[Q] Kernel flashing through Odin fails

Everytime I try to flash a kernel it fails leaving me with the BSOD yet flashing a full ROM works fine. Ive tried the latest Speedmod and Semaphore kernels so far. Im not loosing download mode which is good but it is getting kind of annoying now as I cant get CWM on my phone.
Any Ideas?
Cheers
Have you tried sgs kernel flasher for flashing kernels?

I havn't. The point is that its always worked up untill today and I'd like an idea of why its not working now. BTW chainfires kernel wont flash either.
Im using EZBase Odin. Flashing Roms work its just kernels on thier own that fails.
Post screen shot of odin just before you hit start please

even my last rooting was always stopping. that at 90%, 50%.. but now as it just started, it stops already. :/
thanks in advance.
Hmmm.. Check if ur files are downloaded properly...
Sometimes that causes problem too...
If my post helped, dont mind pressing the thanks button
u're just rooting your phone? u need just a kernel and maybe a pit, you dont need all of this stuff what u are using on odin... (csc, phone, etc)

Froyo ROM... just for fun.

I bought my SGA(L) with Gingerbread installed. I'm currently using Apocalypse final (link2sd, swapper... the works) and am very satisfied with it. But I've never used Froyo and curiosity is killing me.
Can someone point to a late development, stable, flashable Froyo? Just for fun, as I said.
Edit: c'mon guys; don't make odinize a rom. I've looked up but can't find anything. Any flashable Froyo ROM?
Thnx

Stock froyo is quite a lot like stock gingerbread but with more bugs (want your ace randomly turning off and refusing to start?)
Sent from the cracked screen of my GALAXY Ace.
That is why I was looking for a flashable version of it. Easy to install, easy to get rid of; just to feel it a bit.
Well, I'll stick to gingerbread.
Thanks guys.

slimkat 4.4.2 rc1 + mckay 0609 = no response

Hi
I had previously cyanogen 4.2.2
Yesterday I have installed this Slimkat. I runs with semaphore in default. Today I have installed Kernel from this thread in CWM. Mackay_kernel_0.609_twrp_CMC-signed.zip to be exact. My phone hangs in the switch-on-screen as in the picture below. Did anyone have similar problem or did I break my phone?

I forgot to post an update yesterday.
I did manage to connect my phone to pc and recognize it with ODIN. The trick was I did this on my laptop from work running win7 with a set of +2 years of multiple installation of drivers on it (my home pc is win8.1). Then it was just a case of downloading semaphore 3.4.0 tarball for i9000. Phone did boot correctly.
to mods: Please close this topic. Everything is fine now. My bad
