bury your AHD in the ground and water it well , be sure its in a well lit place . Also use some fertilizers to speed it up . Your AHD should get plenty of roots in no time :good:

This or the toolkit works on all fw.
If you feel like you still want ota or kies to work for updates... don't even try it if you can't even find root on your own
There's a lot more to know than just how to root it.

method should still be the same regardless of AMC or AMD or AMB ROM variant

My mom has gotten.....jealous, of what my phone can do (it's running PACman). She has the same phone as us but I've given her roms before but she ends up "exploring" files she shouldn't (I spent 4 days once trying to get back multiple, critical files she accidentally deleted...) I was wondering whats the simplest rom for the AHD (it can't be stock cause she knows what that looks like sadly) any Ideas would be great:fingers-crossed:

take whatever ROM she likes and use chef freezer and remove the file manager then put in a non-root file manger so she cannot delete anything important.
Install nova launcher / or any other ??
I don't think she will be able to recognize the stock then.
yeah just hide the icons for the root explorer or whatever. CM10.1 or AOKP are good beginner roms

I find PanaroidAndroid rather easy to to use. PAC is definitely not for the average user. I think there is a way to hide icons even in app drawer.

You could use XenonHd its fast and ive been using it for a while
Try xperiamod.. Its default file manager has no access to system files.. It allows you to access internal memory(legacy 0), SD card and USB only..

just wondering if any UK RAZR I owners have access to the demand 5 apk file or if they own a Samsung phone could they rip it and put on drop box or something as only Samsung devices in the UK have access to it.

Yo dudes I have a copy works on my hox ill post a link if u want, it only works on WiFi for all handsets though which is poinless if u have all u can eat data......

Thanks very much,I know you need WiFi but I mainly wanted it for home any way and for my nexus7, it's not an easily available apk but now I have it ,its titanium backup time lol.

THanks so much! However.. like most official VOD apps, this refuses to play on rooted systems, unfortunately. I tried many "root hiders" including an xposed module (on CM11) but still no joy. Same for Sky etc apps.
