[Q] Black screen after reboot - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i have 2.3.3 . i dont have any rom. I just turned my phone to factory settings. Everythings work fine if someone call or sms i will get it. but my desktop is black. i guess touchwizz doesnt work. what should i do ?
Now i did wipe cache i phone doesnt start its tuck in S screen :crying:

Try to enter recovery and reflash your ROM.

but i have no rom i just rooted to 2.3.3 after 1 years ago and thats it. this is what i have;

Yes, you have it. It's stock/factory ROM. You can download any stock ROM from samsung-updates.com or you can download a custom ROM from XDA.
Or you can install any other launcher and try with it, that's an easier method.

You should be upgrade your firmware

I have the Sprint version of the tab. I want too root but I'd like to have the factory firmware just in case of issues. Can someone point me in the right direction to the file? I've attatched my set up. I found the ea24 file which did not work.

is this applicable to the P1010 (SGT Wifi version)? i want to do some experiments on my SGT but afraid that if something goes wrong, i won't be able to restore it back to the original state.

Noob [Q]: CWM in Rom Manager

I want to back up my stock rom for International SGT, rooted, using CWM from Rom Mgr.
When I try to install CWM, I get this option, and Im not sure which model to choose. I've seen this Q before but I couldnt find it again.

Also flashing any of the Overcome roms will give you CWR abilities.

Also, most people would advise against using rom manager. The cwm it has isnt specifically for the tab, so it tends to cause more harm than good.

Hi i am using xxlq2 ics rooted rom. Rooted by using dr.ketan's guide. I want to install rom named criskelo but dont know how should i proceed now. I Have installed mobile odin pro but dont know what to do with. Anybody kind enough to help me with the procedure of installing or guide me to the link where all necessary info is available?
Again.. My rom is stock ics xxlq2 rooted and have stock kernel.

[Q] c-rom bean 2.1 calendar gone

I updated my c-rom bean to 2.1 and since then my google calendar is gone.
Flashing gapps didn't work either.
Do someone have an idea?

Does it matter which kernel...?

Hello guys , I just watched a bunch of videos and guides about rooting and found that ot takes less than 10 seconds to flash , So i decided to flash PhilZ kernel and read through the thread till links at last , i got confused and didnt know what to do , i want to flash it thru stock recovery , Here is my device info tell me which one to flash

Flash the zip version if the kernel that's closest to the rom build number.

ics kernels have not been updated above 3.99.. but you can still use them.
