Just received my battery door replacement yesterday. Love the built in kickstand. .. keeps it nice and slim. I'm worried about the sides not being protected but the color is so nice. Would have bought the all black if I had to do it over. This one gets more attention than I want. But the quality is top notch.

Wow, AMAZING case!
Questions.
1) Did you find a US distributor or did you have to buy it from other side of world and wait 2 weeks for shipping?
2) Does the kickstand feel like it is well made and will last? Looks kind of flimsy.
Thanks.
** An idea on how to protect it from drops. Stop by your local mall and buy a lanyard. Feed it through the speaker hole on the back and wear it around your wrist when using the phone. If you fumble it the lanyard will save you. Never hit the ground.
These look amazing how much were they? And do they have nfc?

Looks like you can buy them on eBay for about $45 USD. Only problem is waiting to get it from Hong Kong via camel train and carrier pigeon.
Yes, their ad does say it supports NFC.

1. No, at the time (Dec 8th) this case was only available thru ebay and some foreign websites. Went thru ebay...it came from Hong Kong and it was during the holidays so the delay was expected.
They are slowly starting to sell the products on Amazon (directly fulfilled) as of last week.
2. The kickstand is NICE. Not flimsy at all. I looked inside behind the kickstand; it appears to be on a fixed track, so it slides easily. There is a metal piece on the inside that allows it to lock and stand in 2 places. Like anything, it probably could break but you have to be really hard on it.
3. The plastic used for the door is a bit stiffer that the original door. The whole case adds weight but in a good way. It feels substantial now. Phone doesn't slip when grabbing it now.
Thanks for the lanyard tip. I think I will go without one. I trust myself, lol. Btw, yes it has nfc. Also, they aren't too cheap. My case was 49.99 but they are 59.99 on Amazon. Also, Amazon only has the Carbon Fiber version of this (my first pick but wasn't available in the states at the time) in Black, White and Grey. Will be buying one of those this week so look out for more pics
I was on an escalator the other day and fumbled my GN2. That lanyard saved me. Would have crashed down 10 metal steps. Instead it just hung harmlessly from my wrist. Also, it comes in handy if you have to save a falling baby from a burning building and you don't have time to put down the phone
Yeah these are pricey but they look it. Glad to hear the kickstand isn't crap.
I am thinking black as well. Good for business. Tried an orange case once. Way too blingy.
---------- Post added at 08:38 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:18 AM ----------
Another quick question. How well does the cover fold back on itself? Is it super rigid or pliable like the Samsung OEM flip? Does folding it back make lasting creases in the material? My only concern is that since this is real leather it might not fold back as easily.
Thanks.

Yeah the leather is pretty stiff at first but its loosening nicely. There appears to be 3 indentions in the case to make folding easier. Gimme a sec, I will try to grab a pic (nice having 2 Notes around)
The front cover is thick and sturdy enough for me to use it as a platform. I do this alot, believe it or not, lol. Also so pics of the inside nfc...

Yeah, cant go wrong with Amazon. But take a look at anymode's website. The us version is coming soon but the international one works. You can see some of the cases that are available elsewhere. Looks like they are bringing all of these products to the states. Now I have to budget for like 3 more cases, lol.
The folio case with the mirror front is genius. You can see the screen and use the pen thru the front when the screen is on, but it looks like a mirror when its off. Genius!

Hi.
I want a really nice tight and tactile skin for my N7.
When I first got my iPad 1 I bought a Rocketfish skin that was just perfect for it. Nice rough back so it was easy to hold and nice and tight.
Looking around I can't see many good skins at the moment for the N7. They all have smooth rubber and some comments off amazon say they are flabby.
I've looked on Amazon UK and USA. Is there anywhere else I should be looking?
Please don't say eBay - full of cowboys.

Well I bought a Gel skin for £4 off ebay but as you think eBay is full of cowboys you don't want to know.
I also got a neoprene slip cover for a couple of quid including postage and a cool as feck tablet stand for just two quid.
But as you think eBay is full of cowboys you don't want to know
I appreciate your comment but eBay has been nothing but bad for me for stuff like this.
Everything I have bought off eBay for my phone, tablet and kindle has been sub standard so I don't want to deal with them again.

Use buy it now from business sellers and you get full DSR and SOGA rights!

I bought one of these for £4.35 inc postage.
It's probably not the best in the world but I haven't tried them all so I can't be sure.
It's a very good fit.
It does make the Nexus easier to hold, much more grippy.
Holding it by the case now means I can't feel the slight screen raise on the left.
It does protect the back of the device and I can now put it down anywhere without worrying the back will be scratched.
It only cost me £4.35 and it is doing a good job of protecting the N7 for now.

I bought one of the s-line cases in a very fetching translucent purple and it fits perfectly, I can even get my very cumbersome hifi jack to work with it.

I also bought a S-line TPU case in black for $8 and it fits perfectly! Very tight and form fitted, while barely adding any bulk/mass to the device. It's very good looking in black as well, gives the nexus a murdered out look. I'm also using a Timbuk2 Cush Kindle Fire sleeve along with the TPU case for maximum protection while travelling in a very slim package. Highly recommended!

Murdered is a term from the car/tuner industry, usually meaning completely blacked out. It looks "murdered" because the tpu case covers the silver bezel and makes the entire device black.
Here's a murdered out ZR1, for reference:

I agree, looks better than stock and the added grip does make it easier to handle. As for the vette, they've always been able go round corners, you just need to be a godlike driver to go fast without snap oversteering and stuffing it in a wall

Today I took receipt of 2 Nillkin Hard Cases for the GT-N7100 Galaxy Note (One brown, one Red.)
I bought them from eBay for around £6 each delivered, the quality is surprisingly good, I wasn't keen on having a TPU or Soft Silicone case, or the flip case that I had for my original Note. So I thought I'd give this one a try.
You can see that it comes well packaged, not just in an envelope as is usually the case from Chinese suppliers of such products.

It also includes a screen protector, I've not yet fitted that, as I already have one fitted that's in good condition.
As you can see from the next set of photos, it doesn't really add a great deal of bulk, which is another reason I didn't want a TPU or Silicon case.
Granted I can't see it protecting the phone from a massive fall, but I wanted to keep the svelte lines as much as I could, whilst adding some grip, which it does nicely with the texture that is on the under side.
The fit is really snug, I had reservations at first, but once it's fitted it doesn't move at all, so I have no worries about it slipping off.
All-in-all I think it's a really good product, it adds protection from scratches for most of the phone, whilst not being too bulky, just enough thickness to save the camera lens from getting scratched when you put the phone down.
So if you're looking for a case and have similar requirements to my own, consider giving this one a try.
thank you for your return
Excellent review and photos, its a shame the case doesn't cover the top and bottom of the phone .
i just made a thread about this, but yours is nicer so....
I didn't like the fit at ALL until I just removed the back cover from my note 2 completely.
I don't really care about NFC so I'm okay with this. I like having a bit more lip too.
I find a couple of the edges a bit sharp. meaning if I hold the phone in landscape, my index fingers get scraped a little bit by the case edges.
I might sand them down or something.
The texture on the case is quite nice - pretty subtle but noticable when you hold it.

I know what you mean, but at least it looks uniform all the way around, I had a couple of flip cases, one made by a company called Tenda, great case and had a similar hard back to it, that case did cover all the edges... except for one corner, it would have looked a bit daft if it didn't have the flip screen cover.
But because of the material, I think it would be a nightmare taking it off, if it did cover every edge, as because it's really stiff, you need some leverage when you do want to remove it.

It might just be the batch you've got perhaps, I've just been around both cases, both on and off, and there are no sharp edges, in your case, a small nail file or wet'n'dry should do the trick.
I think I know what you mean about the fit, I too was a bit cautious as it "almost" sits flush with the screen, but there is a bit of a lip and I've shaken the hell out it and it's going know where haha.

I'd be more inclined to go for the one you've found, for that added protection, I have ordered a aluminum bumper and a flip case which I'll probably post a review about, unless someone already has.
I might buy the one you've posted about too lol.
Yeah I'm on the case hunt too. Already bought the S-Line with kickstand just yesterday. I also really like the look of the one I linked to above. I'm interested in this flip cover too , which I really like for its corner protection - should be protective enough for most falls and no magnet involved to interfere with the s-pen.
And worst of all, I don't even own a Note 2 yet. Crazy or what?!
Anyhow apologies for hijacking your useful review thread

I liked the protection and the grip from when I had it on my HTC but the silicone made it really alloying when putting it in and taking it out of my pocket and I'd assume it'd be worse since the Note is humongous. I'm guessing it's not a big deal to everyone else?

The silicone on my AMS case isn't very tacky at all. Also the only place it's on the outside is the corners, everything else is covered with plastic.
IMHO the Trident Aegis line of cases are the best on the market bar none. Better protection than the tpu type cases and not near as bulky with almost as good protection as some of the "Sarcophagus" type cases out.
I have had them on my ET4G, SG3, and now waiting for the GN2 Aegis to release! I like and believe in these cases so much I always get a blue one and a black one to swap out occassionally.
It is also the only case I will let my GF use on her new GS3 lol!!
.... wow they look sexy as ... fu*k ... love it

Does the silicone portion around screen, tight? I have a otterbox commuter case for my Iphone and the silicone portion is very lose where the hard portion doesn't cover. Very stupid design and one reason I am not buying another case from Otterbox.
I love the look of the Kraken's but the silicon inside plastic outside and the way the plastic links is horrible. comes off every time you drop it. bad design.
will wait for the case ology impact case.

i had to send my Kraken for my gs2 back because the power button broke when it dropped..then the small piece that is used to clip onto the holster also broke just before i sent it in. their customer service is excellent and they sent me a new one. two days ago the same clip piece broke on the new one. they do seem to come apart when dropped. excellent looking case that provides great protection, but needs work on the construction quality. the aegis on the other hand has been solid with no complaints...other than the wish for the AMS kickstand to be combined to it.
the review videos I watched show it popping apart every impact.
Hi All,
I just got this case in the interim until I get the otterbox defender. I had it fedex overnight because I usually put my phone in my pocket. It reminds me of the otterbox commuter but not bulky and its in a silver Aluminum finish with a good feel and not a fingerprint magnet. Not slippery. Tactile buttons are responsive without any problems. Very well built dual protection case. Access ports are not covered.

Not to be nosy but by the time you're done buying cases, I think you would have spent enough to buy squaretrade insurance.

Yeah the problem was that the Otterbox Defender wasn't available but all these other cases were so I had to go thru looking for a case that would fit in my pocket. The cheap tpu cases didn't instill confidence when I put it in my pocket and the Speck Candy shell case was a little better but it's rubber gray material frays when you put it in your pants. It also was more rigid than the tpu cases but I still was worried about it not being rigid enough. This case however is different and the hard shell is really rigid. No worries about putting this in my pants. The hard material is very solid and a very nice feel. Oh well still waiting for the otterbox but this will do until it gets here. Otterbox using Fedex smartpost sucks! I'm praying it gets here and not lost in the usps christmas frazzle. lol.
This one actually looks very nice. Interesting..
Wow, looks nice and sleek.
I see a seller in ebay has it for about $24.95.
Let me know how you like it when the Otterbox comes since this looks much thinner and easier to pocket.
Nice!..the color blends well with the white note 2..any other colors?..found some pink/white on ebay..
Psy, could you snap some pics of this case on your phone? Its hard for me to see how it looks with the stock images on their site. Thanks.

Finally stumbled across this case after searching for three days or so for a case for my incoming Note 2.
I just ordered it off ebay and had to cancel my other case I had ordered from Amazon. I figure the extra $8 will be well spent, and I really like the aesthetics of it. No kickstand is a positive for me.

How the sides hold up to pressure, around the outside of the screen? I noticed theres no support from the hard shell to stop the silicone lip from being pushed back from the screen. Ordered one, will just have to see I guess

Because the outer shell is very rigid there is very little play to move the silicone lip. You have to force it hard to move. This is not a case for changing batteries. I'm actually scared to pull the phone out of the case. I had the otterbox commuter for my old Galaxy Note i717 and the material for the outer shell of that case is less rigid than this case. my 2 cents.

Thats too bad, I have to do battery pulls occasionally (especially now that the power button long press doesnt reboot) and I usually depend on dual layer being fairly easy to remove. Right now the Aegis case I have feels like its bad to remove and replace frequently - which is good I guess in general just cus its snug, but bad of you need to remove the battery once or twice a day

Thanks for posting pictures. Mine should be coming in soon. I gather from your asher past that you're suggesting that removing the phone from the case seems pretty difficult?

I'm taking my phone (Galaxy S III albeit) out of the same case on a daily basis (to put into an arm sleeve for a run) and it holds up just fine - pry off one top corner, then another and you have your phone out of it.

Just got this case in last night and it is a great case no doubt, beautiful, not bulky, and offering decent protection, but holy cow is it tight and both hard to put on and remove. It's a concern for me, as I need to change the SIM when traveling.
I'm really afraid to damage the case, it is the tightest fit of any case for any device I have ever owned.

What are the thinnest Flex cases? Post pictures if you can. The only issue I have with the Flex if you call it a issue is that I don't want to hide the curves. lol I want the thinnest case. Might just have to go with a full body protector.
thanks
get this one bro; super thin, great grip ridges on the side, and it fits like a glove..

You have it? I might get the clear or red one. I guess a mall has cell phone shop that will like shrink wrap a protector on any phone/tab. lol I might take a look at that today.
yeah, I have the red one..its super thin, just like you are looking for..
problem with those shrink wrapped type skins is that if you drop the phone on its edge, on concrete, they wont keep you from chipping the phone...

Post some pictures of the case on your phone if you can. I just wanted something that will make the phone not as slippery with limited bulk possible. I'm not going to say what I want to say for the fear of jinking myself. lol

I will later today, after I exchange this defective phone...but trust me, this is the slimmest, thinnest tpu type case you could imagine for this phone..
I ended up ordering that case and another one yesterday. I guess I didn't need to start another thread.
Sorry mods.
sorry I forgot to post pics; got busy restoring the phone all day yesterday..
Trust me, if you wanted a thin, unobtrusive cast, you bought the right one..what other case did you get?

This one. Only a few bucks so what the heck. A local mall has a invisible shield store and I wanted to have them install one but they said it might be a week til they get it. Might buy one online and have them put it on. I'm kind of picky and thinking they might not stay on with a curved phone as well though. I've had clear plastic cases that don't add much bulk but that's not happening with a curved phone. lol
Fosmon HYBO-SK Series Hybrid PC + TPU Kickstand Case for LG G Flex (Black)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...N=B00HCNFVSO&linkCode=as2&tag=androheadl04-20
I had one of those on my one maxx; its OK, for a cheapo, but not as flexible as the other one you ordered..
for the price, its worth having around.
BTW, I had installed one of those skins on my flex; it was ok for a few days, then it started to come up around the round corners, so I don't know if one is good for a rounded phone like this. I am good at installing these things, but I couldn't get it perfect...
I'm still thinking about getting LG flip case. I know it's pricey but the discount helps and it provides good protection. Don't think you need a screen protctor with that case.

MPERO FLEX S Series Protective Case for LG G Flex
It's ok and doesn't add that much bulk. I don't think it fits like it should on my Flex because I have a Otter Box 360 on. I think I just want a pouch to put my Flex in when I go golfing.

Feather Shine
So I just put the Feather Shine on - it's a nice case, and looks pretty good. There's a strange thing, however: the corners on the front are shaped/recessed in such a way that when the phone is lying face down, the phone's top and bottom edges and corners are in contact with the table. I would prefer if the feather shine was what was touching the table.
I'm very curious about the Vest thing that LG has on their site. I can only find it (so far) from Korean vendors on eBay, with 3-4 week delivery times, so I haven't pulled the trigger. It seems to be minimalist protection, focusing protection exactly on the area I am concerned about: the front corners and top and bottom edges of the phone. Does anyone know someplace in the US that's selling these?
Thanks!
I have the quick window case. It's a nice design with nice patterns and such. The only thing I didn't like was that it really doesn't stand up to scratches much. It makes a nasty scuff Mark on the front of the door where it hits the back of the phone. I bought a vest from overseas last week for $20 on eBay. We'll see how that goes.

Not sure I understand the scuff mark. So the vest case overseas is the same as LG's but you save 40 bucks? Send me the link. Thanks
