I like keypad tones when using the dialer, but I don't like tones that sounds like someone going for a dump...
Anyway to change that tone for something more standard??
Maybe you can try out some new dialer. Most of them have standard sounds. Just download from play store

Like the Samsung one, just wondered if it was possible to change the sound.
I guess it is possible. You'll have to find the files and replace them with the ones you like.

Is there anyway to get rid of the stupid Motorola Dialer and load any of the T-9 Dialing HTC Dialer's? I've seen and tried AtakePhone and DialerOne and don't really care for them.
You can't load any of the HTC dialer apps because they all tie into the Sense framework.

Just out of curiosity... what didn't you like about DialerOne? I've been using it for a bit and, while not as good as the HTC options, I find it much better than the Moto Dialer.
I liked Dialer1 on my Eris, but really love the stock dialer on the DX
Has anyone been able to set dialer one as default dialer? Also after you start it the screen will go to contacts no matter what the setting is.

I downloaded Dialer one and install yesterday with no problem.
First time I went to the dialer, the launcher asked which dialer, and allowed me to set dialer one as default. Been working fine so far.
Dialer One rocks! I love how I can use the keypad to find a contact. That was the one thing I missed having since upgrading my O2.

Seems to be working now. Sweet

Hi, I'm on liquid smooth ICS and whenever I get SMS with smiley face, it converts it to android smileys.. I prefer just the straight up text.. How do I disable the auto convert? Thanks!

But why would you want to do that?
Unless the icons are made in such a way that they are not recognizable.
They're ugly as death.

What is the default ringtone on the unlocked HTC one?
And the default notification sound.

its a secret! no one should hear it , no one should know it.
If I remember correctly, default ringtone is Sense and notification is Teal.

In system/media/audio/ui you can find all kind of system sounds (touch, camera, lockscreen)
I used to be able to use my own ring tones on a custom ROM but I can't find any now that offer it. Is this a feature I can easily add on myself?

Just make a folder on the device named Ringtones and then they will show up in the list.
