Camera App Problem - Nook HD, HD+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I am botting CM10.1 from my SDcard on my Nook HD, and it is great so far!
But I have one problem with it; whenever I try to open the camera app, it force closes...
Any thoughts on how to fix this so I can use the camera app?

Install a camera on the device...because it definitely doesn't have one built in to allow the application access it.

[Q] Camera App Recommendations

I'm not very fond of the camera app on MIUI, looking for a third party one if available.
Any fan favourites out there?
Hmm, I was expecting more of a response to this one, can anybody suggest any camera apps, or could someone get me the apk of the default Samsung camera app?
Thanks

Try using
1. Paper camera
or
2. Camera 360 ultimate (recommended)
Thanks, I'll check them out!
Hmm, Paper Camera seemed to be a little cartoony for my liking (very effects based), and 360 wouldn't let me use my front-facing camera
Just looking for a simple camera that can store to my external SD, and preferably allow the power button to take photos

Camera Issues With 3rd Party Apps.

Anyone else having this problem.
The camera is great with the official HTC camera app. But if you use evernote the camera is blurry when trying to take a shot and wont focus. Get the same with airdriod (weirdly enough though the front facing camera doesn't suffer with the same problem ???)
Anyone have the same issue and a resolution.
Cheers

[BUG Report] Camera crashs in Video mode

Hi
I have an Xperia Z (yuga). There is the problem, if I switch to video mode in the stock camera app, the app crashes.
I switched to Omnirom today again. On January when I used Omnirom last, I had the same issue.
Only way to get the app working again, is to delete app data, so that the app starts in photo mode.
Does anyone knows a workarround except install another app like focal, until the bug is not fixed?
Thanks

This is a known bug in Omni ROM, if you search around a little bit you can find reports for it from before February....

What is a Working Camera+Camcorder App for Marshmallow?

Picked up a Moto X Play for family in Canada.
The Camera interface isn't the most intuitive, was hoping to use Google Camera but every app I seem to use seems to crash when switching from camera to camcorder mode, currently on the March security update for Marshmallow.
Does anyone else have this issue or can recommend a decent camera app as an alternative?
Try Open Camera or Manual Camera.
Yeah open camera is a nice one.The stock camera app is working normal on mine.Try to clean cache of the stock camera app.
Opencamera crashes.
Google Camera 2.7 is actually working, so the problem is with version 3.1 and later... Guess that's why they pulled it from the Play Store
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/camera/camera-2-7-008-release/
When switching from camera to video camcorder mode, it says 'Can't connect to camera' and crashes the app
Running version 5.1 and its working.Stock mm 6..0.1.
I should try a factory reset if i was you.

Sorry 5.1 of which application would you be referring to?
Google Camera only goes up to 3.2 and Open Camera 1.28.1

Sorry i was mistaken with motorola stock camera app. Maybe google camera is crashing because it cant find a gyroscope sensor which is needed for the 360 pictures.
Looking for a camera app as well; stock Motorola camera is too slow on launch in taking pictures or I itializing video. I've tried clearing data and cache. Google Camera works besides camcorder mode.
I used Open Camera. After installation, the first time I have it hung. Resetting and poked in the settings. In the "interface settings" disabled "show slope" and "show the direction of the compass." As long as such no longer hangs.

Change the camera to back facing now that TouchPad is running Android for apps

I have updated my TouchPad to Android 7.x.x and have an app that is looking for the camera but expects it to be back facing. Is there a way to make the TouchPad think the camera is back facing so that the app will work with the camera?

It's much more reasonable for you to ask the app developer to check for a front-facing camera and allow you to select which camera you want to use than to try to figure out how to make the TP do it without screwing up every other app that uses the camera.
