[Q] Problem With wifi hotspot

Hello everyone....
I have a samsung galaxy gt n7000 ,ics v4.0.4, rooted using cwm and, i flashed"3.0.15_HydraCore_v4.3" with mobile odin
i am trying to create a portable wifi hotspot, it worked and all i could even set my passowrd and my own SSID, and also other devices were able to connect to it, but the problem was that it was not giving internet access to the devices.... HELP!!!!!

first check if you have a data connection active 2g or 3g..
wifi hotspot is for sharing data connection

Here no issue on open or with wpa2
Stock LR9 with stock kernel

Yeah theyre active but still no internet...if. you know could u tell me about the steps of fixing the issue or some causes to this problem...

try different kernel

Dont use a password leave hotspot open

Ok 2 things... first can i flash the stoc kernal... and how can i know its name
Second if i flash it, would i be able to gain the root advanteges, like overclocking and etc

no if u flash the stock kernel.. you wont be able to OC or UV...

u will also loose CWMR and go back to stock recovery... dangerous for wipes

JellyBam ROM

I'd like to say big thank you...and also i will tell you all,after i try many ROM for n7000 but still not satisfied me..and after i install jellybam rom..i said,"THIS IS AMAZING ROM THAT I EVER HAVE"..
and now i try jellybam 5.0.0 stable...everything work fine,
thank you guys,you gave a great effort for us

the only problem is,
unfortunately the process.android.process.acore has stopped keep pop up,and when i clear data on contact and contact storage...everything work normaly...

The only problem is " unfortunately the process.android.process.acore has stopped"?? I cannot use my phone because of that!! it keeps poping up all the time! I cannot enter any app!! and that thing keeps poping up all the time!!!! and by the way... I have galaxy s2 9100, not a N7000
help!!!

I went to the official Jellybam blog and then I found a simple solution, I cannot post the link directly because I am a XDA rookie

clear Contacts Storage
Settings > Apps > All > Contacts Storage -> clear data

Works fine for me... Evidently, make sure you have backed-up all your contact before (google account or other like Funambol).
Otherwise you can try other sulotion on this list (in french).

Problem after a long trouble of restart problem
And serial number: null

Try to reflash it with your last stable firmware via ODIN before that happened..

I've hade the same problem earlier after a power cut of right in the middle of the flash! Haha.
Firmware flash didn't help.
I'll try to find out what I did to bring it back..I'll get back to this if you still need some help.

It's not common but it does happen. It's like once a year..and I had the luck to use Odin just while it happened! haha

to disable factory mode , u need root explorer r/w , go to efs/factoryapp/factorymode , it will be off ,edit and put ON ,save and restart .

do you have CWM recovery? just download a rom like Dmod, and flash...
if you want you can flash via odin a stock 4.1.2 (or 4.1.1) ROM.
see here (Sammobile)-> http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/
select you phone model gt-8190(see if you have the8190, 8190N or 8190L version.) and your country
and share your results after trying ;D
and btw can you change you title to some thing like this "[Question] phone doesnt show serial"?(copy & paste)
you're also on the wrong sub-forum this should be posted under "Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting"

Try to do a backup of your apps+data with titanium backup and try to flash your stock rom, that should fix it.

By the way, congrats.....i have been experimenting some roms 1/2 months ago, and your rom is the best so far for the others!!! App Grenify rules =D, can have tons of apps and they work all properly, the phone stills fast and no reboots!!!!
Another thing, not much ringtones and alarms and notifications rings!!! How can i put some in my phone?
another question, is this rom only for X8 or it works in X10?

Hi you should try titanium backup from play store ;D

Thanks for the TIP.....another day with any problem Also running FB aplication faster than ever at my device.....but not fast at all...but think its a nice signal for the rom and configs..
Are you going to put Radio on next rom update ?

thanks for the reply, your ROM is the best JB for X8 i've ever try, fast and no suddenly reboots. But as far as i know, TB only grand us the ability of manage apps, not "app permission". am i wrong? can you suggest any other app that can do that for me, please. :fingers-crossed:

can you check smsc, becaus i cant send sms, i tried to change smsc via *#*#4636#*#* but having update error, i also tried to change smsc using "GO SMS Pro" but it still does not work. I tried using rom gingerDX with nAa-JB-06 kernel and i can send sms without problems.

Same here. Can't post on the your thread because 10 post limitation. but interestingly, i can post bug report there. Is this intentional or will be resolved by XDA?
Anyway, the bug report i submitted was about Tethering. With Faktory 2.0 & nAa-jb-06 kernel, USB Tethering and Wifi tethering with my laptop won't work. The problem is my laptop couldn't get IP Address from DHCP. Setting IP manually to 192.168.43.x with gateway 192.168.43.1 works.

Try with Yair Kernel and last version Faktory .

Already using Zyphon 2.0.
Flashed yair kernel (JB-0.3.ftf from http://yairpatch.com/blog/2013/10/yairpatch-kernel-for-xperia-x8/), and the issue is still there.

Solved - somehow I launched my mini in download mode and put old CWM recovery v4 via Odin. It works

By Mistake i downloaded and installed in this file for my galaxyGTs5570i . Now mobile is hanged ..I cant do any think with mobile totally blank. please help me to recover my mobile.

I'm facing a similar issue. I installed CWM 6.0.4.6 in my Samsung Galaxy Pop GT-S5570 using update-cwm-v6.0.4.6-rezzpect45.
Now my my phone has stuck into reboot loop. It always starts in recovery mode.
Solutions I tried:
Wipe data/factory reset.
Wipe cache partition.
Wipe dalvik cache.
Tried to connect through Odin v4.38, but it doesn't detect my phone anymore.
None of these worked.
Now I'm able to install neither CM-7 nor Gingerbread again.
Please help me get out of this..

Hi guys.. I'm so excited to inform you that I could save my Samsung Galaxy Pop from getting bricked.. :laugh:
I could do it by downloading and installing CWM-6.0.5.3-tass-jenkins.
