Also, I think a whole screen version, a bit like the new lava labs home could be really nice-
A base for all messaging.
I would try to keep the skin colours to a minimum, and use coulours as UI elements to differentiate sms, mail etc etc

A whole screen widget would be amazing! Hero style would be awsome, becuase it just looks fantastic...

sorry i do not have the apk/widget, it is just an example i was using. go search beautiful widgets for more info on the sms hero style widget currently on market.

whats is the lava labs u mentioned? and also, i have always wanted to see some kind of full screen browser widget. i know it might sound stupid but i would just like to be able to swipe to new screen and be able to pick up where i left off, just an idea...
also what version of beautiful widgets is that that has hero style sms widget?

To be honest, I'm getting bored with the icons for refresh and settings. They're rather bland, and it's becoming an annoyance to see them repeated in every widget.
In one widget they're unique. In two they're distinct. In more than that, they become a style, and I feel doesn't really fit this type of widget.
I think this design would give a better style to fit the widget:

I do not agree to copy everything.
This is ok for a first shot, but not for a final design.
Buttons are here because a NEED them.
If you have a better design, propose ! But, I repeat, I won't copy evrything from existing widgets.

Koxx, this is providing a service to G1 users have been asking for ever since we were given the gift of Hero. unfortunately little kings in the ROM drove us back to CM or Xrom. But you my friend have given us G1 users something to cheer about once again. I love your pure calendar and now this, WOW i cant wait as im a HUGE widget junky and thank you for your devoted work. By the way love that fact that you will NOT be copying Hero and staying unique. I will definitely keep on eye on this.

i wouldnt use this widget, i dont like having all my messages displayed there right on the home screen, but i like the idea of it though haha. i just wouldnt use it. here is a design i just made that incorporates all the elements found in the previous designs. simliar but still different!

Is there anyway you can make the widget 3x4 or 4x4 ? 2x4 is getting told and kind of too small.

Hmmn...installing an unknown Chinese widget from a non-Market source doesn't seem like a super idea to me...Check the permissions closely. Better yet, try Fancy Widget.

I'm testing this now, it looks cool.

From the way it looks, it *LOOKS* like in addition to a widget, it is also a desktop replacement.

There is an app in the market that does contain the clock / widget basically like that but in English.
When I took my phone to T-Mobile the customer guy even asked how did I get the HTC clock there.
It's named Weather & Toggle Widget. I didn't mind paying $.99 to have a nice clock / weather whatsoever.

Weather Widgets (com.androidapps.widget.weather2) with the proper skins make for an identical Sense weather/flip-clock.. on the surface anyway. And it's a paid app now. $2.

How's that working for you? I tried it and it looks good, but the clock would freeze and stop updating (no, I was not killing the task). For now I'm using Beautiful Widgets which works great, but I'd like the HTC look that Fancy has.

4. In Desktop Visualizer, select the 1x2 icon you would like to use, then link that icon to the application using the app, clear the text, and launch the widget.
5. Do the same process as many times as necessary until you have filled up as many homescreens as you'd like to use.
6. To change the dock, click Menu>Preferences>Dock Settings and check Customized Background, then click Select Dock Background.
7. Find the dock included in the zip file and select it.
8. Now go back to your homescreens and by long pressing on dock items, get rid of them all except for the app launcher. Long-press the app launcher icon and click Choose Icon, then choose the transparent.png file that is included.
9. Now that your dock is done, for the widgets on top, use Minimalist Text and tweak the app to your liking.
10. The last thing you need to do is change your background to the HTC black wallpaper, and ta-da, you are all done. Easy, huh?
Included in this zip are templates, 1x2 and 3x1 icons, the dock, and the transparent PNGs as well as a document detailing the colors & fonts used. All files are PNGs.

Wow, just Wow!
It hit me a few days ago, that I really like the design of Meego/Harmattan. I couldn't find any good quality icon packs back then.
I found the icon design guidelines from Nokia, and I photoshopped out the default ones from the pdf.
Plus I began to make a few icons for myself, based on the guide.
And Bam! Now here is your excellent quality icon set, that renders my work effectively unnecessary.
Don't get me wrong, I really really like your icons
As I said, I made some icons for myself, I hope you don't mind if I post them here. At least the not-redundant ones. Their size is 80x80 pixels, except for the android market icon, which is based on a default Nokia icon.

New Ice Cream Sandwich Plus Theme - GO Launcher EX
Here is my ICS theme, I tried to be as faithful as posible to ICS, even the color pallete and icons. And used over 200 84x84 size icons because I like to use the "large icon" option in GOLauncher settings and with normal 72x72 icons they look blury if you enlarge them.

"Invisible Lockscreen for GO Locker"
Invisible lock screen theme for GO Locker.
This unique GO Locker theme mimmics the homescreen and hides any visual clue that its a lockscreen, including the unlock button and slider, only you will know were the unlocking button and slider is and that its a lockscreen and not a homescreen. IT IS NOT SEE THROUGH, YOUR REAL HOMESCREEN AND ITS CONTENTS REMAIN HIDDEN FROM VIEW.
Because it's not simply transparent and has a custom false homescreen background, your actual homescreen and it's info still remains private to the eye and you still have the functions of the lockscreen such as time, date, missed calls and missed SMS notifications.
If anybody turns on your phone, he will see a regular homescreen but will not know why the screen will not react to the touch. He will not realise it's actually a lockscreen because it looks like a homescreen, and he won't unlock it either because the slider is invisible.
You can even use a screencapture of your own homescreen and set it as the GO Lockers background picture in the GO Locker settings. If you use your own homescreen capture as the background, and you are not using the 4x2 Weather/Clock widget in your homescreen, it is recommended that you disable the "Show Date and Time" feature on the GO LOcker settings.
