1. Download the gingerbread-2.3.6-root.zip file from my drop box.

I installed this ROM today. Look wise, its all same as in with 2.3.5 or any GB Stock ROMs.
But I'm really annoyed with the battery icon since GB 2.3.3, i felt too odd.
But see this icons :-

I don't know. However, it seems it doesn't support it since I couldn't find Arabic language in Locale and text settings.

After Odin says pass, remove your phone then, go to recovery mode and wipe data/do a factory reset. ANd then reboot your phone everything will be fine.

Can we use dta2sd script with this ROM... I have rooted my phone and installed CWM 5 thro odin.... dta2sd doesn't seem to work with this ROM or does it...?

no, dta2sd is for custom roms and it doesn't work in stock roms. It also requires init.d script support that is also not available in stock rom. So, only way to use a2sd is to use a2sd app from market or Install Manager Pro v3.2 or similar apps.

Thanks yagya for kind reply... you have made the flashing process super easy... I keep referring to your blogspot... Nice & very easy... I have flashed this ROM (Official) and it is very good I must say.. till now using CM7 RC4 by squadzone .. can we use Link2sd if we have ext3 partition everytime I run link2sd it says script can not be mounted .. How to mount ext3 partition after boot.

To flash the FirmWare is needed SamSung drivers installed and the ODIN3 v3.07.
Turn off the PHONE, press and hold VOL-UP + VOL-DOWN + POWER
select download mode in screen and start ODIN3, inside ODIN3 select your files, PIT, BOOT, PHONE, PDA, CSC, the BOOT file not needed!
If you have only one file xxxx.tar.md5 put into PDA.
Only leave selected the checkbox, reboot and Factory reset.
Just press START!

The same as s5830i

looks like samsung love to revise galaxy ace to never revision number.
previously we got gt-s5830i, now this the gt-s5830c. maybe their improve something under the hood to make it better than original generic gt-s5830. so hows the battery life? it it crappy?

The battery lasting up two days. in my use.
In my work the FM radio is always on.
And when I'm home I browsed through a Wi-Fi
When in idle the line of battery drain is still not declie this is incredible.

Its a russian stock firmware and supports an updates to way ota ( 14,04 mb )

There are no custom ROM's for s5830i...and we're waiting for a new software update from samsung because many 3D games don't work and the GPU is not working at full.

Here in Brazil has made ​​cases of cell blocks after they tried to apply the CWM Recovery and another method of ROOT!

yes, I install thats firmware from odin 1.85 because 4.38 dont reconigzed the phone.

Sorry, that it aint goin to happen, the phone seems to not have actual GPU for 3D processing.
VideoCore IV HW seems to be a software based renderer,and renders using CPU processing

It doesn't even have a dedicated GPU

I have writen an e-mail to samsung support center and they answered that s5830i is better than s5830 but there is no software for s5830i.So the phone is not using all of it's power.The VideoCore IV HW is better than the adreno is they said.

The VideoCore IV BCM2763 processor improves on the VideoCore III with support for 1080p encode and decode, along with higher resolution camera support and faster 2D and 3D graphics, all at very low power.
but but as armv6 is still there no real use of this improvement

as you are rooted can you look in that path using some root file manager ?? it exists in all linux based devices so it must be there

1. Do Nandroid backup
2. Do a factory reset/data wipe (of course you can try to install the ROM over other ICS roms)
3. Install the ROM and Gapps ( If needed )

HOW TO OPTIMIZE THIS ROM FOR ULTIMATE SPEED
Go to settings and clock on developer options.
Then change windows animation scale to 0.5x
Also change transition animation scale to 0.5x
Lastly change animation duration scale to 0.5x

How could it work with a different partition layout. It's either one or the other. So it's obviously not working on the ics one.
Oh and it will certainly suffer from the call bug as well.

It is not for ICS partition wont start instalation i wil try to change partition with AIO-P990-ToolKit from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2020737 and have one more guestion is in this rom call bug fix

PS Don't use the navbar enabler or change the DPI because it Causes Bootloop
Important: to factory reset you must reinstall the rom because most of the apps are on the data partition

Im also interested in OTG. Our jena doesnt support it hardware wise...

its a good thing to hear that finally someone cares about cm9 , you fixed wifi tethering ??? if this rom is based on the cm9 that we already have notice that wifi tethering isn't working in settings but only using an app , and otg ! its a dream that we all want to become true but sorry to be pecimestic i dont think its technially possible with mini 2 , did you compile all the stuff from source ? thanx for the rom it seems nice

Hey @theonepharaoh, are you sure this is for the Mini 2? The features don't seem to be right... This ROM belongs to the Galaxy Wonder forums (ik cos i own a GW).
For Jena users, sadly, i don't think theres any ongoing android development for the Mini 2 yet especially CM9. So we're stucked.

OP said the ROM is for Mini 2. I believe he port his work to the Mini 2 from the GWonder forums. Even if its not, a bootloop can still be resolved by flashing another ROM rite?

Try to remove this and the rom will work ! do use the boot loop fix! it will not fix anything still got bootloop! i managed to install and works, but the launcher stop working! i get in settings via status bar and turned on wifi! when programs start auto updating i clicked on one of them and voila! a was able to search and install a launcher from playstore! and its working well!
i hoppe the dev will release a new working version!

III. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Rooting tool from Chainfire (not necessary because by flashing the Rom you will be automatically rooted even if you weren't before)
EFS/IMEI Backup Tool by Dr.Ketan
1. USE CUSTOM RECOVERY (LINKS TO BOTH CWM and TWRP)
Note: As you know flashing any custom Rom will void your warranty and raise your knox warranty counter to 0x1
2. Make Sure that in Settings/General/Security the option "REACTIVATION LOCK" is unticked!!!
3. Make a FULL NANDROID BACKUP!!! (That includes Backing up your EFS)
4. DOWNLOAD Echoe Rom from one of the links above. Put either into internal or external SD Card.
5. In Recovery, Wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, and Wipe data/factory reset and then Install Zip (from either external or internal SD depending on where you chose to save the Rom)
6. The installation process takes between 3-5 minutes. Let it do its job Also the 1st boot also takes 3-5 minutes. I would also recommend that before the initial setup, you dont do anything to your phone for 5 minutes... Let it settle and then proceed with the initial setup... That's just my usual ritual with any Rom I flash
7. Reboot and Enjoy Note: If in Recovery it ever asks you to "Fix Root" PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PRESS NO!!!
