today i think to setup the pattern lock , but when i went in the settings, i didn't found that feature. Where is Screen Lock feature in Settings of optimus 4x hd ?

i am a happy optimus 2x owner, but i have noticed that the multitouch detects only 2 fingers, i don't know if it is a hardware of software issu?
please help?
Do state what ROM you're using. If it's unmodified, it's stock rom. And 2 fingers only on stock rom isn't normal.
Mine has 10 fingers no matter what rom I use.
My 2X has also 10 fingers with every rom.
i have tested with different roms stock and custom
but it's the same thing
how are you testing it?
even with 10 finger support in the rom, and hardware, most apps will still detect only 2 fingers.
touch-screen testing applications are the only ones i know that can actually detect the 10 touch points the hardware can detect.
i tested multitouch visualizer from the market

Go into the hidden menu. On phone keypad 1809#*990#
And find the touch test under the 'Device Test' menu
Should recognise 10 touches at once. Also as mentioned, it's entirely application dependent.. if they don't code for more than 2 in an application, it's not gonna recognise more than 2.
It seems that I can't get into the hidden menu... I'm on CM...

I have tested that and only 2 points.
But i have noticed than the tuch firmware in the same menue shows 0, i think it should be updated, but i dont know how!!!

another method for testing is to download FRUIT NINJA and slice with all your fingers at the same time.. ;D (srsly!)

Hi guys. I bought LG Optimus 4X HD nearly a week ago and I noticed that after heavy use (gaming) area around back camera is hot. So my question is simple - what is normal Optimis 4X HD temperature or how hot your Optimus 4X HD is?
Don't worry - mine gets very hot as well when gaming and it seems to be the normal case.
Playing Dead Trigger for a couple of hours and the top side (left side on landscape) goes pretty hot...don't know the actual temperature.

I come from HTC`s HD2 and every custom rom benefited from this option on the given hardware.
With the 4X HD I`m not really sure...any thoughts? Should I enable Hardware Acceleration?

Enable HW Acceleration.
As for GPU Rendering, I see minimal difference as the UI on the O4X is already quite smooth but personally, I enabled it.

I did enable it and as you pointed out, the UI is smooth as hell already, so no change there. I do wonder if its draining my battery faster...

It also causes some apps not to open , for instance Androidify.

Thanks to xda developers forums, I have just managed to root my LG P880 (4xHD). However I now find that when I touch the screen, I see a dot appear at the point of contact and this moves as my finger moves about the screen. It also leaves a fine blue line. Finally, there is a narrow section across the top of the screen. I have attached a screen shot to demonstrate.
Can anyone tell me what these are and whether/how I can remove them?
You got a developer Option activated.
Disable it under:
Settings > Developer Options > Pointer location
But dont forget: there is an extra section for quetions in this forum.
