:good:
So here is the deal. I used this.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1498003
Did all the things correctly unlocked/ have CWM-Based Recovery v5.5.0.4 / have super user.
I backed up my factory reset phone so I can put on ROMS.
I downloaded this ROM/ the Google Apps http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2026675.
I Wiped Cache partition/ Wipe data and factory reset/ Wiped Dalvik Cache.
SO Now i went to go install my ROM on my Internal SD. Installation successful ect... for both Google Apps and the ROM.
Now I reboot and it's stuck at the htc screen with a green logo and white all around it.
I know how to fix it, it's really simple, but I Cannot figure out how to get a Custom ROM on to my phone it's seriously pissing me off. It seems no one else has this problem I have searched this thread for like ever. If someone could please help me that would be great... I will leave some extra information about my phone on the bottom to that could possibly help whoever is able to help me wiht this problem
THIS IS MY BOOTLOADER INFORMATION.

Is this really the case? I'm using the beta 2 version I believe..5.8.something with touch..never had a problem...tried twrp before and had issues wiping some parts..mount errors, etc.. so I stuck with this one as I've had no problems. In all honesty I can't even figure out which exact recovery I'm on and I lost the .IMG file I had for it a while back due to having to wipe my PC. Pretty sure its cwm_beta2 if memory serves me. And it works every time. Nandroids too.

Well basically I installed the ROM and it would freeze every 2 seconds btw whats the real reaesoning? I only see another Recovery called WCX is that better?
New Problem guys if you can read the Edit I have made and if anyone has knowledge on this topic much appreciated if someone can help me. I really am so confused as why no Custom ROMS i am installing will not work. ( I fixed the first issue of being stuck at htc screen by flashing boot.img manually in fastboot) I just don't understand that why now it either freezes or just bootloops on any rom i ahve used is there something I am missing?

Until we get an official ClockworkMod Touch recovery, this will do. Everything works except what is mentioned. It should be as stable as standard CWM as that's what it's based off.

In a quest for a customizable ROM that was built upon ICS, I came across Elegancia's Pegasus, and I thought I would give it a try. To my horror, the ROM was incredibly UGLY (no offense) and I decided to reboot into recovery. As I did, the recovery page launched for about a split second before hitting the white HTC Screen of Death. So, I rebooted it, and now I'm stuck in an Elegancia bootloop that won't end.
And so my predicament: I can't recover, nor can I boot. What to do from here? Through the piece of garbage away?
nvm this
Schoutse said:
You can still boot into bootloader right?
You need to relock bootloader and run an RUU.
To do so boot into bootloader (volume down + power button), then choose fastboot and connect it with the cable to your computer.
On your computer run the fastboot.exe and type the command "fastboot oem lock" without the quotations.
Then find an RUU here:
Holiday RUU's
and choose one of your carrier.
Run the .exe and when its finished you have the stock rom again.
If you want to get a custom rom do all the steps for flashing roms again and unlock bootloader again.
I think this is how it works.
Edit: you will lose your data..

No need to do all that... Fastboot erase cache will fix the issue. Then re-flash your recovery and you are set.

Hey guys i just rooted my HTC Vivid and when i go to install a custom rom which was the CM10 Nightly rom it would get stuck on the cynagen boot logo. Also im using TWRP 2.6 just to let you know. I rooted with superuser 1.25. Thanks please if you can give me a step by step tutorial i would really appreciate it! If you can give me a custom rom link as well! Thanks!
Did you do a full wipe? Data, cache, dalvik all need to be wiped. Did you unzip the ROM and make a copy of the boot.img file and flash it in fastboot? Are you s-off or s-on?

Before posting an 'I have a problem' thread... You should read...
The boot.img and the WiFi drivers are linked... If you don't flash the kernel... Your WiFi will never work...
It says so on EVERY OP for EVERY ROM...
Please stop only reading the first 2 sentences of the OP and read the whole thing... I am truly getting sick of people asking the same damn questions for over 2 years...

Alright rignfool. If you can still help me I would gladly appreciate it. I recently flashed the kitkat 4.4 rom and whenever I'm for example listening to music on this app called rocketplayer and I go to the homescreen it switches the music input from the headphones to the internal phone speaker. I also tried out a different app but it was the same problem. Furthermore, whenever I used the built in app which is apollo it says dsp manager has stopped working and then says you can blame the split screen. Ofcourse, the split screen isnt designed for the Htc Vivid that I have but how do i stop the problem that im having?
