(Q) Can I get ICS animations back on Jelly Bean???

I was wondering if anyone can make a flasheable fix to get the ICS animations back on my Nexus with Jelly Bean, I hate the new ones they are so laggy and iPhone style... Thanks!!!

Thanks! But I like the default launcher, its just the animations what bothers me... so if there is any chance of getting a flasheable fix it would be great...

Try nova, the design is the same of default launcher!

OR, if you want, you can try Holo Launcher/Holo Launcher Plus
A nice and simple ICS/JB launcher replacement alternative to Nova/Apex that works on 2.2+, up to JB

Try this one and report back...

Well.. at the begining works perfectly but now the phone randomly reboot, i'm on stock 4.1.1 could you solve it? Or make a undo ICS animations? Because of the thrill of testing it i forget to make a backup... sorry for my bad english.

More information, is not that randomly, being more especific it's when i open some apps... and now without doing anything the jelly bean animations are back...

Solved!! I get the backup of framework-res.apk inside the folder vrtheme-backup so i replaced yours (the one with ICS animations) whit my backuped one (the original JB) changing the permissions and voila!! No more reboots!! anyway i still want this mod, so if anybody can do it i will most than thankfull

Stock ROM you say... its prolly not deodexed. Most if not all mods will rarely work on an odexed ROM.

Ok.. Now i'm on a Jelly Belly 0.1.5.1 ROM, i'ts much better that the stock one, but as i was saying i really miss the old animations, taking into account that i have a deodexed ROM could you make a flasheable Zip with the animations that are on the Framework-res.apk i have attached below???
That Framework belongs to Passion v13.1 (ICS) Rom for Samsung Vibrant, that was my previous phone and it has the animations i like
One weird thing that i noticed is that the JB Framework has several "anim" folders, like anim, anim-land, anim-port, animator and anim720p, while the ICS has only two, anim and animator... anyway i'm just a newbie and there is a thousands of things that i don't understand, that's why ask you guys.

More precisely when submenus or options menús pop up. And the animations aren't the same as the framework that i have attached...
I really don't want to bother you, so if you can do it that would be great and it you don't it's ok anyway, thanks thanks thanks..

How can I replace the Jelly Belly's for the ICS's.... I have tried sveral times and just replacing it didn't work, it reboots when you open a dialog or some submenues.... Please!!!!! Thanksssss

[Q] Extract 28A's keyboard on CM10

Can somebody help to extract 28A's keyboard to use in CM10? Just switched to CM10 but found that LG stock keyboard is the best
I have flashed the one extracted from GB rom, but can't add a new line in SMS app, besides everything worked fine
I have extracted the followings from the rom:
-LGEIME.apk
-lib\libjuinputlge.so
-lib\libjni_xt9input_v7.so
-lib\libjni_lgeime_native.so
-lib\libjni_latinime.so
Are all the necessary files included?
Last time I included even more, but when I flashed it, P970 ends in boot loop, so I think I better get some help before try again

as 4.2 keyboard is available, why only stick to ICS
and its only apk file installation is enough..

Tried to install LG keyboard apk but don't work, either FC or didn't show up in setting menu
I am a Chinese user actually, and JB's keyboard don't provide me the option to type chinese

it will take sometime to use this official ICS APKs

The odex file is like a part of the apk so you need that to.
And it means that you can't use it on cm10.

Cm10 is not odexed so it wont work with odexed files...

If I deodex the apk and odex file of FM radio, will it be worked?

[REQUEST] GE or CM messaging app for Sense

Is it possible to get one of these two messaging apps to work on stock sense rooted with mms and all functioning? If so can anyone direct me to a link for getting this to work or able to fulfill my request? Would really appreciate it!

For the first try to extract the MMS apk from a cm build. Just download the zip. Open it and search for the apk in system/app.
Then on your phone copy the apk to system/app and set the right permission rw-r--r--

Tried that for cm and I get force closes/not able to open the app. I then tried to get the GE messaging app from a Rom and the app doesn't show up even after a reboot. Hopefully someone can help out.

I used "my backup root" to backup my messages
Here is how I did it:
Download the CM mms apk.
Remove the HTC message via the Tweak package.
Place the CM mms apk in /system/app
Reboot
now restore your messages.
I am not an expert it worked for me I just wanted to share, do

The only thing that doesn't work is MMS, unfortunately.
Edit: I stand corrected. Clearing data on the messaging app and clearing out my text message database and rebooting allows MMS to send

Can they work in tandem? I like sense mms, but I also want cm based quick reply feature. It's awesome.

I tested mms and it works fine. To send and receive, plus all the features of the CM app like pop up with screenwake + unlock. Running on Trickdroid 8

Can someone post the apk?

not quite what you were asking for but Textra is a really nice sms app with quick reply etc, and is constantly being improved.

No you don't ... I swapped out Message.apk for mms.apk in my ROM and everything works as it should.
... You also don't need TrickDroid, you can just delete Message.apk from the ROM you use and use mms.apk in its place ... Or flash it in TWRP/CWM.

Guys, i want to change the system apk on my other device like messaging. How to make it work? I tried to extract the mms apk from cm10.1 zip ang push it to my other device system>app with permision then reboot. But when i open the messaging app it say messaging had stop. My phone was not cm, still using stock rom original but rooted and running jellybean 4.2.1.

Sadly you can't. This is because all CM based roms runs on CM framework just like Samsung's stock rom runs on TouchWiz framework. There is an app in Google Play called CM App Installer, though I haven't tried myself, but it requires Android 3.0 and up. So in your case you can't run it in stock rom Gingerbrerad 2.3.6.

Thanks, I tried replacing the apk but i kept getting force closes....not sure if maybe i need the libs or maybe the .odex file as well....im using Textra for now...seems to be working good.
