I've got Widget Locker installed and it's extremely better than the default lockscreen. The only issue is the delayed and sometimes inoperable "auto swipe" feature. It likes to work if it isn't in landscape mode.
Is there any way to remove the stock blur lockscreen and replace it with Widget Locker without using easy-wake?
Edit: I'm using Maverick v4.5 if it makes a difference.

But that will also remove the pattern lock from stock. (right??)
I tried numerous apps and hacks to remove the stock lockscreen while remaining pattern lock. There's one app that does it but there's always a delay or glitch.

It's pretty standard procedure for touchscreen devices, isn't it? My iPad makes me swipe to unlock then type in my lockscreen passphrase almost all of the time, as does my iPod Touch.
I prefer it this way, actually. Muscle memory always has my thumb poised to swipe to unlock, and it's easier for me for the procedure to be consistent rather than different when the pattern lock time has passed. It's also easier when I need to tel my wife what to do when we are driving and I get a text message...

No it's not normal. Entering your password/pattern lock already unlocks your phone - there's no need to do a swipe before that.
If only widgetlocker had it's own built-in security features

Close, but this removes the passcode/pattern/password lock. Its almost the same as using the easy wake option without hardware buttons waking the device.
It might not be possible but I'm looking to keep the passcode if it is.

Even with widgetlocker it's still a bit buggy/glitchy. Pretty often the stock lockscreen comes up for me or it flashes for 1sec. Very annoying.
Also when you draw your pattern wrong it will always show the stock lockscreen.
I wish there was a way to JUST remove the lockscreen blur slide screen, without removing the security features
Widget Locker bugs out on me too. It sometimes seems to skip the lock screen and auto swipe on my pass code screen, pushing a bunch of numbers.
Either way, I'll just SeekDroid my phone for security and use Widget Locker until I find a better solution.

Is there a way to completely disable the slide to lock screen everytime the screen times out?
It tends to get annoying time to time and also since I use a Folio case, I would like to just open the cover, press the power and it be ready to use.
No and this will not been changed.
I installed another options which lock and screen off with the sensor but still the screen lock pop-up.

look into the market for app called ( Keyguard Disable )
No lock from the market is the best, or if you flash cm7 there's an option to disable it.

Hey guy's I've found that nolock does work, but it also shut off the availability of any other Play Store alternatives. I found that freezing or deleting the sprint OMADM.apk will disable stock and also alow any after market lockscreens such as holo's to work, only thing is the pin or password, or face unlock.
Hi, I'm using slim 4.0, I like the 4 prong app selector lock screen but would like to use, prior to that screen, an actual lock screen like the pattern to make my phone slightly more secure. Is this possible? How?
Thanks much,

It's possible to have the Slim lock screen as well as the pattern. To activate the pattern lock screen, go to Settings and then Security then pick Pattern under the Screen lock section. Then go back to Settings and ASS (Advanced Slim Settings) and pick the Lockscreen options and scroll down near the bottom and check Show lockscreen before unlock.
It will show the Slim screen where you can select one of your four apps, but to launch the app you will need to draw the pattern. I realize that this doesn't exactly answer your question since you wanted the pattern before Slim, but it will still make your phone more secure by requiring the pattern to fully unlock the phone.
Does anyone else have this problem with the clock on the lock screen after the 4.2.2 update? Every other power cycle, it looks really different. Also when rotated, it looks normal. Yes I know the normal look is hours in bold and minutes in regular font, but this is something completely different. Yes I searched xda and google and could only find people having issues with the bold font. FWIW, I used adb sideload to install the update. Video below.
I'm seeing the same thing on my Nexus 4. When I turn the screen on the time is offset to the right and the hours are not bold. If I cycle the screen off and on again its back to normal.

Interesting. I haven't updated my N4 to 4.2.2 but I see no issues with it in 4.2.1. The N7 did not have this issue on 4.2.1. either. Anyone else having this issue? Maybe I need to reflash the update?

I wouldn't mind using another widget on my lock screen, but since I am connected to my companys exchange server, I need to put in a password which effectively locks me into using the stock clock widget. I am looking for a fix to this issue as it is bugging the crap out of me.
So I did some more testing and found out the bug only occurs if I have my MS Exchange account linked. If I remove the account the bug disappears. I tried this with every screen lock option (minus face unlock).
MountainDrew, are you also using the Email App for MS Exchange?
Noticed this as well, but I use deskclock as my main widget, so it doesent really mater

Someone has already started a bug report on this issue. Seems as it is 4.2.2 specific and not just device specific.

I have been using HD Widgets lock-screen widget for a long time but Dash Clock has definitely better usage.
Though HD Widgets has a beautiful look and more customization options..
Just personal preference. I personally just really dislike the way HD Widgets and Beautiful Widgets look.
Sorry guys but this thread is not a discussion about different widgets. Another bug report on google code has this issue correlated to the lock screen widget set by device administrator policy. This means the lock screen widgets are frozen and not changeable so any alternatives are essentially useless.

Did you read any of my posts or the bug report at all? It is clearly explained that lock screen widgets are frozen if you have device adminstrator policy set (usually by a MS Exchage Server if you want to access work email). If I remove my MS Exchange account, I can do whatever I want and this bug goes away.

No. It's a pretty silly bug. Considering how awful the stock lock screen clock is, I would consider it an improvement.

Again, I do not have the option to change my lock screen widget because I use MS Exchange for work. I'm stuck with the stock clock widget and this bug is annoying. Hey all ....
I am having some extremely frustrating problems with Widget Locker Lockscreen here on my HTC One.
First, I can't seem to get the homehelper to work correctly as it doesn't even look like its saving my settings when I switch launchers or anything for testing. I don't need a PIN or security on my phone as deep as setting that, I just don't want the home button to take me to the home screen when on the lockscreen. GO locker did this beautifully for me, and didn't have the second issue below.
Second, when it does work for like 10 seconds, I get an annoying flicker of it trying to paint the homescreen then going back to the lockscreen.
Anyone else experiencing any of these issues or know how to fix them? I have emailed the created of WL a couple of times stating the problems I was having within the app and got nothing back, so its time to ask the XDA Community.
Thanks
I experienced the same problems as you. It was an amazing app when it was on my Nexus one, still is used. But on the Htc One its pretty lackluster. I know I have nothing to contribute but I just uninstalled it...

Your HTC One is running ARHD as well (well from your signature it says it is) ... I am on 11.5.
Can someone on a different ROM check to see if they are having these issues as well? I know a lot of people are using the app so someone on a different ROM shouldnt be hard to find

Hey, I'm on fully converted GE. I use nova/widgetlocker religiously. Unfortunately, I have the same problems when I try to use homehelper. Its like an inefficient workaround, shows the "redraw" of home but tries to maintain WL. This isn't a working solution. I've disabled it and for the time being, I've just tried to ignore the home button while lock screen. Its always just power button or swipe (if i'm using custom kernel) then unlock using lockscreen. I've looked for other lockscreen alternatives but in terms of features, nothing compares to WL. I hope the devs bring out an update in the near future to address these issues.

I was able to get rid of the flicker by turning on "HomeHelper ondemand via root" in Advanced > Root Helper (in addition to enabling HopeHelper). I'm currently on TrickDroid 8.00 and WidgetLocker 2.4beta8.

Turned on HomeHelper ondemand via root .... it stopped the home button bypass of the lockscreen but I still have the flicker
Crazy observation ....
I cleared all my settings, defaults, etc this morning before I posted about the homehelper with root .... and still had the flicker
Just playing around with my phone now I changed my lockscreen to have an alternate background from my home screen .... no more flicker on my device ...
Do you guys have alternate backgrounds? If not, can you try switch to one and see if you still get the flicker?

TrickDroid, as posted above, seems to not have any issues either. Is there anyone else on TrickDroid or ViperRom that has had issues?
I can't see why it would be limited to ARHD and GE Roms on the One, but since I don't know much about how these are put together, I guess anything is possible.
Also to note, after my change yesterday, I haven't had an issue since.

do you guys know any way to use the default lockscreen when you get a call?
the only two possibilities that I found is to either have no lockscreen or you don't see who's calling you (because you need to unlock widget locker first) - both not ideal if you ask me

Well I dunno about you. But I am not having any issue for when someone calls me. but then again I didn't put any sort of security on my phone.
I just have Widget Locker Lockscreen enabled. someone calls me goes straight to answer/decline for me
Using default lockscreen, there is this cool feature (widget?) that shows controls and info of music that is currently playing, no matter what is the player you are using (I use both Spotify and Poweramp). Is there similar widget available that could be used with Widget Locker? I have found some that has support for Poweramp, but for spotify none. I'd rather not add both player's own widget to Widget Locker, it would be just spending space (and Spotify's widget is quite ugly).

me too, but that's the problem: you don't have to swipe up to answer or decline the call, the phone is unlocked so you only have to tap answer or decline... this may cause you to accept/decline calls by accident
I would like to have the default incoming call screen where you have to swipe up to accept the call together with widget locker, but I didn't find a way yet to achieve that

The stock 5.0 notification screen in nice, but kind of pointless on the Moto X since the Touchless controls do a much better job.
The problem is that it now takes two touches to get to the home screen where once used to suffice. Anyone figure out a way to bypass this yet?
On Verizon, so no root unfortunately
If you swipe up on the lock screen it will go to the homescreen with one swipe.

In Lollipop, you can set your security level to "none" instead of "swipe" as long as your guest account is disabled. If guest account is enabled, the "none" option isn't available.
You still have to swipe past the notification screen every time you hit the power button....

Huh? I'm talking about how to remove the swipe requirement. Just click on the aqua colored avatar in the upper right corner in quick settings. A dialog box appears and in the lower left is the option to "remove guest" account. Once you do that, "none" appears as option, in addition to the others (swipe, PIN, pattern) as a means of unlocking the device.
But I want to have PIN lock The Smart Lock setting will turn the pin off at home, but doesn't remove the need to swipe the Notifications screen away.

I agree with the original poster. This is unnecessary and annoying added step (swipe) to access the homescreen from a pattern, pin, password locks.
