Hi all,
I have a N7000 (4.0.4, n7000XXLRK, IMM7D.XXLRQ German)
When people call me with video call everything works fine and we can see each other but when I call them I can't see them but they can see me.
Instead of their video stream I get the same image as attached.
thanks for any advice.
What are you using to video call?

Can we Skype on this thing ? Can't find the app in the market
I downloaded the apk and the app runs smooth. The only thing is no video chat. Voice calls work great though.

We basically want to be able to video chat with our grandkids. They have an ipod touch. CS representative told me today that Tango from the marketplace was an app for both the ipod and the Streak. Guess we will be using that.
Also, yahoo messenger has video chat capabilities. Maybe since I'm an old grandma I'm the only one who doesn't know this stuff, but I'm posting here in case it will help others.
I would ultimately love to have Skype with video and be able to use that at all times instead of having to use a different program for every video call we want to make.
The iphone has skype video. And from what i read android should have it soon as well.

So can the streak 7 use skype to make voice calls? That would fit the missing element if we have voip.
Hope video chat can be avaiable on android device soon.
I use yahoo messanger for video chat. Its just you cant use the front camera only back.

Hi there.
Do you know some applications for video conference using the front camera ?
Thanks a lot !
Edit :
- Fring
- ooVoo
Take picture of yourself. That's about it. Very useful, isn't it?
The latest ooVoo client works in portrait mode for tab-to-PC conferencing.

Tango. There's also an iPhone Tango app so you can video chat with the rest of the world.
I know people who work for Telus here in Canada and they were told skype video for Android will be out very soon and I believe it because they are advertising skype video on their nexus s which will be released Friday. That will make use of the front camera!

OP: Absolutely nothing. I suppose I could use it for Vid-conf, but who really does that? It's the most unwanted technology for the last 10 years.... even worse than MS Bob.
Oovoo, tested and approved.

10 years? More like 20. I remember seeing video-phones at shows when I was a young kid, there's a good reason they never caught on.
Oovoo works great on tab

Skype with video for Android looks like it's imminent. May finally find a use for the front facing camera. The only time I video chat is via skype so this could be a good move, though the video quality of the front-facing camera doesn't do the idea justice...
This is cool, any ETA from when SGT users will be available to get the new skype?

on my GT, Yahoo Messenger mmakes use of the back camera only. there's no option to swtich to the front camera.
ooVoo doesn't work as well. i can make calls but it doesn't show any video. the weird thing with ooVoo is that when i try to select my device, it says that the model that i have isn't supported. maybe because i'm using the Wifi version only?
Anyone figured out how to do cross-platform video chatting with the DS7? I know qik just updated their app so it works for us now, but I really want to be able to chat with my wife who only has a laptop. Wifi is fine.
Also, does google support video chat with the DS7?

Oovoo sucks for the streak it doesnt allow you to use the front facing cam...
Have u tried fring, not sure if it will work.

fring, qik, skype: nope.
oovoo: it's not video chat unless you can see the video while you're chatting.
anyone have any other ideas? I assume that this will be possible in honeycomb. Anyone have any idea how long that will take? Gah. Not impressed with this thing so far.
Hi guys,
Question: I know officially, video calling is not supported on Froyo (weird however that my son has a Samsung Galaxy SL that is running same Android version 2.2.1, but does support video calling...).
Is any of you using Tango on the IS? I tried it, both connected to the same WiFi, he can see me, I can see myself in the little screen, he can see himself in the little screen, but I cannot see him on my phone. Where is is supported to show up, I see black...
Anyone experience the same?
Thanks.
Im using... No problem at all

I've just started to use tango so I'm far from being an expert on this topic. I tried it in a recent business trip with my wife at home. I had the same and had to tell my wife to hit the video button on her iphone as I couldn't see her.
Ok, thanks all, I have found my specific issue, it seems that Tango has a known problem on the Samsung, so I will just have to wait until they fix it.
Hi guys I just installed Tango and did video call with fridends' iPhone and nexus s (both running Tango) but they both see my video up side down!!
I also tried video call between nexus s and iPhone, both video on their phones are all fine just my IS seems taking the up side down video with front facing camera.
This is really annoying!! I just wonder if any of you have the same problem?
By the way I just updated to gingerbread today and did not try Tango before on froyo. And when I used the new "mirror" app default in gingerbread I can see my front facing cam capturing the correct video. So this should be a Tango comparability issue with gingerbread??

I've used tango with my brother (he has an iphone4) with no problems. But I'm on froyo still. It could be a GB bug...

Hi h.han,
Was your issue solved?
When I try to make a video call I am getting the following error.
“Cannot support VT call, connect to voice call“
Both 3g and data are enabled and I have disabled wifi.
LG Optimus 2X
Stock 2.2.2
10c
Anyone has a solution for this.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think video call is only available in gingerbread. Btw you can use the new skype which has video phone option and you can call not skype users too.

Oh, I thought we needed gb to make google video call. I cannot make video calls through skype as the O2X has a tegra 2 processor and no one has been able to get a working skype apk for this.
