With all due respect to all Senior members, i just had my kk1 rooted Samsung Galaxy Note.. Updated to LA1(stock roms).. In order to Root LA1 Kernel to Rocket Rom.. Where and how do i start.. ??
Just download rocketrom v22(latest)..if u have rooted your phone,u should have cwm.. enter the cmw recovery mode, make a full wipe, and flash the rocketrom zip file..
Before flashing any Rom,it is better for you to make a nandroid backup and also titanium backup..of anything goes wrong,u can restore it back and get to the previous state of your phone..
Fyi,there are also optional installment after flashing rocketrom..make sure u read the rr thread..
RR v22 is really awesome!!!

Please before flashing any Custom ROM read entire post Carefully.
You already flashed Custom ROM Using Odin. So what your binary counter is raised. (To check Reboot in Download mode and See Custom Binary Count=?)
It doesn't harm your device. but you wont get warranty anymore. you regain your warranty you should remove Yellow triangle (!) please follow this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1354888
Please anymore do not use PC Odin only for Stock ROM. For Flashing Custom ROM use CWM Recovery.

Odin can be used only for Flashing Stock ROM. Flashing Stock ROM using PC Odin wont raise Binary Counter. You have to Flash Custom ROMs using CWM Recovery or Mobile Odin.
Yellow Triangle wont harm your device. you wont get warranty that's it.
If you want regain the warranty you should remove yellow triangle from device. that means you should use JIG. JIG can be used for 2 problems. 1 is for who cant get in to download mode and second is to remove Yellow Triangle.

Hi,
I have already flashed this rom
Recording both side conversation using Blut tooth hands free is required. This rom does not do it. How do I record both side conversation using blue tooth.
Will "rocket ROM 19 + faby71 call rec mod + total recall recorder (common version) " work as stated in some other post?
Where can I download "faby71 call rec mod"?
Does it work with ROCKET-v22 -LA6-eybee1970 using blue tooth head phone with any call recorder?
The another BIG issue I get with ROCKET-v22-LA6-eybee1970 is
1) HIGH BATTERY DRAIN &
2) Mobile data network getting switch on automatically without permission even when it is switched off manually.
Please help. [email protected]

Hi guys, I am a bit 'desperate, I unfortunately the other day I installed it in my notes a kernel that unfortunately has damaged my recovery mode, the phone no longer gave me the opportunity even to restore a backup, of course it will odin mobile rom manager worked, so only solution I had to flash a kernel on odin with the pc and I solved the problem but I did take the counter with its yellow triangle. So I took and followed to perfection (well I had the stopwatch) driving with the jig and odin, but besides not work gave me because I was nail-biting with a black screen for over an hour. I have a couple of questions / concerns: - I read that flashando odin with a PC in the stock kernel (currently I xxlb1, I can use these kernel firmware?)'ll Remove ignition the yellow triangle but nn I reset the counter, right? In addition, subsequent flashes with Cwm, Roma manager and mobile odin increase or leave unchanged the counter? -But if flasho with odin old pc n firmware, for example KKA with the pit and the three files that happen? I apologize in advance if this question of hours and already been addressed, and if my posts are messy but really are desperate ... Thank you and good weekend to all
Flash counter remains untouched when you flash ne stock rom whether single /multi files.
If u use mobile odin / cwm still it remain unchanged.
You can flash kernel without problem with mobile Odin.
Rom manager mot supports note.
Just remember, you have not to flash any custom rom/kernel with pc odin

Advice
Thanks for your answer,
So what is your advice? I don t want to see yellow triangle, so to erase that I can flash by odin mobile or Cwm a stock kernel???
Now in my phone I have xxlb1, do you know where I can find the right kernel stock?
Please help me thanks a lot
Here's what I would do. Install a new rooted ICS rom, use triangleaway to reset binary counter
I'm pretty sure triangle away only works with ICS. Can anyone confirm? Want to make sure I'm giving correct info.
Afterwards you can then PC Odin back to a stock rom.
Hope this helps

Please read this first:
I was able to reset the binary counter and remove the yellow triangle by using the method described in #13 of this thread, but you should understand that my phone was already soft-bricked. As you will know from reading posts #18 and #21, that the Angelom kernel 1.2 should be used to reset your binary counter and remove the yellow triangle, ONLY WHEN your device is ALREADY bricked, otherwise you may brick your working device. Be cautioned.
Original post:
I have been struggling for two days now with an issue of some kind of brick. Without going into whether it is a soft brick or a hard brick, this is how my situation is:
- I can boot into download mode
- I can boot into stock recovery mode
- I am unable to flash any ROM as all of them get stuck at factoryfs
- I flashed several kernels, stock as well as custom, and the latest kernel I flashed was a CF kernel
- After flashing the CF kernel, I saw the yellow triangle at the Samsung boot prompt and the flash counter increased by 1
- I flashed a stock kernel over the CF kernel which made the yellow triangle go away, but I still have the flash count increased
I do not wish to go for any trial and error methods now, so I am thinking of sending my Note to Samsung for repairs. Can someone help me with resetting the flash counter to 0? I do not wish to sound impatient, but I really do not have much time to wait for the JIG solution, so if someone can help with resetting the flash counter without using JIG, it would greatly help.
I have insurance on my phone and I bought the phone a week ago. Please also let me know if I can use my insurance if Samsung decides to charge me. Ideally, I would like a replacement, as it is a confirmed bug from Google that caused my phone to be bricked, and also since I have had the phone only for a week, but I don't know how to convince the seller I need a new phone, as they will try to get it fixed and return the same back.
Is there anything else other than the flash counter that I should wipe/reset before sending it to Samsung? I took a Nandroid backup of a stock odexed GB ROM last week which is under a folder called "CWM". Is the CWM folder in the internal storage (USB storage) or the external SD card? If it is in internal, how do I wipe it? My phone doesn't have any battery so I can't check the location of CWM folder myself.
Thanks.
If you can still enter download mode, there is hope to flash a stock rom.You need the pit file, matching your device version(16 or 32 gb). Also a bootloader wouldn't hurt to have around.
I got 3 errors when i first tried to flash my note, but i solved it with the pit file.Just google for it.

Thanks, I know about it, but I do not have the time to buy the JIG, wait for it and try it out on my device, if that's what you refer to. I am in a time crunch as my 15 days of purchase of this phone will be complete next week, and beyond that I wouldn't get any special privileges from the seller. This is why, I am looking for a method that involves flashing using Odin or stock CWM. It's a long shot, but I am hoping someone can help.
Jig is the only way for you to reset the counter on a bricked phone, sorry.
Wasnt there a kernel that Angelom did to reset the flash counter on his superbricks with Team Rocket ICS?
Maybe dig up the old thread in the dev section and check. It was a quick and dirty to reset counter and make it official again.

Thanks hkgrob, Chasmodo and kimitza. I appreciate it.
So do I need to just flash the 16 GB (I have 16 GB Note) PIT file using Odin and that should reset the flash counter? Just want to make sure I am doing it right.
Edit: I just flashed the 16 GB PIT file using 1.85 PC Odin along with a stock kernel, but the counter has not reset. Also, there is no kernel file, that hkgrob mentioned, in the zipped attachment.
I am not able to find the kernel through search. Could someone upload the kernel which would reset the counter? I will try again after that. Thanks.

No, flashing pit file will not reset your counter. Angelom 1.2 kernel will, but as I said

Yes, that's what I figured. I found a link to this kernel in this thread and downloaded it, but it's an ICS kernel, which is also supposed to reset the counter. Is this the one you talk about? And, if it is the right kernel, I guess I should flash it with the PIT file with PC Odin. Correct?
I am on stock GB recovery - for your information.
If anyone else can post the kernel before Chasmodo does, that would be great. Thanks.
A little diversion: For some reason the stock recovery shows there are no files on my SD card, while other recoveries do. Is this supposed to be this way? With stock recovery, I am unable to access anything on my SD card.
I will post this as a separate thread, as it does not fit as an edit in my previous post.
I found this thread, and got encouraged to flash the ICS kernel which the OP in that thread also found. Flashing the ICSTest kernel by Angelom rebooted with a yellow triangle at the Samsung prompt and booted into touch CWM. I rebooted the phone using the reboot option on CWM. With the reboot, the triangle is gone and the binary counter says "No." So, I think mission accomplished for now.
Will there be a way Samsung to tell now if I ever flashed custom recoveries, ROMs and kernels or that phone was rooted before the Google-admitted bug screwed everything up?

Just flash a stock kernel now, and they probably won't be able to tell that you ever used any custom stuff.
No need to removed the counter & triangle, just send it back to SSC, they will fix it for you, because they already know the reason you send it back, cheer up!

No. Angelom 1.2 will reset your counter, but it will also give you a hard brick in

Is that true that flashing the Angelom 1.2 will hard brick a phone if it's not already bricked? Is that kernel not useful for any ROMs? I am curious because if that's true, I will change the title of my thread.
hello everyone
my friend bricked his note and i don't know what to do for him, my friend has no exper experience, he did a restore on a nonsafe kernel
his phone is semi bricked (if not fully bricked), i tried using odin to flash a stock rom (gb then ics) but had no luck and proccess stops at "NAND write start", i tried only to flash a kernel which was abyssnote but also got stuck on "NAND write start" and i tried to use the pit file from this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667886) with a stock rom and with re-partition checked on odin and now it is stuck on:
<ID:0/005> Set PIT file..
<ID:0/005> DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!
please help me as the phone has been stuck on this state (pit file way) for over 80 minutes
waiting for your answer...
i unpluged my phone now and i am trying a custom pit file (N7000_16GB_Q1_20110914--patched--brick-between-281-and-3770-MB--FACTORYFS-moved-by-3328-MiB.pit) after leaving my phone for up to 2 hours and with no progress using N7000_16GB_Q1_20110914-stock.pit
file, hope i can revive my friend phone and please try to point me for any solution i can try.
Check your connection. Usually if bricked the process will start ok but halt at factory.fs. Try with a different usb cable, make sure it's in a mobo usb port not front one.
Pit files should be a last resort. I don't think it's bricked personally. Does it power on at all?

What is the outcome of flashing the "N7000_16GB_Q1_20110914--patched--brick-between-281-and-3770-MB--FACTORYFS-moved-by-3328-MiB.pit" as you mentioned above?
If you can also get into recovery, then better try to use hg42 partition scanner first, to see if and where the damage is in the emmc.

If that long, then that pit doesn't seem to work.
I would try to flash a custom kernel such as hydracore or some other kernel that are available in .tar format. Then see if it help the phone get into recovery.
If that does not work, then just need to try other pit file from hg42 thread which move factoryfs by bigger number until it work. This is not a good strategy but it seems to be the only way.

I would try the first way of flash a kernel since it does not take much time.
Anyway, if want to try second strategy should move up by 500 mb or 1 gb each time.
I saw some people reported problem after flashing a pit with big number them move back to flash a pit with small number so should try to avoid that situattion.
The next pit I would choose it the one move fatoryfs by 4608mib for example.

thank you for your replies, i will try to try them as you mentioned above and by the way and will wait 15-20 minutes in each operation, i already tried the last version of hydracore but had no success, one last thing, if none of them worked (hope not), is there any other possible way to revive from the brick(other than replacing the motherboard or replacing the phone from samsung)?
bricked or not
same problem here, was on stock ics rooted for quite sometime, today decided to flash alliance rom v2.1, booted to cwm recovery, did a full wipe and after that i just hated myself. phone didnt boot into recovery and odin gets stucked at factoryfs, tried to flash with pit file too but no result same stuck in problem. then i flashed different kernel fm note kernel through odin which was a success, got my recovery back but unfortunately the only rom i have on internal sd was alliance rom which doesnt install, either says emmc error alliance rom or stucks at extracting system. so again flashed abyss kernel and did a full wipe again but odin still does not go beyond factory fs and i am trying to flash ics rom again. any idea what i should do now as i can flash a kernel and go into recovery. help will be appreciated. meanwhile downloading gb rom to check as i read in other posts it works tough not sure.

it is good as far as you can access cwm recovery, try to get any external sd, download a rom and put it on the external sd using other phone
and flash it using cwm and dont forget your safe kernel , and can you tell me please what kernel you've used?

Once get recovery it is best to try to scan partition to identify where the damage is. You can you adb method in my manual repartition guide or the scanner from hg42 which is even better.

thank you for your replies, i will try to try them as you mentioned above and by the way and will wait 15-20 minutes in each operation, i already tried the last version of hydracore but had no success, one last thing, if none of them worked (hope not), is there any other possible way to revive from the brick(other than replacing the motherboard or replacing the phone from samsung)?

Should try the kernel I sent and also the fm kernel suggested in the post above. Once having recovery it is much easier and there are more options. Otherwise, custom pit is the last resort before mobo replacement.

Hi there, sounds like a bad flash or bad download. Firstly remove your external micro SD card and connect it to a PC / Laptop (standard SD adaptor or Card Reader). Download a "default" ROM and kernel and KEEP them on the card (you never know when you need to go back to them). I use Abyss 4.2 kernel and Chrack ROM personally. I always have the jBroid Kernel Cleaner saved also). Replace the micro SD card.
If you can get into Recovery, flash the jBroid script cleaner. Now flash Abyss 4.2 kernel (GB safe kernel) and reboot into Recovery again. Now flash Chrack Rom. I've had a number of bad flashes and these 3 zips have always pulled me out a hole.
Hope this helps. Hit Thanks if it did.

i've already mentioned that it has no recovery mode, and yes, i always have abyssnote kernel in my ex-sd also in my friend's phone, the thing is that he don't know about the emmc bug and he did a restore on a none safe kernel and thats how he bricked his phone
what i've done so far is trying the pit file way but had no luck, now the thing is that the binary counter is 5 and i can't go to have a m/b replacement for free as the warranty is voided, is there any way to reset the counter or to hardbrick the phone except for the jig method?
Please help,
I was trying to root my Samsung galaxy note gt-i9220, I followed the video instructions from rootgalaxynote.com, I used the CWM.Zip, CWM-supers-v0.87.zip and after I installed the franco kernel-r5.zip
PROBLEM: after installing the franco kernel when I restarted the system my note comes on and shows Galaxy Note GT-I9220 and after that I have a black screen.
What can I do to get back the original state, it seems I can not handle rooting it. However it can get to the download mode when I place the volume up+power+home burton.
NB: I did not use a computer while doing this neither did I backup any thing
What rom where you on before installing the new kernel?

As far as i remember there is no franco kernel for jb 4.1.2. That's why your phone cannot boot.
The worst is flash back a stock rom unless you remember your firmware version then you can flash philz kernel
Philz kernel/stock rom

try flashing any of the JB version of Philz kernel like DDLSC using recovery of franco kernel. You should be able to get into CWM recovery,
power failure

I guess ma problems are too many, after downloading philz kernel and transferring it to an external memory card, I cannot get into the recovery mode which I were able to get to 2 days back.
I did not do anything else from the day I was trying to root and things back fired, I thought the battery had been used up but even after charging I get nothing apart from the phone being warm, when I insert the charger all I see is a battery with a circle that flashes and disappears, flashes and disappears.
Any ideas or this marks the end of this gadget
Download mode? If yes then you can flash a rom using Odin or flash Philz kernel also using Odin.. If no.., you may need to try a charged battery.

I guess I have to look for a charged battery, odin cannot read the phone, however I would like to know when I unzip philz kernel folder, there are other files and I understand odin(never used it before) has options like partition, auto reboot, F.time, Boot loader,PDA, phone, csc
I need to know which ones should I select, and if am using PDA which file from extracted philz kernel do I select.

For flashing Philz kernel using odin you need to use .tar file instead of .zip file. Also no need to extract anything from .tar file. Leave everything in odin as it is and put the .tar file in PDA section, if at all odin can detect your phone. remember, this needs to be performed in download mode.
I made it

Thanx so much man, thanks a bunch, I can say the phone is up and running, however, everything is in Chinese, I do not Chinese, I cannot tell what the words mean, but all I know the philz kernel procedure using odin has worked.
now I need help to change the language, did I download the wrong kernel,
this is what I used: PhilZ-cwm6-DDLSC-ODD-4.93.6.tar,md5
Another problem I have observed, when you switch on the device it brings a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle

Do you mean everything is in chinese in recovery or it boots up to home screen and there everything is chinese? You can leave the yellow triangle alone, first get it working once it does you can use triangle away app from xda or play store to remove it.

I think the Chinese version didn't have playstore and all. You may need to flash a rom of n7000 to get all the access..
