex7, however since im not rooted atm i dont have it on my nex7. And heres the problem: every time i click a post/forum/subforum on the xda app a fricking porn site opens in front of me. It quickly says mobile.juicyads before it goes to the porn site. Is this normal or is my device infected?

Yes, ads are displayed by the content of the most webpages you visit (on mobile)
So if the porn sites are among your mostly viewed pages, you will get porn ads.

i'd agree with you since that's what i know about ads, too. but, and of course nobody will believe me, i did not watch/read any porn/porn-related stuff on that device ... otherwise i wouldn't have bothered reporting this.

I am getting great speeds on wifi, regularly above 20 which is what I get on my computers too. It might have something to do with that almost dead battery you had while doing the tests. Try it again when you are charged up and see if that makes a difference.

Here're my WiFi results after 4.2.1
I think it may be your battery being drained but I could be wrong. I was at 53% or so when I ran the test.

Check whether you have WIFI-power saving mode enabled.

My wifi seems just fine in JOP40D

@OP I actually don't see anything that would be showing how slow your WiFi is from the given picture I mean if you look tests were carried our on both WiFi and data network. So how are you comparing these figures and what's your usual WiFi speed so people would know what you are talking about.
Also maybe there's some other activity on router or someone is downloading something. Reset router and do the same test again so you can get better results

Anybody know WTF that setting actually does? HTC once had a setting like that and it just made your phone stay awake all the time. Bad idea.

3 speed test results are hardly conclusive. Your WiFi speed could vary depending on the load on your broadband at different times or because of a bunch of other reasons.

Also, this is not actually testing wifi.. It is testing download speed.. It could be anything at all between your phone and that server..

I had issues with extremely slow WiFi as well. The solution in my case was to switch from my 802.11n network to a/b/g.

Hey guys.
I'm pretty new here and my knowledge for Android is not that...good, so to say...
I was wondering, when I bought this beauty, the mobile service provider said that it had 16GB.
I find pretty curious the fact that when I access the Storage menu of the phone, I only see about 3,90GB available.
Can anyone tell me if this is normal (even if the phone actually has 8GB of storage instead of 16)?
I would like to add that I have never rooted the phone. It has been using the stock firmware and settings since I bought it.

This looks like 8GB version. 16GB should have 11GB for data.

So I am guessing it is normal to display only 4GB, right?

For 8GB version it is normal. I have that much for data. That 8GB is used for system, app, data partitions...

PS: I noticed that there are moment like 15 seconds or something when I can't send or receive messages. I also encounter moments when I can't call/send messages/receive messages until I turn off the phone and turn it on again.
Might this be a common issue for this phone?

Hm, signal proglems? I didn't have that kind of problems. There was some problems, but every time in the morning. I called provider, and they said that there was some maintance on network.

Yeah..so I'm guessing I'll take the phone to the Samsung store here in Bucharest so they'll check what seems to be the problem.
All in all, the phone is wonderful! I fell in love with it since the first use!

If you feel 3.91GB is not enough you can make some changes using Root explorer But sure you must Rooted your phone to enjoy Bigger storage space...... You can see picture below my phone USB storage Total have 29.32GB :silly: WOW so huge & all your apps after install sure will store in USB storage so for me USB storage 3.91GB is very tiny small & really not enough for me specially for gamer... :fingers-crossed:
