I dont know where this should go exactly but i have posted it in the general section, if it then doesnt belong here, it can be moved later on. Its a discovery for now.
i actually wanted to flash back to my "Samsung Galaxy Aces 5830i bootloader splash screen" after flashing Rafael's s5830C firmware. I flashed the s5830C because of this bug - (reading contacts from simcard), but i wanted my s5830i splash screen back and i needed to flash my own original firmware with my own bootloader through odin. I searched for "i's" bootloader but couldn't find it anywhere else except feetonfire's thread (unbrick tutorial). The size is considerably smaller than that in Rafael's.
i flashed this bootloader with my own original firmware (s5830i)...[CSC, PHONE, PDA] through odin and my splash screen went off finally, it displays an error whenever i boot "unable to pull image from blah! blah! blah" but it still boots...I reflashed and even flashed back Rafael's bootloader but its still the same error but the phone still works as am able to boot.
i resulted into flashiing the whole multipackage without split through odin3 v3.07...but then i mistakenly downloaded the wrong firmware from sammobile. I only knew after i have already flashed it. i downloaded the firmware named - (S5830ZXXLK3_S5830ZOXELH1_RST_S5830iXXLK1_HOME.tar.md5)...
when i booted, i was met with the splash screen "samsung glaxy ace La Fleur" (with a flower design).... and then i knew i just flashed another frimware. it booted like thrice before it got into the normal lock screen (SGS lockscreen). I dont know if the "Z" firmware exists but its suprising... I think this s5830Z is meant to be for the inital ace with a different gpu... i rooted it with the same way our normal ace is rooted. I dont know if this is a new firmware or something else but i simply havent heard about it around the forum. Maybe devs would deodex it and also build a kernel from this new kernel version --- (2.6.35.7 [email protected] #1) if possible. I am about testing if i would be able to install any of the initial ace's kernel that was built from the source...
I can only provide screenshots for now cause i dont have a camera, only a smaller phone with a low quality camera.. no video but i think the screenshots would do for now. thanks

I guess its a limited version that was launched. It was all white and had all these flowery graphics on its body. I guess this was launched specially for the female customers. You flashed a firmware from that Fone. Search it on google. Youll know more about it.
You should be happy that now you have a female girly and all flowery limited edition Ace i. Lol

Hey guys, do not flash the OTA update manually with CWM, it bricked my tab an will most likely brick yours too.
Make sure your tab is stock 3.0.1 and wait patiently.

Just wondering if anyone has had any success in unbricking their tab yet. I was reading through old forum posts and there was a thread where fricorico had flashed a transformer rom and couldn't load fastboot or download mode. He said that he managed to get his tab into apx mode and could then eventually get the tab back up and running.
I can't post a link because I'm on the xda app but our forum isn't too big to find it and try. Also, not sure what or how to get into apx mode though so this post may be literally useless to most people. But maybe someone knowledgeable will remember something as a result.

Folks,
Is Samsung GT-I9220 same as Note N7000? for sure the I-9220 doesn't come with a SPEN and when I looked at the phone settings few weird things.
Model: GT-I9220
Android: 4.0.9
Baseband version: MAUI.11AMD.W11.37.SP.V17.F1
Kernel: 2.6.35.7
Build: ALPS.GB.FDD3.MP.V4.5
Storage: Internal 139MB
I do see a Superuser, so I'm assuming it's already been rooted, am I correct?
I think they are a little different. I'm not sure how much though. Google it.
Android 4.0.9? :O
Anyways, AFAIK, the i9220 is the Chinese version.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1324463
Sounds like a Chinese fake. No spen? Internal storage 139MB? Android 4.0.9 (doesn't exist) etc. The i9220 is pretty much identical to the n7000. You got scammed.

One of my friend got it from Bangkok, for 6000Baht, When I looked at it, I figured it to be a fake one, but was amazed and shocked with the touchscreen & camera features, no lag at all, the only problem was it was not detecting the network signal of my Airtel, but I'm told Vodagone SIM was working fine! not sure if there is any diff in Mhz.
I feel sorry for my friend who got it from there, he gave it to me to play around with it.
For 6000 I think if it behave in a good way there is nothing lost but I would be carefully wit flashing anything. Cheers.

Seriously? This is a fake, can be detected from miles away! First of all it's GB, not ICS. Second Android version is a fake, third the battery is a fake, fourth the bootscreen is a fake, fifth there is no Touchwiz, sixth there are two simcard slots and last there is NO S-Pen on a Galaxy Note.. wtf

I want to believe you're pulling our leg, but just in case...
What inspired you to use LP1? It's not even official for the GT-N7000. There are newer official ROMs, as well as very decent safe unofficial ROMs (CM9 et al).

Guessing, guessing, nothing more... seems you have a prob with mmcblk0p12 (hidden) partition. If I were you I would try to flash [your] stock firmware w/o hidden.img, see what happens after that and send it to Samsung eventually.

As Noteboy states: There isnt going to be an official update from samsung.
The only way to get the KitKat experience is if you flash an AOSP-based ROM.
Unless somebody develops a kitkat based touchwiz rom; which might never happen.
Unfortunately never.

But isnt it against Kitkat's approach in the first place?
Wasn't kitkat for the old phones as well?
And today I held another phone in my hands for almost like 5 hours or something, after that my note felt like godlike phone.
Note is still good.
Maybe doesn't need kitkat at all but idea to make old phones work more efficient sucks then.
