Hi guys,
will it be possible to run ubuntu phone an this awesome device?
When it's released next month someone could grab the source and compile it for x86. So yes, it's possible, but someone has to compile/maintain it for us.

one quote from here
Does that include the ARM version?
No, here's no ARM-based beta you can download today. Microsoft has said it will make preloaded Windows/ARM devices available to developers soon.

Are you thinking of a Sense 4 rom?
And here is the untouched kernel source on Github, link. Fill free to fork.
You lucky bastards...

I gotta give credit to HTC here. The Vivid is pretty much the first non nexus device to get ics officially, it is not fully rolled out on carriers and the kernel is posted. Finally! As it should be. Hopefully they continue this

Would like to request if possible to have a kernel that has a higher bitpool setting than stock.
Thanks.

WC, is there any ICS ROM available for a S-ON raider?
I guess if there is kernel source, then it's possible to create a universal ROM. Right?

Glad I didn't go with Samsung this time . They might have it later this year, but one year after the phone is released is way too long, I'll probably have another device by then.

Cant android, being an open source OS, be ported to your HD7s as in case of the HD2 ?
Has it not been done or it just can not be done ?
What are the shortcomings of the hardware that make it not possible to install android ?

Any leaks of Google edition 4.2 ruu for the htc one. I'm running d3rp now but AOKP is my favorite.

We'll have to wait a while longer. Even the AT&T hasn't gotten an RUU yet, and their device is identical to the GPe.
Ours is slightly different. The GPe ROM will have to be ported to our device.
And it's best not to ask for when it'll come or if it's here yet. Don't pressure our awesome devs!

Some of the htc devs know me and my sarcasm. I just want the android fixes for BT, data drop, lte, etc. and the kernel source. I never ask for ETA's.

Curious,
androidpolice posted an article about the source code being available on a google mirror. The code includes the kernel source obtainable from htcdev.
No link because I haven't made enough posts.
Do you think that is usable?

The short answer is that the One GPe is basically the AT&T variant of the One and not the Srint One, so the source is not for our phone.

It's rude to ask about a ruu leak? Might I ask why? Also does anybody have an expected date?

Nothing as of yet. When info is available, someone here will be all over it and will post a thread
Side note.. they got a fully working ROM over in the GSM forums for the One. Hopefully it can come to the Sprint variant soon!

Thx for the info. I was actually going for a troll but I guess you saw me coming
According to this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2341395, Jerry Hildenbrand from AndroidCentral gave them the system dump. So I'm sure a dev can just ask him again for that dump
EDIT:
Scratch that, the system dump is available here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2340198

Still a GSM ROM, so no, not right now.
Locking this... There's already a thread about this device and if we need to talk about RUUs leaking and such we can do so in that thread...

Hi Guys, so probably this has been asked before, but I'm not sure what to look for, so maybe you can redirect me or just answer my question yourself.
I was wondering if it is possible to run Android 4.4 on my HTC Desire C, judging from some videos it is, but Im not sure how to go about doing it. Ive been reading about rooting and roms, but there seem to be multiple roms by different people, and god knows I dont know what to do.
Any help?
regards,
Rens

There won't be official support for it. But some developers are working on porting it. Probably at start it will be buggy as hell
