Stock gallery app show photos doubled! WHY?

why gallery app now starts to show me 2 times each pics saved on my external SD?
For example if i go in the file manager a folder has 44 photos, but stock gallery app is show the same folder with 88 photos, with each foto doubled...
What can i do?

There's a bug which seem to affect all android devices. It's nothing serious.
Go to settings --> application --> manage applications --> filter to all processes --> Media storage
From there, clear data or force close.
After doing that, restart your phone and let media storage re-scan your files.

I don't know why,but you can move the pics to the sdcard,then it will be OK

my fault, but when i realised that i wrote in development it was too late and i didn't know how to move the thread...sorry...

go to settings > application > all
browse to:
gallery
mediacontent or mediastorage (can't remember?)
force close and clear data/cache on both.
then browse to /sdcard and delete the Android folder.
reboot and you should be good.

[Q] Build 13 and Music APP

Hi to All from Italy..
i have installed build 13 after cache and data wipe.. very awesome rom.. now the camera zoom work correctly. The only issue i find is in the music app.. after one reebot of the device, music app create a new instance of all the song.. now in my phone i find three albums with 45 songs because i have restarted my phone four times.
When i try to play music the app crashing down,
I have tryed to reinstall the ROM with new cache and data and davilk cache and reinstall gapp 7.1 but the problem is the same..
The only solution i find is to disable music app and install power amp but i prefer to use the original CM7 Music App.
I like the integrated commands on the screen lock.
In Build 12 music app work correctly..
Anyone have a solution for this issue?

Well i thought this problem was solved in the last builds...
anyway, go to settings -> apps > media storage > clear data and cache

Thanks for your response.. i tried it but doesn't work correctly..
At the next reboot, music app add another new instance into all the old.. i'm sure this bug is inexistant on the previous build (12)
I think is a problem of the music app, not the build.
You know where i can find the last version of music app? I want try to install it...

you could try to clear the data (same procedure as for the media storage) with the music app first

I have tried your solution.. For firts I was go in the setting of the music app and clear all data.. Then reboot my device but at the new reboot, music app add another new instance of music.. Now I have 67 tracks of the same song.. Thanks anyway!!

Excuse me but i'm really stupid.. now i have follow at letter your first solution.. i haven't undestand first..
i'm wrong because i go directly on Setting- App - Music App then clear data and cache..
Because i doesn't knew the existence of Media Storage inside Application Setting..

No nothing..!! After the second reboot the problem is the same.. Music app first crashing then recharge the same song at any reboot of the device..

Totally erasing a game

I recently downloaded a game for my son to play on my note ( iHorse Racing ) which he loves, but he got off to a bad start and wants to begin again from the start.
so i uninstalled the game and clearded data, but when i installed it again, i started me with the horse i picked in the last start.
SO.....
how do i totally erase everything to do with the game, so when i install it again, the note dont assume i had it before??

Try clearing the data and cache for the game, once installed

this happens because you have allowed google to keep backup of your phone data. this enables restoring of your app data. To resolve this you need to delete the data file of the game after uninstalling(use a root browser) and uncheck restore data settings from play store.

I think you can leave it installed, but clear the data from settings>Applications.

use a file explorer to delete all the folders and reinstall

check in sdcard\android\obb & data folder for files of the game.. then delete it.
also it could be stored in the android.secure folder. to access it you will need to mount the usb storage in CWM recovery

Problem In Disabling/Enabling Applications

Hi everyone, I have this weird problem with my ZR which I just noticed now.
My walkman app icon was not in the app drawer position which I have placed it into, and upon checking the widget, it has no album art displayed (all my music has album art), and so Upon checking in my app drawer, Its Icon is gone.
I checked it in the applications (inside settings), and it was there, So I Disabled it and reenabled it but to my surprise, Whenever I Open It, it just Force closes. Any help?
Btw, I'm on Pure stock ZR (as in all stock), If you will suggest to flash/factory reset it, is there a way to backup my application data? Thanks!
EDIT : I readded the walkman widget and it appears that it can play my music by just pressing the buttons in it, but it cannot still open the walkman app

You can get a backup using backup and restore (it will take applications data) but before please do this, go into applications in settings, go to the all tab goto the walkman and clear data on it, also you can try removing walkman.apk from system folder and then re insert it! Let us know if you get any success.
Also titanium backup is the best backup app in my android adventure history

use flashtool and reflash and make sure u UNCHECK wipe data

Hmm, I will try it next time, I just reflashed my phone without any application backup. Its just really weird that by just disabling and reenabling the walkman application will make it not work anymore.

Thanks for the tip, I got my problem solved by flashing it again.
Anyone got an idea why did my Walkman app become broken? I mean it disappeared from my menu, I'm worried because it might happen again, the only thing I remember before it happened is I was playing music, then I stopped it, put it in my pocket, then after some time, I checked it and its icon was gone

System uids inconsistent problem

Hi, all:
I got System uids inconsistent problem when restart z1(4.4.4)
Then go to /data/system/uiderrors.txt , I see messenges like attachments :
Adding duplicate shared id:1002 name=com.sony.nfx.app.wirelesscontroller
I had wipe cache and dalvik cache, but not work.
How to fix it without wipe data?

I had freezed DUALSHOCK app, but not work.

I solve this problem.
I use titanium to restore apps, but a while it stop.
So the broken app is in data/app folder.
After I delete that folder, and restart phone, everything is fine.

Hi, I'm sorry for type wrong folder.
The right folder is data\app, just find out bad apps and delete it.
If you can't delete it, be sure root you phone first.
