Hi Guys,
I am considering unlocking bootloader and rooting my razr i, does anyone know where I can find the 81.5.39001.Retail.en.GB to install over 81.5.31002.xt890.orange.en.gb.
I would like my phone to be unbranded to receive Jelly Bean as soon as it arrives.
Any comments would be welcome
Cheers

PS whats the difference between the 2 GB ROMS
551.1 MiB
529.7 MiB
The 39 has some bugfixes and Chrome as System App. And the Launcher is not so laggy as in the 31 Version.
Sent from my XT910
Not so laggy? The lag is completely gone with the 39!
Compared to Nova it's still not so laggy for me

You could actually compare the roms and then specify why official is the best for you, not just say it's the best..

I mean it's faster and more stable.
But i have used aokp on my phone ever since aokp ics was released for ob and i've never looked back

On aokp I found it solid day to day but a little sluggish. Cm10 as of today is the best for me. Aokp will off course catch up and probably surpass it with xda love

No. Won't work-this is a guess. I didn't do it and I even won't think about trying it.

there were forum and sites that reported i that Note in korea had JB update but the korean version of Note has a completely diff hardware specs.. to start with it has a Snapdragon processor
It will come to the N7000 and I don't think it will be too long, be patient don't go bricking just for the sake of it.

I recently flashed a Carbon ROM intended for N7100 on my N7000, luckily the only thing it did was erase my IMEI. only realized when I double checked what I had flashed that it was a wrong ROM.
It didn't work on mine when I flashed the Jelly bean update though I didn't spend much time with it since it was all ē¦ucked

A very confusing post, what has it to do with the title?
Anyway, all I can say is that I am extremely happy with JB and would not dream of going back to ICS

You can try this. Do a factory reset , flash cocore kernel , root you phone and install Lagfix app from playstore. I do it all with my phone and it work!
Or youcan try other firmware , India firmware is a good firmware to try
Sorry for my english

Try the Indian firmware. Warranty stays if you use official Samsung signed firmwares.
Also, go to developer options, scroll to the very bottom and limit background processes to 2.

Unroot is done simply by flashing stock FW again, and voila - no root. So he do not need to affraid of that.
I'm having the same issue with the Polish firmware. Jelly Bean was advertised as being faster and smoother but after updating from 2.3.6 to 4.1.2 via Kies my phone became really laggy (menu animations are choppy as hell, some apps like the phone one take up to 3 seconds to start up) and occasionally there are some really annoying lock-ups where the phone becomes completely unresponsive for 1-2 min. I tried doing a factory reset but that didn't do much. Overall I'm really disappointed with the official 4.1.2 update. Will rooting my phone and installing a custom core like CoCore help in a noticeable way?

Yes,imo after installing CoCore, there will be a definite lag reduction. Much smoother.Dialer may still take time to open though.. for that you can use third party apps like exdialer which is much faster..

I did this to the letter - it downgrades back to GB - WITHOUT having to root. I am a professional person and my phone is essential to my work and I'm very pleased with the result (though have old GB which is pretty good anyway)

Hi all I upgraded my phone to Jellybean. I cleared all the data and cache after updating via Recovery. But the phone is laggy as hell. It just freezes if you open more than application. Screen becomes unresponsive. The apps that I have moved to SD card disappear from homescreen if you reatart the phone. Really very annoyed with the update. Gingerbread was butter smooth. Now I want your opinion. Should I go back to GB or should root it and install a custom kernel? Please help.

Jb: slimbean or liquidsmooth. Also use right kernel, imho k kernel.
Or try return on GB gigabread+.
I don't think you'll be better on ics roms.

If you say that you have tried lots of JB ROMs. Try using ICS or GB but, in my opinion, I don't think that the games go laggy.
Also try flashing a custom kernel because that helps a lot!
