What exactly did you try with ODIN?
What was your position before you used ODIN?
Can you get any sign of life from your phone? Tried alternate battery etc?
you need version 1.85 or I think 1.87, not latest version

hey guys,
i was wondering what was the easiest way to root and install clockworkmod recovery on my phone?
i have realized that you have probably seen this question many times before and i apologize for that. i have tried searching for this and although i have found many results i find myself confused about which one is best and easiest to do.
all i am asking is if anyone could possibly post a link to and easy to follow guide to accomplish this
sorry and thanks in advance
The easiest is to flash the root package ( should end in .tar) into the PDA section via Odin with your phone in Download Mode

if someone would kindly write down the file name of what i need that would be greatly appreciated
U should get a better firmware like jw4...
And cf root for it is easily available...

okay so it recognizes my phone, and im using jw4 because there is no jw6, well as far as i can find but after pressing start it fails
i have no idea why
i dont know if this is related or not but when i extract the file i got from the cf-root thread it is not one that i can use in odin so i use the file i downloaded and it is still a tar file
Just put the.tar in pda and flash

Choose The OPS file on ODIN and tick one package there and choose the file on one package and start the process
First you need to go to download mode...

Guys...these instructions are for s5830 not s5830i. In our odin we dont need ops, we havent got one package, just phone, pda etc. If you know the latest odin for S5830i(not for s5830) please post it! You're kind!
All hotfile links are dead because they shut it down and I want to install Peter's Rom but I can't without S6500XXDL3. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

Dear @denson9874 even 3.10.7 didn't worked for me because i was not able to uncheck "Reactivation Lock" so i downgraded my firmware from 5.0.1 Lollipop to 4.4.4 Kitkat and boom i was able to uncheck my "Reactivation Lock". ROOT DONE :victory:
Glad you got it working!!!
