Hey there is no need to double post. You should ask the dev about it or read the changelogs and features of both roms.
Thread closed, there is no best ROM, only what works best for you.

So I have seen in my cell a few friends, GN2 and S3, the Omega ROM and it really is very good, but anyway ...
wanted to know if the developer could not bear this ROM to our N7000
It's a great need, we have several good ROMs but sin in many battery
Anyway, if you can be a great pleasure and be a success!
Hug!
+1
Why not asking the original dev?
Omega is also just based on note 2 and s3 stock roms with some mods and tweaks...so what you wanna get ported?
You can port it, but it'd be a lot easier to port whatever features you want to an XXLSC ROM.

Hi There,
newbie in forum...
So...can I install the newest omega rom to my galaxy Note?
Thanks a lot!
AW: Omega rom for n7000, possible port?
No.
Choose a Rom from the two possible forums here in the Note World.

Ok...But...Why?
The Hardware platform is the same with note 2, except the CPU (same model, quad-core capability) and the micro-sd capacity.
I agree that there could be some minor differences in the platform in order to support quad-core capability, but this should not held us back.
Just like Windows...they work with all kinds of prosessors. You just need different motherboard.
And -in this case- the motherboard is present. :good:

You are using the wrong word: "us".
If you are interested to try a Custom Rom that wasn't made for the N7000, try it.
But I repeat what eybee said before: Omega is a modded/tweaked stock Rom. Nothing special. So search for a good Custom Rom here where you can be sure that it works on a N7000.

I don't think that a rom that has so much positive 5-star ratings throughout the whole community is something typical.
"Nothing special" is your opinion only.
Let me remind you that N7000 has an ICS rom on board, by default.
So, if you think more closely you will see that even a "stock" JB rom (only the best one admittedly) is much better than its stock rom.
I've been using different JB roms on my N7000, and personally I've seen nothing better than Omega, on N7100.
Of Course I will try it! I'm sure it will work like a charm!

The original note is actually more similar to the I9100 than the note 2, I would suggest that you wait for omega rom for the galaxy s2 to stabilize (it's already pretty stable, only messaging is problematic) and then request for a port from indie themselves

Well, Ok.
I tried Omega Rom and it does not work. So, I'm reverting back to my old rom.
You only make breakthrough, when you risk...
Thanks to all who responded! But not wanting to antagonize already used the OMEGA ROM and it is not only not tweaks. Have you looked at the build.prop and init.d and it has nothing much different, it's a "miracle" that the dev does kkkkkkk
But ok!

First of all: here's a link for all custom ROMs for Galaxy Note - N7000.
Read and choose whatever you want.
Second: it's very important to read this thread to know how to root your device safely ... read it many times till you are sure of what you're going to do.
Third: I want to recommend two ROMs.
Sweet ROM based on Samsung stock firmware with few tweeks.
CyanogenMod: which is based on stock android. Both are stable and with good battery life.
Very Important Advice
SEARCH & READ ... SEARCH & READ
Flashing a custom ROM takes literally minutes to do it but a simple mistake may require hours to solve it
... and you may brick your device.

Never ask for a best ROM.
Check out http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note/development and decide which one fits your needs, if you want a note 3 UI then look at the 4.1.2 ROMs
Fastest and very smooth rom with much ram free was "codename lungo" (it's ics).

Hi,
For me Resurrection remix 5.0.9 is a stable and beautiful kit kat rom. I use it since 2 month and i had only 1 FC. No issues with this rom and developper is serious and make a good job.
I used also CM 11. It's certainly the most up to date and securised rom, but i had some issues with it 2 month ago. I think now there is no issue with this ROM.
So i recommend both :good:
As suggested by someone already, CM11 is the best if you want security and stability. You could also try C-Rom by aways as the rom is considered to be very popular among i9000 users.
Please refer to my thread as well and use it to help decide what suits you best

What's the best Oreo custom rom for Exynos? Pls. state its unique features, and reasons why it's the best rom for you. Thank you.

There is no such thing as best rom. Read the thread, try the rom, decide for yourself.
Yes, what Dejan Sathanas said. It's about what you're looking for, personally. What is good for me and works for me won't necessarily be good and work for you.
Ok but can you please recommend any stable rom for the N8 so far? TIA
Inside the thread where the roms are posted, you can read about the experiences and opinions about the rom, just READ
