Hey guys ... I have been having a problem with my Home launcher .. I already posted about that long ago and no onecould help me.. so i was just wondering if i can replace it with another version .. is that possible ? And if so .. how can I ?

You may be able to do it like this:
Install an alternative launcher first.
Get another home.apk for replacing.
Use root explorer to go to system/app and paste the new apk, replacing the previous one.
Long tap on the new apk, click permissions, and change permissions to -rw--r--r- .
Reboot.

You don't need another home.apk. just use the apk of any launcher you have and use titanium backup and select the app and click convert to system app.

dude ,, i moved the LGHome.apk from system/app and now with the ADW launcher opened ..
and when i pressed the home button .. it said .. android.LGHome.apk is not working.. ( force close )

Lol that is a very simple fix.
You have set LG Home as default.
Go to Settings > Magage Apps > Tap On LG HOME.
There, Tap on Clear Defaults.
Then, Press HOME, and then tick Use by Default, and choose which launcher you want.

Easy way would be to restore a backup and re-start again
Format it !
Why don't you go to the recovery mode and factory resent your phone.
I guess that will fix it.

I think that it won't work because you have deleted the system's base aplication therefore will be restored everything by default except for those deleted apps
How about downloading the original firmware from sammboile and flashing through odin ?
Or flashing a custom rom

I uninstalled picotts (and probably ttsservice) with titanium backup in my new experience ROM, but i want it back now (because i want Llama to speak to me). I tried extracting both files out of NE-zip and copying them into system/apps and giving them permissions (rw-r--r--),i also tried installing the apps which worked for picotts (it doesn't function though) but not for ttsservice. (the tts folder in system was never deleted) can anyone help me?

Install root browser from market and go to system/media, you'll see bootanimation.zip, copy it to safe place

If I may suggest something.
Make it smoother, use more png's to do that.
You have tutorials (check in mine signature) and you'll find there YouTube link for nice programs for bootanimation creator.
You can easily transform any video to bootanimation and have great, smooth animation.

Word, that sounds good, it would make the animation process much easier,
to make this I actually created each individual shot using photoshop so it took me some time
Ill look into making into smoother but i am not going to give an ETA, im pretty lazy lol

Alright, start by downloading ROOTBROWSER app [play store], and allow it superuser permissions
next you go into system>media here you will find bootanimation.zip this is the stock bootanimation, copy and paste into a safe place perhaps your external sd, somewhere you can remember.
next you copy the zip that i provided... take it into the same place... system>media DELETE you stock bootanimation.zip and paste fintest.zip
you can paste it as fintest, then delete stock, then rename as well.
next rename fintest.zip to bootanimation.zip and then change permissions (long press and permissions in the menu) change to RW-R--R--
you should be set. be sure to post whether you are successful in your endeavors or not

For the regular navbar go onto the build.prop and search for "qemu.hw.mainkeys=1" and change "1" to "0" value. so you get "qemu.hw.mainkeys=0" after this you just have to delete Mipop.apk into system/app

Okay so I installed super user and was able to save build prop , do everything was fine until I tried to send a text message and noticed I couldn't type anything, there is a bar with 3 dots that is blocking the area where I'm to type, my keyboard doesn't pop up and clicking on the bar only gives me options to delete messages, can anyone help please? Also Im having a hard time with the play store, I tried downloading all my apps, one app downloads the others get stuck saying downloading, I have to close the play store then re open it and one more app will download and then I have to do the same thing

Well this ROM is looking good, much smoother than miui so this could be a keeper if only I can figure out why my play store downloads get stuck before they are installed

You have to edit the build.prop before flashing into the rom ".zip" you can delete Mipop.apk too at this moment. After you flash the rom if you want to use playstore etc flash the Gapps for android 4.2.2 and it's normally working.

I flashed gapps for android 4.2 and I don't get any error messages it's just that I can only download one app then the next one gets stuck at 100% but never installs unless I restart playstore or reboot phone..... Hi moaud. Do you have root? If yes, choose root browser by tapping those 3 lines at the top left of your screen and grant esfile explorer root - under tools.
