Hey guys, what's up? I have a problem with this ROM; it's beautifully awesome, but for some reason i can't seem to load the clock as its shown in the screen caps of this rom, or even in the introductory video. I can't find the way to just use the normal ICS clean clock, i have multiple other options for the widget but not the one shown in pictures on the rom thread.
Could someone help me set it up? thanks a bunch!

You mean stock HTC flip clock?
You can get similar and better customizable ones from play store ... Beautiful widgets, fancy widgets. I believe fancy widgets is pre-loaded with sabsa prime

Yeah, i mean the stock HTC sense clock, in its 4x2 layout... I tried installing others, but there's no use, i can't find them on the widgets lists to add them anyway.
But nvm, i also found out i can't seem to be able to receive/read/send sms on that rom, which is really weird... oh well *shrug*
thanks for the help! if anyone knows of any other solution, im all eyes!
re you S-on or S-off? If you are s-on then try changing your kernel( probably the stock kernel). I don't know why but it works. If you are s-off then try re-installing the rom. BTW, If you don't mind, try installing Nik Project X v4.1 rom. I am not advertising but roms such as sabsa prime and Vipervivo are too much customizable. but it is all on yourself. that was just my opinion.

I didnt like the fancy widget so I uninstalled it.

I actually had that same rom before i tried re-installing, and Nick Project works perfectly on my phone, the only thing im missing is the thetering option, i'm trying to cover it with an app but im not getting much luck with that.
I actually tried viper and sabsa, and even though i liked sabsa a lot, i had that problem with sms's too, so if it wasn't because of that, i would've tried to look past the clock thing, really... and just in case, im s-off and i tried reinstalling the rom after full wipes all times, and there was no way i could make the fancy widgets clock OR the stock sense clock either... viper was way too small for my like, really, so that one didn't last more than a couple mins on my cell...
Anyways! it's all about taste and what works well for you, i guess...
thanks everyone for the advice and suggestions!

it is included in mcr2.9 as it is part of htc sense. probably won't work in other roms.
Oh, I thought, that is the Widget of the first HTC ROM with flipping times.
Sorry.

It won't work without Rosie installed (and running). It's an HTC widget, not a regular Android widget... it only hooks into SenseUI.
Also, if your question is why doesn't it actually flip, that's a limitation of the US version I know for sure... the animation was taken out by HTC because of the drain on system resources. The animation may or may not be functioning in the widget released in Europe.
I did pull this from the original rom so it should flip but when i posted it i thought id like to give it a try and i couldnt get it work either so I gues htc must have changed something else in the ROM that it relies on maybe... Im far from being an expert though so don't know if it should be able to work or not
Sorry
Not working on my Samsung Epic 4G. Is there a similar widget that works WITH the flip clock animation intact for non-HTC phones?

Lacks the animation, but it's the closest you will get. Remember that it's removed due to a C&D, so you can't get it or post it on xda.
I have my own black version of the HTC flipclock that i rebuilt/themed and the animation flips/works perfectly, i've uploaded it for you (install through recovery as update.zip and make sure it does not go on sdcard, has to be on phone storage)!
It would be great if a Dev could make this work with non-sense roms
Enjoy.

can work in HTC sapphire? froyo 2.2.1?
Work great on SE xperia x10 with gb 2.3.3.
So I tried to search for this problem and don't believe I could find anything. This is probably a simple question for someone so here it goes.
I recently installed the Launcher2 Patch from Jcase. It's fantastic but I would like to be able to use the HTC widgets that I could with the SenseUI. Is this possible or no?
If not is there anywhere I can get a comparable full screen Calendar for this?
Thanks in advance.
HTC widgets don't work without the SenseUI.
Aloysius 2.0 PORT V7 looks alot like Launcher2, it even has live wallpapers, and still has HTC widgets. It's a little snappier than L2, IMO.
I second that. Aloysius is my dream rom so far. Live wallpapers, nexus lock screen, and htc widgets.
Only thing I don't like about it is, seeing as it's a sprint rom, some verizon only apps don't work (only one I care about is skype though)

Due to several bugs Spencer actually pulled v7/8 and is currently getting the boot image sorted to square away some issues. Currently my daily rom.
Does Port 6 still support the HTC widgets over Launcher2? Please correct me if I'm stupid.
V9 is up now and pretty solid. It doesn't have LWP, though.
Just to be clear, it'n not running Launcher2, but he's modded the sense launcher to look like it. That way, you can still use HTC widgets.

Im no dev but I am sure that the actual 3.0 lockscreen is part of the HTC Sense framework therefore cannot be ported over easily over to CM7 which is built up from stratch. It was a bit like having the Ginger 2.3 CRT effect on Froyo 2.2, which it just does not work as easily has an APK or zip flash.

Cause the lockscreen is fine by itself but lacks customization...
Why can't we get a music player on the sense lock?
i have the link but i cant post it since im new
sadly i try it on my incredible2 running cm7 stable it didnt worked installed fine but i dont see it even after reboot
in fact it felt slow and weird after reboot
Actually guys, I have seen it on MIUI. There is an NDT MIUI ROM floating around which has the sense Lockscreen. Now we all know that CM7 and MIUI are both from aosp. So if it working on MIUI it should be able to work on CM7 with a little bit of porting. We already have examples of the camera and music apps from MIUI working on CM7. So from my point of view it should work if you are ready to get your hands a little dirty.

Hi All,
I was just wondering if anybody knows of a theme for the IS that included the cool 3D transitions from the Sensation?
I am currently running
S-OFF
Android Revolution HD 1.0.2
HTC Sense 2.1 (3.0 Lock Screen, Weather, etc etc)
Basically all I need now are the groovy transitions. But I don't want to lose Sense 3.0
Was just wondering if it's possible?
Thanks
Dean
A little more;
Ignore the above,
I've seen a video somewhere on this forum (most likely in the DHD or IS dev)
It's was like a 3d homescreen wheel. When swiping side to side the screens moved in a wheel like action as apposed to sliding horizontally. I believe it was a continous flow of homescreens.
Anway I've searched and searched and scowered the forum and I can't find it again.
Does anybody recall this?
(Was likely to have been in an Android Revolution thread) I can't find it anywhere.
Please note, I have watched the n00b video

I dont think its possible to get 3d Transitions like HTC Sensation on IS with And Rev ROM - If u want the 3d Slocrilling effect (n many others) use Launcher Pro from the Maket once installed . On the Home Screen > Go Menu>Prefrences>Home/General Settings>Transiiton Effects
http://geeknizer.com/android-3d-launcher/
Here you go you were looking for number 2
the sense 3.0 ports of incredible s must have that..
or else you can download the 3d rosie pack for sense 2.1 rom from dhd section seo thread..
and all the sense 3.0 stuff..
it would work on most phones with sense 2.1
Thanks all
I found the rosie pack and gave it a whirl . After it booted up I cleared the data from HTC sense to get my widgets back but I still do not have the Bookmarks or People widgets . I have tried rebooting, clearing data again, clearing that cache from recovery (don't recall the name) . Yet these two widgets are both missing .
I presume I can install them or push them ?

those rosie pack are for DHD, they need to be re-written to be able to properly used with the IS. Pushing doesn't work, already tried.
It's working fine. I flashed it through recovery . Can't see any real bugs apart from the two missing widgets. I'm going to get rid of it tomorrow all the same .

Nowadays we have phones loaded with HTC Sense 3.5 ROM's. If you don't want to use custom ROM then wait 6 days when HTC will officially release Sense 3.0.
Im using Android Revolution HD™ 1.1.9 custom ROM have all the sense 3.0 but not the 3D Transitions :-(

I agree with nsg86. can't go wrong with vu2.39.
Thanks nsg86 for the info going to flash to Virtuous Unity Rom. but before i do that im sure I need to wipe my device and i have about 20+ games installed how can I backup all the save data and any other data that I have.. please advice
why are you flashing vu ? its sense 3.0. Go directly to 3.5, try Rcmix 4 or Nik's Trinity ROM.Sense 3.5 is a lot smoother than 3.0.
You can use titanium backup to create a backup of your apps and their data.Just avoid backing up system apps, only backup user apps.
You can backup contacts using the builtin backup option in peoples and you can backup sms using the builtin option in messages.
My Quadrant result now using ARHD is 2310 and performance is superb. Would like to know on other ROM that is stable and have a superb performance So far came across Nik's Trinity ROM.Sense 3.5 and also vu2.39
I'm using Virtuous Affinity 1.48 and its fantastic; smooth, quick, stable, and so far, the battery is great.
I have it clocked at a maximum 1.15ghz with the virtuous daemon, and my quadrant score is about 1900, better than the stock 1200.
@h3llrai53r, what is your clock speed to achieve such a high score? Or is ARHD just that little bit quicker?
Hey I was just wondering why this does not work .
Why can I not cross use different apks from different roms .
I am using Ice cold sandwich atm and the Camera application sucks on it , half the stuff doesn't work so I am forced to use a third party application.
I tried to access the app folder inside the "system.ext3.tar" which was found in one of my backup roms . ---> Created with CW MOD
I basically tried to take the working camera application and install it on my current rom but it crashes on startup, how do you actually go about doing stuff like this? What are the requirements ?
I just dont get why it does not work
I also hate the clock APK in the rom it does not have a world clock which I really need. I tried to again take the World Clock apk from another rom and it did not even install.
They were all from different icecream sandwiches but with sense 4 , the rom I am using does not have sense but I dont see how that would really affect this
Can someone explain to me how to cross use APK system files ?:good::good:
I believe you can't cross sense with aosp and aokp. If you want sense apps to work then port to a sense Rom. Your trying to put a square peg in a triangle hole.

HTC apps require HTC framework and other HTC apps in order to work
So without the other apps, just come of them won't work
Most apps from other Roms, like Sony Ericsson and miui Roms will work, I have some of them
I think just Samsung and HTC apps won't work
But Samsung apps can be hacked
