you might be able to dd it, if you're s-off.
adb shell
su
dd if=path/to/boot.img of=dev/block/mmcblk0p22
but if you're s-off you can flash through recovery, or use flashimagegui
Correction... flashimagegui works s-on as well

Yes, my previous response was worded poorly

I need the known kernels for this device and a way to flash kernels/boot imgs via recovery (in the same sense that we use flash image GUI but to use in recovery when you can't access a CPU )and we might have this today
I'm mobile and I'm having a hard time getting this done

you cant thats why you need S-OFF without the only way is with fastboot commands.
I have a quick tool that can flash them for you but it does not use the GUI your talking about
S-OFF allows access to ALL parts of the device memory.
Can you attempt to achieve s-off, it seems to be your main concern
Sent from my HTC PH39100 using XDA App
And if you're thinking you can use the developer ICS that was put out there, no amount of kernels we have for the Vivid are going to make it boot.

Not sure if it helps but I know the h-boot version of the s-off device I got my rom from was 1.85.
This rom doesn't work on my raider since its s-on.
I'm thinking if we have someone dump the hboot image (s-off) one it may potentialy work out for the community

I'll see if I can get my buddy to do that, he's not answering right now though, but I'll be talking to him tomorrow for sure.

OP can you try this in adb
Code:
cd c:\adb
adb shell
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p12 of=/sdcard/hboot.img
More codes
Code:
param1=ext3
param2=EMMC
param1_sdcard=vfat
param2_sdcard=MTD
sys_mnt=\/dev\/block\/mmcblk0p29
cache_mnt=\/dev\/block\/mmcblk0p35
boot_mnt=\/dev\/block\/mmcblk0p22
data_mnt=\/dev\/block\/mmcblk0p34
sdcard_mnt=\/dev\/block\/mmcblk1p1
one might work
or someone can correct with the correct one

Hrm. oh well. Won't be too long...
Here's a question: do we know if the hboot for Bell Raider is different from Rogers Raider? IIf it hasn't been tried, maybe I will try after the weekend. Should just give the wrong device ID error. If the Canadian Raiders share hboot, would be good to know...

Thanks vhjc, Im familiar with the thread. I should rephrase my question. They all use the same hboot, but each network has its own unique file signature. This must be verified against something internal on the device. So there is some firmware difference between an AT&T, Telstra, etc devices. Otherwise, I could flash an AT&T RUU on my Bell Raider.
So with that in mind, I'm wondering if the Bell and Rogers models have unique identifiers, or if they are both Canadian Raiders. In all likelihood, they will be unique.
Sent from the Matrix
Yup, I think they have an unique CID so they will need a different RUU or OTA update.
You can see this on the RUU thread, there are different GB files for Rogers and for Bell, and if you try to run them on the other device you will have a device error.

What is this?The following is another new updated HTC RUU for the Holiday. This will be valuable if you're trying to restore your device from a soft-brick. I know nothing about this update other than the fact that it's Ice Cream Sandwich.

It's up to you. If you cannot use stock, then wait for the folks to split it open and make a base out of it for a custom ROM.
Looks like Bell Mobility's (BM) HTC Raider RUU, same version number as my stock Bell HTC Raider.
At any case, thank you so much for sharing, will save me some time if I want to restore to stock.

Correct, my HTC Raider is from ROGERS however I'm running the BELL RUU being S OFF. There is a well written account on here for how to gain S off, its worth it!
Confirm this is Bell,
Using it as a new base for Dark Raider.
Thanks Kenn

hi , i am using HTC Velocity 4G X710s, according to specs this phone supports 3G on 900/2100 MHz bands (we don't have 4G in our country) and worst of all is my operator is providing 3G on 850 MHz, i don't want to change my service provider, is there any way like flashing another radio(baseband) to get 3G on 850 MHz [if it is not hardware issue]? ... (I know this is most stupid question ever asked on xda)
Telstra in Australia also has 850mhz 3g which the velocity has covered?http://www.phonearena.com/phones/HTC-Vivid_id6516

Here is the radio you requested. I don't know if you'll be able to just fastboot flash the radio.img (usually requires an ENG hboot, but the Junoptbear hboot might have this enabled). If it doesn't fastboot flash, try the PH39IMG.zip
radio.img - http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?3cabpowz3hex6dq
PH39IMG.zip (you must rename to that) - http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?t0ju933aeoe25ld
Note that this will not install the RIL...so if that's different you might run into trouble here and there. It's always a good idea to match the RIL to the radio

Thanks for the help, but I think I will be getting nowhere because I tried to flash the Telstra RUU but the there was a device id matching error i.e. incompatible RUU , I not understand why because my device model is X710s but the specs mentioned on box state 3G bands 900/2100 MHz
