Hey guys I've been taking a look at the Asus Transformer Prime and its keyboard dock.
Does anyone know if there is or is going to be a keyboard DOCK, not just Bluetooth. But actually uses the 4-pin POGO port on the bottom left hand side to both use it as a USB keyboard and a charging station.
I would pay a lot for this.
Thanks guys!

This is similar to what you're describing but I'm afraid it is bluetooth though - link

Has anyone picked one up yet? Are you waiting for the official one to be released? Thoughts..
By the way, the Nexus 7 has been great for me so far.:good:
Are there docks available now? Can't find any on amazon or ebay

I'm waiting for one making use of the 4 pins on the side of the tables so you just put it down, no need to plug microusb in or anything.

The N7's charging slot is flipped around so be careful when purchasing docks that aren't made specifically for the N7.

If anyone gets this dock, let us know if you are able to flip the usb connection around. Also sound quality.
Edit: From the looks of the manual, the usb cord can be moved. This looks like an option. I too would like to see one that makes use of the pogo pins. Soon maybe.

Actually, it looks like it has 3 USB ports, not 2, which seems great, definitely the best accessory for a Note 2 user, can't wait to see someone review it.
where did you buy the smart dock

A typo, duh.
This dock looks amazing. One question I have is whether the USB/hdmi ports will work without the dock being plugged in to a wall/computer.
Which model of GN2, and how did you get it and the dock for so little?
THanks!

I work for walmart so I get a 25% discount on accessories from verizon, I just got the 16gb version so I saved 25$ because of my discount
I wonder if the HDMI out will work without having to connect it to a power source.

This looks amazing. I had to order one. I wonder if the HDMI out allows you to display the entire screen like the droid bionic would.
I really want to be able to browse the internet and type documents on a tv with a wireless mouse and keyboard.
Does this have a spot for an extra battery to charge in the back there?

Wanted this one, but too expensive.

Here's a more non-mobile site: http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/EDD-S20JWEGSTA
I registered my device on Samsung website and they emailed me a code for 50% off on accessaries. The dock is currently on back order. I'll be getting this for sure.
Hi Guys,
Could anyone suggest a good external keyboard for Nexus 10 ? Something similar to a dock keyboard of TF700 (asus infinity) for example.
How similar are you expecting?
Anyway, I'm using:
http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Wire...5&sr=8-4&keywords=motorola+bluetooth+keyboard
I enjoy using it more than when I had the TF101's dock.
www.nexus10keyboards.com has about every keyboard out there. Most are universal but they got some made specially for the Nexus 10.
If its not a real dockable keyboard that can be used on my lap I'm not interested

There are none yet. I'm looking for a fixed angle lap typable case myself

Looks good, I guess that's what I am after.
It would be good if it had a dock option to fix the tablet straight, but I understand there are none of such devices on the market yet.
I'm considering this as it has a stand. I hear it works with android tablets just fine.

OTG Cable finally came in the mail, works well! Thanks guys for the recommendation.
Was wondering what is a good keyboard. I need a mini to fit in my bag,
one probably without a Num Pad since I won't be using it as much.
I am currently looking at the
Elephant Mini Keyboard (KE006WH)
http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?item_id=042866
Does anyone know if this is a good keyboard? Sorry can't seem to find any reviews on this.
Or can someone recommend a decent mini keyboard? Mini being ~30cm. Must be wired
and my price point is $25
Something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-KeySonic-540U-Mini-USB-Keyboard-Touchpad-/310558936750#vi-content
Haven't got one myself but I am considering it.

Curious but would any keyboard work for Nexus 7 using the OTG Cable, assuming
the keyboards work without drivers.
Could someone please recommend a compatible bluetooth keyboard with the Note 2?

If only they did such accessories with a Dvorak layout, I might be interested! Then again, since dvorak is optimised to alternate the side of the keyboard you type on as much as possible, it's pretty much perfect for typing with 2 thumbs - I'm actually faster typing on my on screen keyboard and having swiftkey correct all the mistakes than I am on a physical keyboard!

I have almost the same thing. It works fine, but it's not exactly fast to type. The buttons are far too close together to type normally and a bit too far apart to be fast for thumbs-only. Particularly reaching the right-thumb over the touch pad is a drag. But it is still better than using the on-screen keyboard in a terminal emulator. Having all the F-keys, arrows, edit keys, and immediate access to shift and alt and ctrl keys instead of always waiting for long-presses or diving in to alt keyboards is a big deal.
Minor issues: no page up page down keys. I wish the "/" didn't require the Fn key as it's used a lot in linux comands.
Unexpected bonus, it actually comes with a usb bluetooth dongle stowed in back. So you can use it on say headless servers with everything you need right in your pocket.

Got the Motorola Keyboard in today.
Pluses
1. Feels solid (well built) .
2. Love the retractable touchpad.
3. Touchpad is a nice size.
4. Connects with absolutely no problem and works great!!:good:
I already think this is going to be the one to go with! I will post more on battery life after our techs use it for a couple of days
You will need to adjust the pointer speed its a little to slow on the default settings
