Is it just me or is bluetooth not working in vipervivo 1.3? It seemed to be working great on 1.2.1.
I'm running on beastmode too, so could this be a kernel related issue?

It should be the same, I don't think nitsuj touched blouetooth files. Were you using the same kernel on 1.2.1?
I was using the same set-up (venomBeast) and that was what i thought initially, but...
i see you are also using a venombeast 1.3, is bluetooth working fine for you?

Have Same problem Bluetooth shows its on , but cant find bluetooth handsfree ,( even if its right beside the phone and set to visible to others)
Yay , did as M4ttz said and re-installed and made sure clean install , now everything works perfect!!
The only thing that doesn't work for me is personal hot spot. Just try reinstalling the ROM.

I have the rom running with beastmode and almost everything is working flawless with the exception of native hotspot. But currently using wifi-tether app by treve mod and is working great.

If you need it, try a sense 3.6 ROM

I tried this one a few hours ago, it doesn't work. I am running Andromeda 3, I plan to jump back to 2.3.3 though to test it out.

+1 the app in this link worked for me too.
Anyone had it working on a froyo custom rom? like cognition 4.1?
Okay so the apk from the second post link works. It downloads the upgrade and installs the working one. I personally have never gotten it to work on froyo using cognition but other roms might work. Including stock froyo

The apk in the link worked for me. I downloaded/ installed the new version and I'm finally running netflix on my phone!
.apk installation went fine but i keep getting 'failed to update' when it goes to download the new version. Took about 5 retries to work.

I am using a MIUI rom called Freshly Squeezed or something like that. Very good ROM exept for the fact that I can't install a lot of apps. Is GTA any fun btw? The controlls and so on?
working fine on arhd ,make sure you have plenty of space on sd card when downloading the data and not just exact space as its causes issues and may need to overclock a little also and its v1.0 that works as thats what i have

To be honest it is a great experience For me playing it on DHD is easier compared to pc controlls

GTA III on DHD
Hi I've got DHD running ARHD v6.31, tried GTA v1.1 downloaded dataover Wi Fi and it kept freezing with a battery pull being only solution but then installed v1.0 over the top of it and now it works fine and is great game. Attached below is a file I found in another forum which improves the graphics settings. copy it to : sdcard/Android/data/com.rockstar.gta/files/GTA

I usually run Blackice but I've tried MIUI Freshly Squeezed & ARHD. Had no luck on any of them. Going to try RCMix & Virtious now though.

i went the android market the browser and it shows that its not available for our phones but is available for the sapphire/dream lol
I just installed the official CM 7.1 on my x8 and everything on it is brilliant except my wifi isn't working. After some reading I realised that this is a common problem but I'm wondering is there any fix for it yet?

I think you should use another custom rom which based on cm7.2. That's gonna be better.

It seems like we can install it and make it work on our device. I tried it and the only problem is that there's no network. It's probably because the ROM is for a CDMA device.

I installed it yesterday and haven't had any problem so far. It installs without problem, just take some time to boot but then, when you follow the step for it to work on gsm, everything works fine
Wifi, camera (with or without flashlight), camcoder, bluetooth, backlight (+rotation) work fine. I will still try wifi hot spot and some other little things

never figured UKB would work on vivo w/o significant changes, but i guess the init is close enough between vivo and vivow on the 3.0.16 kernel it does

This is taken from cars1198 cm10.1 rom. ALL CREDITS TO HIM all i did was extract it out for others to use on other 4.2.2 based roms.
CLARIFICATION UPDATE:
PMEM BASED ROMS wifi and camcoder breaks. Everything else should work including newer maps and better 3d performance.
ONLY ROMS THAT ARE ION BASED ARE IN MASS CM BY CARS1198
AND JFBS CM11

Very nice! I'm not sure what I did, but the camcorder apparently now works on my CM 10.1 install. The first recording played back garbled, but now it records perfectly. Maps should now work great on 4.2 roms.

it does i just test it. ill see if camcorder works in aoip. did noticed that wifi is broke in aoip but i dirty flashed. will test clean install later tonite. working on cm11 fix now.

Wifi worked on CM 10.1, so a clean flash may solve your problem. Good luck on the fix

I am psyched to try it with Slimbean. To flash a new kernel, do I need to wipe anything first, or is a dirty flash sufficient? I will make a nandroid first, just to make sure everything is copacetic. Exactly what does ION/PMEM give us that we did not have? Besides finally being able to upgrade to the latest build of Maps?

some 3d games i got to try work better. dirty flash should be fine. report any errors you find with slimbeam so i can add it to notes

Well, I just installed it and it seems fine. The phone is definitely faster. I will try to upgrade maps. Skype I'm leaving with the old version for other reasons.
It's like a new phone.... So smooth and fast. Wow! Still restarts if I try to start USB download mode, but I suspect I would have to reload the rom to fix that and it's not a big enough problem. It's too bad I lost my little startup screen android, but such is life.
Oops. Wi-Fi is no good. I will see if I hit the 4g ceiling. I suspect I will. Last time I went without Wi-Fi I hit the ceiling in a week. I don't want to wipe anything before I install, as this is my work phone.

using 10.1cm cars1198 cm mass op works perfectly camcorder, wifi, and all which is where i took this kernel from.

Annoying I can't get wifi to work. I guess Slimroms took out a key component when they made the rom "slimmer."

Most definitely not that is ur dev n kernels problem

Maybe slims kernel has issues or maybe a bad flash. Try reflashing or another gapps. People are having problems with kernels/gapps on the jfbs rom.

its old you are much better off getting the cm10.1 rom from cars1198 cm mass op. all 3 versions are on there 10.1, 10.2 and 11
