I have bought this phone hard bricked. It won't turn on and download mode nor fastboot, nothing... When I connect it in Windows I get SEC S5PC210 Test B/D so I was googling a lot and I found this Unbrickable Resurrector but unfortunatelly, it doesn't supports Galaxy Note GT-N7000 (I9220) but still I tested it out but no luck. The phone is detected but the flash is not written by the application so still nothing. A local guy tried to JTAG it and it said that the emmc chip is fried and getting a new one would do the trick which he doesn't knows where to find one. Now I want to ask, where can I find a good emmc chip except the link below?
parts4repair.com/samsung-galaxy-note-n7000-16gb-sandisk-sdin5c2-4g-flash-chip-with-program/
Have anyone tried ordering something from the website above?
Emmc chip is burnt into the motherboard. You will need a replacement done by Samsung service.

Yeah but since I bought this phone a second hand, I don't have any warranty too. I'm sure that replacing the emmc will fix the phone but before I order the chip I want to make sure that there isn't an easy method to fix this brick.

Again men, as he said before, the chip is burnt in the motherboard of the note. You cant replace it by yourself because you will ruin the phone. Imagine this proces is did by a machine in a factory, no by a human. If you wont have warranty you can leave your phone on a samsung centre and they will replace your motherboard by a new one (with a price, obviusly)... sorry for this... but its the truth. Sirry my bad english!

Of You can find a source for the chip then please post where from. Have you got experience of micro soldering? It's not easy and you need the right equipment, I'm not sure you fully understand what the emmc chip is.

emmc chip is a BGA, (Buble Grid Array). soldering that type of component needs a special oven to melt the solder balls at precise temperature and duration. This cannot be done easily.
Solder points are not on the edges of the chip but between the chip and the printed board, so you cannot acces with a soldering iron
Yes correct.. most you can do is find a replacement motherboard... may be by someone who has a broken screen and want to sell the note or so.. replacing the motherboard usually costs as 60% of the phone
I would say look on eBay for replacement motherboard as nokia says or try Samsung direct, but obviously more expensive.
I doubt very much you'd be able to source an emmc chip anyway even if you did have the skills to bake it on, the suppliers would never honour anything other than bulk orders.

Emmc chip is the main chip which contains the memory (bootloader, phone's internal memory and etc. very important stuff so the phone can work properly).

I know that soldering a BGA chip is a hard thing to do but I have a technician here locally which can resolder the emmc chip with a new programmed one like from the website I've mentioned above. That emmc chip is just ready to be soldered and the phone will work as usual. See an example of changed emmc chip on a smartphone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1543310

Well just buying an emmc chip looks much cheaper from buying a used motherboard. Buying a emmc chip costs $80 including shipping and everything... I don't know about motherboards, but I'm sure it's much more than the emmc's price.

I am wondering abut SDIN5C2-4G that is being sold in http://www.parts4repair.com/samsung...b-sandisk-sdin5c2-4g-flash-chip-with-program/
according to its document : http://omapworld.com/iNAND_e_MMC_4_41_IF_data_sheet_v1_0[1].pdf
SDIN5C2-4G is 4GB storage. Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 has 16GB it should use SDIN5C2-16G.
or the guy who sell the chip, just to make the phone back to life with just 4GB after all ?? If so, system partition takes about 2GB and the rest is user /SDcard 2GB ?

So... long story short, I bricked my Nexus One. There is no LED while charging and the phone doesn't boot. I figured if I replace the motherboard, the phone will start functioning again.
From my understanding, HTC charges $196 to replace this piece, which is quite expensive considering I paid $175 for this Nexus. But I found a part on eBay which I think is the motherboard, but I want to make sure before I purchase it.

I would appreciate if anybody can confirm that this is the motherboard and if it will resurrect my phone.

Do you know where I can source the motherboard?
I might try buzzing HTC tomorrow for a warranty repair (or swap) for a different issue with the phone. Maybe I can escalate it to the proper person if they give me any problems.
I have searched almost everywhere for it; and it's nowhere to be found.
My options remain:
1) Hope HTC replaces my Nexus for another issue
2) Have HTC replace my motherboard for $196
3) Replace it myself, assuming I can source one
4) JTAG it back to life
5) Sell it in its current state
Do you mind sharing the story of how you bricked it? I'm really interested.
google a method to un brick it. One hacker actually did that already. It might help you.

I unrooted the phone and started proceeding with the respective steps. I just flashed CW recovery and was using it to flash gapps, CM, and a radio image. I then rebooted the phone, but it never turned on.
Now, I have a beautiful non-functioning Nexus One! Does not boot at all, no LED when hooking up to A/C, nothing...

Well I read the article long ago and don't remember exactly what the name of it is. But one hacker used his usb cable to trick his nexus one to wake up and it was successful.

Update: I called HTC and mentioned a completely unrelated issue, which was a small speck of dust under the screen. I chose the swap option and didn't mention the phone didn't turn on, or was bricked. I just checked the tracking update and it says "service is completed." Checked my card; nothing was charged.
GO HTC! They are the absolute best!
u probably bricked it with the radio update.. did you check the MD5 checksum before u flashed it? And was it even a proper Radio?
You need to be very careful while flashing a radio... it's like flashing a BIOS on a PC.
You should flash it through fastboot and not recovery, it's safer.
Just so you know when you try to do it again.

Got blessed with Samsung peace of **** eMMC BUG!
I have warranty for more 1 year and 9 months!
Will it cover the motherboard replacement? Or it has costs?
I mean.. of course i will take my device without triangle or binary counter and with a stock kernel!
It just shows the bootlogo and i'm able to enter download mode!
Currently i fixed it with the tutorials on General Talk but i lost 5Gb on my FAT32 partition and wanna trade my motherboard for a new one... without this bad sectors!
And since i have my warranty i wanna know if it will have any costs or just for free because the warranty covers it?
I'm having the same issue with mine, could you give me the link to the tutorial that helped you?
Thanks & good luck with Samsung . . . . !

still waiting if someone knows if it is free of costs
only be free if you lie to samsung about how it happened
I would probably get infraction for telling you this ill-advice. (Its justified because Samsung is neither admitting the bug not fixing it)
Hard brick you note by flashing infamous Angelom kernel.
Tell 'em you did Factory Data Reset from Settings > Backup and reset.
And it bricked.
Act dumb.
You probably would get warranty, and I would get an infraction.

I wrote them I had installed the lastest ICS OTA update (true) and that I was not satisfied about how ICS behaved (true). I also wrote them I messed up while trying to go back to GB (also true). I've send in the device but no further questions were asked. Repair didn't cost me anything, only the costs of sending it in.
I've a hard-bricked GNote. Plz don't ask why and how I managed to screw it. I cannot regret enough myself. Never intended to and usually I take good care by reading before doing something potentially risky. It's just that the temporary cwm.zip was on that note for long, and it was downloaded and used for rooting before it was discovered and marked as dangerous and I did not visit XDA meanwhile.
Anyway, it has been more than a month now. The device is super-hard bricked. Nothing can revive it. It's totally dead; no display, download or recovery modes. Has been tried for JTAG and met with failure (eMMC seems to be damaged altogether). So the only thing left to do is to replace the motherboard. The seller from whom it was bought claimed that it had international warranty at the time it was sold. However, after this disaster, I discovered this particular unit has no warranty by Samsung (was strange for me). I have contacted Samsung UAE, Samsung South Africa, and Samsung USA and all of them refused to extend any help. The local Samsung service center would charge me $400 (yes that's correct - US$400 equivalent in my currency) for replacing the motherboard.
I might use some help here by getting information on whether the motherboard can be obtained from some other place, and how much would it cost. I have access to UAE or Singapore (friends visit these places). If someone can help me with this information on how much it would cost me to get a replacement MB from these markets or may be from the Samsung service centers there, it would really be helpful. Any help in this matter is much appreciated.
Hard bricked note
I have the same problem. if anyone can let me know whether ( & where ) i can get a replacement motherboard from any of the following countries in my region - Singapore , Malaysia, India or Srilanka, i have fiends in these places but they don't know where to look so if anyone can point me in the right direction. if i can get replacement i have technician who can get it done.
FYI - I live in Maldives ... which is a small Indian ocean island nation. Few Hi tech service centers avilable but no spares.
If you think the cost of mobo is high or you can't get one,you could try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26285877 or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26428986
Please note that the above methods are not permanent fix for superbricked phones....it just makes it usable again....And it also lessen your SD card space drastically....

I think sourcing the actual mobo's will be very difficult except on ebay, but they're likely to be damaged ones anyway, you might be lucky.
As above poster mentions, you can try a repartition as a workaround until there's a concrete fix.

@vijai2011 and @SpyderTracks, thanks for your suggestion guys, but probably you are confusing it with a super-bricked GN. There is no way I can repartition the eMMC as there is no bootloader. Without it, I cannot go into download mode or have PC connectivity of any kind, whatsoever. MB replacement is my only option.

What I'm suggesting is the only way to replace emmc is by replacing the motherboard, and samsung is the only place that will do it, or any insurance place who'll probably send it to Samsung. Sourcing motherboards is notoriously difficult outside of a service center. It's the whole board that needs replacing not just the chip as it's embedded.

I guess the best thing for you is to acquire the eMMC chip and just take the defective chip out and replace it with another one (not entirely the entire motherboard). I'm not sure though how you can accomplish this feat but someone (courtesy of 'dekelm8' from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1698977&page=59) was able to secure a replacement chip from this website - http://www.suppliesnow.nl/english-product-1108-000424.htm and http://www.aswo-elektronik.hr/eng/index.html (you need to register to that website actually).
So far he indicated that he got the replacement chip (* I think). Now to the nature if he was ever able to replace the eMMC chip with his replacement one, that remains a mystery to me still.
Hope that helps something on your dilemma and Good Luck if your able to fix back your Note.

usb jig will work only if your device is not dead that mean when you press power button if you get some splash screen or stuck at boot logo then usb jig will work but if no response from power button then usb jig will not work for you.
And the solution for the boot repair is using jtag riff box. Its not good idea to buy riff box just for your one phone its better to take it to service centre for repair.
And also there is a elite developer Adam Outler who can fix it messing with the hardware you can see his threads.

Apparently my phone have sudden death syndrome, so I have it repair in my local store. They replace my nand chip now everything is working. But he installed the I9300 rom into the phone, which means 2gb ram is now 1 gb instead, no LTE. I tried flashing it through odin, it doest work. Any idea how to I reflash it back?

Hummm a I9300 ROM does *not* work in I9305 SOC, so I think that they did not just replaced nand chips and installed another ROM.
Instead, they changed the entire motherboard!! And yes, they did put a I9300 motherboard, no LTE, only 1GB.

But I see some solder mark around the nand chip which I disassemble it to make sure. The phone kinda expand abit which the phone can't close tightly even with screw. God, they told me 1 week warranty as well.

Hey!
I'm pretty sure they changed the broken I9305 motherboard by a functional I9300. That's why the phone don't close tightly, look at this post and you'll understand why:
