Good CPU app?

Any good apps with profiles and multi core support? Preferably free
Sent from my LG-P880 using Tapatalk 2
I have used Νο frills cpu and antutu cpu master (not free) which supports profiles and its quite good its behaviour. If you're concerned about battery efficiency , i didnt notice any improvement with any of the apps i have used.
Hmm after looking at the frequency states of my cpu I have concluded that there's not much need for any CPU tweaks, just have to wait for jellybean or a miraculous breakthrough that makes custonexus fully functional

Written elsewhere, people say that even the lg launcher consumes battery compared to other launchers.Try testing some.

Best JB Rom for games

What do you think that is the best JB Rom for 3d games like MC4, The Dark knight Rises ?
I dont think so...as they are very have games... you can try with overclocking...but that's not safe as well

Overclocking is completely safe. It's the overvolting bit that kills the chip.

If you overclock then you are using your processor more than its limit which also is dangerous.

[SOLVED] - [Q] CM 10.1 RC1 - disable cpu cores ?

is it possible that i enable only one core and disable all other cores of my cpu ? How???
I'm on CM 10.1 RC1 On v20a official - rooted - unlocked - with CWM recovery
You can do that by using an app called Tegra Overclock for example.

it doesn't have optimus 4x in the supported list
Our phone is supported, don't worry. We got Tegra 3 processor. I am using it daily to improve performance (mainly in games to overclock GPU and to REALLY force all 4 cores to work).
Here's a couple of screenshots that I just made to show you.

Benefit of disabling CPU cores?

Is there a way to limit the amount of cores that can be active on a custom kernel? I am using eprj kernel and am able to disable 2 cores using trickster mod but I really want to try optimus kernel but I can't find out how to disable the cores
Also is there a significant battery improvement if you disable 2 cores and run at 1ghz or is it better to enable all cores and run at 716 mhz?

I'm trying two cores in iodak at 1400 is really smooth but I can't tell anything about battery because I'm starting to try now, only thing I can tell you is that dual core at 1 is better than four cores at 716, why? Some apps runs great at 1 GHz and only use one core, so that app at 716 will work slow and laggy, there is not so much apps that works with all four cores enabled and that apps will work well in two cores enviroments

Thanks I can take a little bit of lag because I really want better battery life and am trying both 2 cores at 1ghz

Also how is iodak working for you? I read that someone couldn't get the max CPUs online value to stick on the latest version

iodaks is working great for me, the V07 version, and yes, i use tegra overclock app and it works great

Its also depend on your hardware.
1.most important is, cpu temp of your phone. Qualcomm s4 save temp range between 0 to 65c. Then it will start to downclock your cpu to 1.2ghz. If u keep playing then it will drop till 700mhz if ik not mistaken.
2. Gpu. Adreno 320 clock at 400mhz. Its also will be downclock to reduce your temp.
3.amount of RAM and total running apps.i know android managing their memory well but sometime this also cause system to lag and etc.
Try to download android tuner in playstore and monitor your hardware status.
Btw, galaxy s2 resolution way too low to compare with our z.so it need less power to rendering at same clock speed with our gpu. Mali400 clock at 400mhz.

Mali 400 in the s2 is clocked at like 266mhz plus i always do a restart before gaming i have set the cpu governor to performance but still lag :/ anw what do you think is the best rom for gaming ? And thx in advance
Sent from my C6603 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Change the governor is not a good solutions. Qualcomm s4 is as hot as its name. Mine always reach 65++ in celcius. Even I change the governor, it will revert back ti normal.

The adreno 320 is 3x as powerful as a mali400, and that on 1080p.
