I have searched every where for answers to this.
My phone lags in a serious way with thrill seeker 3.0. I have tried multiple kernals, fresh installs cache/dalvik/data wipes done each time.
If I am doing anything on my phone and get a phone call, text or any kind of notification, my phone freezes. The only thing that seems to fix it is resetting the phone. When I turn it back on it works good for a bit then back to the same stuff. Sometimes it just freezes no matter what I am doing.
I also cant receive or send mms even with the correct apn inputted.
Phone model: lg thrill 4g Shows as: LG-P925 I would guess due to the kernal?
Android version: 2.3.5
Baseband version: L6260_modem_sic_01.1042.00
Kernal version: 2.6.35.7+
Build number: Thrill Seeker 3.0
Software version: LGP925-v20p-FEB-22-2012
Any help would be appreciated. I am at wits end. TIA

Hello. In the thrill seeker 3.1 v20p thread, on about the last page of the thread, the dev has a new update called tsfinaltest2. Try it out. I'm on that version now.

Ok I am feeling like a noob now. Maybe because I have had the baby all day crying and driving me nuts, but I just can not figure out what to do to root my phone.
Here is what I have:
HTC Hero by Sprint
Firmware version: 2.1-update1
Baseband version: 2.42.01.04.27
Software number: 2.31.651.7
This phone I have just received from the insurance company and it is stock nothing on it as of yet, so I am not worried about poising anything.
All I am looking to do is root the phone with the correct software, or even a one click step if available, and be able to use wifi tether for my iPad, and change the themes a little bit.
Would someone be so kind as to point me in the right direction for the current working root? I have searched and looked in the wiki, but there are so many rooms and files that I just can not keep up.
Thank to all for your help!
Dafe.
Also forgot to say I have my old hero that was rooted, but back from 1.5. And now I got to clean that up before going back. That was a one click setup and worked great until the phone was ran over....lol
Thanks again.
Dafe.

Hi, I currently just rooted my phone using RegawMOD Hero rooter v1.3. Worked like a charm no problems then I rebooted my phone. My Wi-Fi is now unable to start. I've been reading non-stop and haven't found a way to fix this problem without factory resetting my phone. I'm also S-OFF using revokeds method, but did that after the WiFi problem, so it isn't that. I uninstalled and updated all apps thinking it was an app problem, but still no fix.
Sprint and Cellular South Heros are virtually identical with the same updates.
Thank you for your time.
Phone Specs:
CDMA - Cellular South
Firmware : 2.1 update 1
Baseband Version : 2.42.01.04.23
Kernel : 2.6.29 - ba77cf03
Build # (Software) : 2.45.557.1 CL261951
PRI Version : 2.51_013
If you need more specs I'm more than happy to post them.

I assume you tried the old "reboot fix" lol. I would say before you go all dev/tweak crazy, maybe try the app on the market called "FXR WiFi fix and rescue".
i had that problem once too. i thought it was the rom that i had loaded, didn't have time to flash new at the time, but then it resolved itself.
If your s-off your cool. Just back up all your data. Reboot into recovery and try a full wipe. Or try flashing a different kernel. Right now you have no wifi so all you do is gain.

I've spent the last few days trying to figure this out without any luck. I have GT-S5830D (Canadian Koodo version) on stock firmware TLKI4, unlocked with SpeakOut sim (which operates on Rogers network).
Android Version: 2.3.4
Baseband Version: S5830DTLKI4
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7-perf-CL568978 [email protected] #1
Build Number: GINGERBREAD.DTLKI4
PDA: S5830DTLKI4
PHONE: S5830DTLKI4
CSC: S5830DTLSKI4
In this stock firmware, I have no issues at all. Everything works fine, can place calls, WIFI, GPS, data all works. If I flash a new rom to the phone, I can see the networks still show up with signal strength showing okay, but the phone will not place calls. Just says Emergency Calls Only.
I've been reading about everything I can about this phone, and I just can't figure out what the problem is. I have flashed the modem with DDKQ7 and I was able to again place calls, however with this modem firmware, the connection was very unstable and would drop frequently.
Is there an issue with directly updating the stock rom to CM7 or CM9 that would cause problems with this baseband? I was under the impression that baseband wasn't really important. Interestingly enough, I have another phone that is the same make and model and is not experiencing this problem. I feel there must be something I am missing, if anyone can shed some light on this, I would appreciate it.
Thank you.
I have a feeling that I may be the only person that has experienced this issue. Continuing to search the internet for other answers, I've discovered that the baseband is the cause of this issue, but I still don't quite understands how it relates. My other phone is on the stock firmware (TLKI4) and is running CM7 without issue, on the same network even.
Do the APN settings have effect on voice calls too? Or is it strictly for data?
Also, I read a post on here that sounded like there was a limit to how many times you can perform a complete flash with Odin? Is that true? I'd love to keep experimenting, but each time to roll back the stock firmware, I need to use Odin and I'm hesitant due to the thought that will eventually brick the phone.
Thanks again.
tried to flash cm7 again??
Yes. I have installed cm-7.2.0-cooper.zip as well as some of the nightly's and still only get emergency calls only. I have another phone, exactly the same setup, and it works without issue. I even tryed GalaxyICS-latest and the same problem.
Now I did install a different modem firmware, and performed the upgrade and I don't have the issue anymore, however I have other issues, dropped service, 3g doesn't work properly, wifi and mobile data won't switch, gps is has extremely long lock time if it locks at all.
Does anyone here have the D version of this phone from Koodo? Which modem firmwares are you using? Anyone specifically using the phone on SpeakOut? Any hints would be helpful because I'm completely at a loss, will just have to keep it stock until I can figure it out.
I had the same problem as you, don't worry though because there is a solution. The Koodo Samsung Galaxy Ace only receives a signal when using the original Koodo baseband. (Basebands have to do with wireless signal, sometimes referred to as modems.) The good thing for you is that you can use any ROM or firmware you like, as long as after installing it you flash the original Koodo baseband (S5830DTLKI4) using Odin. I found a download link for the baseband in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1381595
After downloading, (I'm assuming you know how to use Odin, if not you can find a guide easily) open Odin, and in the "Phone" section browse to the file and select it. (You will have to extract the ZIP) Then press start and wait until it is finished downloading and that should do the trick. If you need any more help post back because I know what a pain it is to try and get this particular phone rooted and install a custom ROM.
ALSO MAKE SURE TO BACKUP IN CLOCKWORK MANAGER BEFORE FLASHING THIS
cause you never know what can happen.
If I flash CM7, it still shows my baseband being the same. It doesn't appear to have been changed. So what I need to do is flash CM7 and then just reflash the baseband with Odin and it should work? Even though the baseband shows the same? I'll give it a shot and let you know how it works out, but does anyone know why this would be required, to have to reflash the baseband even though it was never changed?
Is your current baseband S5830DTLKI4? Because in my experience that's the only way I could get service unless I was on the Koodo stock ROM.
Sent from my GT-S5830 using XDA
Yes, that is the firmware that I'm on. That firmware was installed with the stock rom that the phone came with and I have not changed it. Although I have changed it before, it fixed the issue with getting 'emergency calls only' in CM7 but the service was so flaky it wasn't worth keeping as a solution. If I leave the firmware from stock DTLKI4 and flash CM7 over it, I end up getting stuck with emergency calls only problem.
Is the current official CM7 not compatible with DTLKI4 firmware? Could that be the problem I'm having? I'm still really confused why this isn't working, but I will try to install CM7 again, and then use Odin to flash the DTLKI4 on top to see if the install is causing any issue with it. It doesn't really make sense.
Alright, interestingly enough, I just flashed it again and all is working as expected. I've flashed this phone about 10 times, using the same files and it would not work.
This time however, what I did differently is not root the phone. I've been using the universal_gb_root_v20.zip to root the phone previously, but I found that rooting before installing CM is waste of time as root is enabled in the CM7 rom already.
Also, when I flashed the stock rom with Odin, it usually used selected the KDO CSC automatically, last time I flashed it came up with TLS CSC and had the Telus branding. I don't know if that made any difference. All I know is that it worked and I am able to make calls and use data without any problems.
Thank you Dynamic_Apple, although your recommendation was not required, it did give me the motivation to try again and that was enough to get it working. I've never had so much difficulty modding a phone in my life, especially a model that I have messed with before.
Glad I was able to help, I had just as much trouble getting mine modded too, it makes me jealous of all the generic Galaxy Ace owners, but it's good to know that you can actually get past Koodo's sneaky limitations.
So I rooted my phone and did an "update" to Android 2.2 Froyo a while back but now I'm having problems with it. For example, no matter what I try, the computer will not recognize the phone when I connect it via USB cable. I want to update to Gingerbread but I have no clue where to start. I tried reinstalling Kies, reinstalling Samsung drivers, formatting phone, factory reset, and nothing seems to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My phone details:
Firmware Version: 2.2
Baseband version: 1897UCJI6
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #1
Build number: FROYO.UCJI6

I think he figured it out already, the question was posted 5 months ago.
Hi, I think you should use cook rom for relaxation.
Hi,
I recently installed JellyBeer 4.18 on my Samsung Galaxy Note coming from stock gingerbread.
The problem I'm having however is that I don't seem to have any connectivity with the cellular network.
Even emergency calls do not work.
When trying to find any mobile networks nothing shows up either.
Phone info:
Model Number: GT-N7000
Android version: 4.22
Baseband version: N7000XXLSO
Kernel version: 3.0.31-CM-ga034655
JellyBeer-4.18-02MAY2013-065910
I figured it could have been the radio since I was using an outdated GB one so I flashed N7000XXLSO but that didn't help either.
Already checked IMEI and after flashing this ROM it's still the same.
I wanted to post this in the official JellyBeer thread, but I'm "new" here even tho I've been a forum lurker for quite a while so I don't have enough posts do go and do that.
Did I nuke my antenna somehow?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance
