Hi I recently flashed stock firmware but forgot to reset the flash counter. Just to be sure I wanted to ask if it is possible to root using Exynos Abuse, so that I can run Triangle Away and then unroot the phone again.

I can confirm the ExynosAbuse 1.40 rooted my I9305 with stock firmware successfully. Can't tell about TriangleAway, but AFAIK it should work after rooting.

Here is something about root
www.ihelplounge.com/ihelplounge/201...aving-full-control-of-your-mobile-device.html
2.Flash to stock rom is to return your rom to the manafacturer's rom when you purchased the device. It can be done via odin.

1. Unrooted rom means that 3rd Party Apps cannot make changes to System.
2.Flashing to stock Rom means reverting to your phone's original rom.
3. If you think that your phone is more vulnerable (There is nothing like that) .
4.Only Stock ROMS revert to original after unrooting , on other roms ... its a waste
5.Unrooting is done only when your device is rooted..

1. unroot mean, your device is not rooted. and you do not have privilege to write system file/folder
2. It means like re-install your device, you can do it with ODIN Multi Downloader (this is from Galaxy W forum and we use tass.ops
3. when or why? ya we need it sometimes, because root mean you void warranty of you phone, sometime your phone maybe broke. so you need unroot before you bring it to service center
4. No, it just remove the SuperUser and you still have your ROM. and it will make the ROM work not like it should be. it's better to flash into stock firmware of you want unroot your device
5. hemmm... unroot mean the condition of your device. or you mean Unrooting the rooted device? ya you can, read this
Unroot any Gingerbread Firmware. by Yagya
hit thx button if I help ya
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 Active SGH-I537 on carrier AT&T and have tried to unlock unsuccessfully. I have a couple of months left on the warranty but want to use it on my carrier. I was thinking of rooting it and unlocking with regionlock away, but want to be sure if something goes wrong I can go back to the stock ROM. This assuming of course it doesn't get completely bricked and can send it to Samsung for whatever repair.
Can this be done without Samsung detecting it was rooted? If so what would be my best course of action?
I am on 4.3 with MF1 baseband.

Grab the stock FW from here and flash with ODIN.
I just now rooted the phone using the method from this page using SafeRoot and Disable Knox. I did have to flash the pwnedkernel Modem in CP using ODIN 3.09 from here. Now that I was rooted, I installed and ran RegionUnlock Away from here.
I finally flashed the modem using to originalkernel.tar.md5 in CP using ODIN and flashed.
I now have my SGH-I537 phone rooted and unlocked.
Using the method I mentioned above, if I ever want to UNROOT and leave no trace, what is the correct way to do so?
Would Flashing the stock firmware be enough?
Thanks.
I rooted my AT&T Galaxy S5 on Android 4.4.4, then I updated to Lollipop (because I didn't want root anymore). The phone still says custom when it boots up and in download mode it says "System Status: Custom" (and it's not rooted anymore). I cannot downgrade with Odin because it gets stuck at the bootloader (I was able to boot the phone up and it works now but it still says custom when I boot it up. I'm still on Lollipop). Just so you know, I didn't update with safestrap because I never installed it. How do I change the device status to "System Status: Official"? Please respond to this because I would greatly appreciate it.
Install Triangle Away and reset flash counter.

TriangleAway says that I need root (but I can't root my phone because the version is too new)

Then you will have to wait til there's root found.
Sorry to hijack your thread but if I'm on rooted Lollipop can I use Triangle Away to get rid of the custom? The TA doesn't really keep up with the newer devices.

Hello,
I just received a phone that I purchased off Swappa, the seller stated that the phone was not rooted and when I turned it on it had a safe strap screen before it booted into a factory reset of 4.4.2. I want to know how I can remove safestrap without bricking my phone. I have no idea where to start. It's safestrap version 3.72. If i need to flash and reinstall android I would like to update to 5.0.
Thank you all for the help

If you want to be 100% stock use stock rom not rooted.
I'm trading in my phone and want to return my Note 5 to Factory.
I see from prior threads that the method for doing this is to flash the firmware file from sammobile.com.
Does flashing this also take care of unrooting the device and restoring the stock recovery? Also what about the bootloader, does that need to be locked in some way?

OP title says "..... reset to FACTORY condition"...
There is absolutely no known method to return to "factory" condition. The content of his post does not indicate that he / she is informed, so flashing stock firmware after root will not do this at all. [emoji6]
