I really like owains' cm9 rom, I feel very good on every thing except the Phone Call / Dial issue on me.
I forgot since which Build, if the Phone.apk is not standby in the background (manual or auto killed by system), I should wait a very long time to open it.
Include the incoming call, it spend almost 6-8 seconds to show the answer screen....
Is anyone have the same problem with me and is it any solution?
Thanks and sorry for my bad Eng:laugh:
Anyone can help?

Is your phone underclocked ? I had the same problem as i underclocked it pretty hard.. If you're at 1Ghz and it doesn't works, just try to flash the Rom again and correctly (maybe full wipe etc) , that already helps in the most cases.
I had same problem and it changed after cache and dalvik cache clearing. You can try.

This problem started since i was in kdv7.4 and my kernel was glnote core forgot what version it was the last version before hydracore.. using oc version and my voltage group is B
Here is the bug
Some times when i use the phone something appears in my screen its like a black and white wave going down.. after that black and white wave i will soon lose my signal.. at the same time i notice that the gnote is very hot.
I upgraded my kernel to hydracore still the same issue happening( tried to report my prob in the hydracore forum if someone can help me there apparently none)
The above bug was not that irritating yet because the bug will only last for about 5-8seconds..
Now i change my rom to asylum aokp rom v2.0 the problem got worst
The phome usualy goes very hot radomly even without playing games.. then black and white wave going to occur and will shut my mobile signal this will last in a minute.. to solve the prob i need to plug in a charger... tried to ask in asylum forum if they had the same bug they said that their rom is fully stable. And also sometimes when this problem occurs my phone just automatically turn off.. (battery around 50-70 percent) when i try to turn it on again battery now 1 percent dont know why??? Can some one help me with this??? I always do a clean install of roms and kernels.. help please..
Here is the video showing that bug http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OMqXzJKeqo&feature=youtu.behttp://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OMqXzJKeqo&feature=youtu.be

Try to format your internal sd.
Try speedmod kernel with kd v7.4
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Knock on wood, but I am currently using as well the latest KD v7.4 with the latest version of the speedmod kernel, and I don't have that kind of odd issue you have.
always use speedmod kernel this kernel is way better then hydracore kernel

+1 :good:
Once I had a real nasty battery drain, about 1%/min. Solved it with battery calibration. But never experienced such drain as you describe and don't know how to solve that yet. Does this happen even directly after clean rom installation, or could it be any app or tweaking settings you do afterwards? Do you have the time to check CPU+GPU speed when you notice your note suddenly start becoming hot, and also apps CPU usage, before it crash? Maybe you can get a hint there. Does the same thing happen if you start phone in Safe Mode? It's a good idea to backup rom before you boot into Safe Mode.

Not sure what u mean by 'Better', every kernel has its good and bad side.
Also try moving to Standard version instead of Overclocked. Some Note can not handle OC.
Really needs help. I post a video on youtube above to show the prob... i have erased my whole internal sd change my rom to pa rom. Standard version of hydra core and i still get the bug...

Hi Pierre.. I saw your video and I too am puzzled on what's causing your phone to just suddenly turn off.
just out of curiosity, you did not install some overclocking apps on your phone right? no tegrak mumbo jumbo stuffs to change or speed up your phone before right?
Now if your not using any overclocking apps... you can try using a different brand new battery on your phone and see if the issue still persist after.
Replace your battery.
I believe this is caused by your battery because i get that wave when i use a non original battery ( some cheap ****ty battery ) and that wave starts when im at low battery.
you can borrow from your friends to see whether im right or not

Thanks dude thats what im thinking about also. The funny part is that im using the original battery. But i'll try it. Is battery covered by samsungs warranty?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Nu i dont have.. i just have set cpu. Anyway i'll try changing batteries.

I mean, cleaning (not clearing..my apology :silly.. wipe clean the battery contacts at the back of your phone before you put in the replacement one.
go back to stock gb, clean install nothing custom, no root.
Test again, reproducible?
Yes, then Samsung service centre
No, incompatibility with what you had installed Dont go back, unless you install newest versions everything
Send it to samsung service .. they said that my battery port(at the back) was grounded that was the cause of it that also made my battery bloated.. they will change the whole motherboard for warranty.. Back to Scratch..
Hi
I'm wondering if anyone can help me out with this. I have the desire c (branded to 3 and rooted) it has worked great for awhile but recently the screen keeps going into landscape and getting stuck there (even when holding it up right) I've tried turning auto rotate off but it still happens usually a restart fixes it for awhile but then it starts again. I found a app on the market that can force it back into portrait but then I can't make some apps full screen like YouTube. I've tried a factory reset a few times both through settings and by pushing power and volume up but not long after it starts happening again.
Anyone have any idea why this is happening?
Thanks.

Maybe you should backup your current rom, and then install a custom one maybe some files relating to the sensors could be corrupt.
Thanks i may try using a generic rom to see if it fixes it. What's the best way to back up my current rom? Gonna need to go back to it if I have to sent it off to get fixed.

Well I tried nameless Rom but it didn't fix it so looks like I'm gonna have to send my phone off for repair

Try calibrating your sensors.
Sent from my Texus 4 toaster
Thanks I tried that but no luck the odd thing is the sensor seems to work cause I can play that game where you control the ball with the sensor. But its started doing other stuff now like it keeps turning the screen on on its own and putting phone on loud speaker and pausing music etc.
Sent from my HTC Desire C using xda app-developers app
Weird... The game works, but the accelorometer doesn't work at other places
Sent from my Texus 4 toaster
My wife's Desire C has the same problem. Stuck in landscape most of the time. Screen turning on, phonecalls sometimes suddently go to speaker. Sensors are working fine if you ask me.
I was trying to root it when I read this topic, I still might try a custom rom though.
Glad I'm not the only one who had this problem. Maybe there's a fault with some of the handsets or something.
I gave up and sent mine off for repair now.

Heyyy!!! Did u find any solution for your problem. My phone is also starting to behave in the same way....
I think I found the solution. It seems like the problem is with HTC's ROM based on ICS 4.0 and 4.0.4. I tried just about any ROM based on ICS (stock and custom) with any kernel combination and the problem repeats itself.
Flashed CM 10.1 and the problem is gone.

What`s the phones age? Did you try having it looked at by a specialised service? If you changed all the soft things, i guess the problems must be the hard one (hard issue, radio damaged, speaker damaged...)
Well how can that be? The first call always work like charm, and when I end the call I can even listen to that "toooot" sound... I guess that started when I went to 10.1 on hellybean (jb 4.2.1)
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
Aha, it's a bug in the os. 4.2.1 is not yet stable, try flashing a cm10 and a good kernel and it should work like a charm

Try to reflash the rom and if this doesn't fix the problem it should be a hardware prob

i had similar issue, but mine was that microphone stopped working while talking to people in the middle of conversation. switching to speaker and then back to normal was temporary fix. turns out it was Viber acting something up, when i deleted Viber i haven't had problems anymore
I dont know what viber is, but if it is an app, i dont have it installed

yeah, it's an app. sorry i couldnt be of more help
I also have the same problem before. Other party of the call can't receive my voice suddenly. It will happen so many times during a long call, I need to switch between the speaker phone and back to the normal speaker every time when it happen.
I started to have this problem after I flashed to Leak version of 20A. Then I flash again to official version after it released. No help either. I did also posted a question in here. No one can help too. I then ignores it for a while to see if there is anyone can help. But this error happens too much. I found it is too annoying.
Then I change to CM10.1 and wipe off all the system cache and data etc. Now I got everything works again. I did installed Viber. Maybe you can also try factory reset to see if it helps first. If it still won't work try to change to CM like what I do.
Mike
I get a really quiet call volume for no reason, it rarely happens but its annoying because I work for an agency that calls me to book shifts. I think our cheap hardware is just crap

Hi guys, same problem for me. I've done many upgrades/downgrades/restart...and the problem persist. Hardware problem??
But in one of those flashing (v20b) the problem disappeared.
I haven't got any guarantee because I bougth the phone in ebay.
Can somebody help?
Could this be the solution?
OK guys: This may or may not help you:
I found that, when I place a call, I do not hear the ringtone, and the first few words of the person that answers.
Momentarily switching the speaker "on" (push "Speaker") , then "off" (push "Speaker" again), seems to solve the problem.
After a lot of testing, and eliminating certain possibilities, I found that this problem in my case is associated with the phone being connected to another device via Bluetooth (in my case my X-Link unit).
When I disable the Bluetooth feature, everything works great.
Perhaps, this is good to know . . . . .
Nope...
Unfortunaly not the solution...
Thank God i dont need to call People often..
Thx for this anyway, maybe it helped others
Still with it
Hi guys, me again. The problem persist, a technical service told me the cost of reparation is about $50. I don't know if its a fear cost. Whta's your opinion?
