So we need a bunch of informations from you.
Which Bootloader are you on
Which sd Format is it (GB or ICS)
Have you Root
Is Your Bootloader unlocked.
it is ICS i think. i have came from ICS 4.0.4 to MIUI's rom.
Yes its rooted.
Don't know whether my bootloader is unlocked or not.
When i install a new rom after performing necessary wipes and reboot, it comes back to Xiaomi logo and MIUI's rom start but its apps and processes stop every second.
The installation of new roms that i flash says success but on rebooting MIUI comes even after installing roms.
i use CWM 6.0.2.5.
Tell me what other information you want.

You must unbrick the phone, if you came form ICS you have new boot and that MIUI with new bootload and cm7 works with oldboot.

Well no... but you if you are on ICS Bootloader you cant install an rom based on GB Bootloader and vice versa.
ALWAYS Check in the rom description which Bootloader is it for. Some rom´s even need to flash an own CWM Recovery File to get it work Propperly.

If you want to put cm7, you must to change bootload, and for that you must unbrick.
for unbrick followe this great senior .. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1715272
that will unbrick your phone, .. after you can install a stock GB via smartflash or the ics.. you choose!
good luck
Uh, unbrick? Why is all this unbrick talk going on here, he says that his phone isn't bricked, so there's no need for that.
Are you able to boot into cwm by pressing vol down while powering on the phone? If yes, just flash the desired rom if you know which bootloader you are on.
Else, if you are not sure of bootloader, use aio toolkit. Download toolkit, install nvflash drivers in that, then select option 4, and follow the process. Select old/gingerbread bootloader when asked, and cwm version of your choice. Then put a Rom in sd card and flash in recovery.

Hey Rugglez.
But the process is the same for what muditj14 wants to do, am I wrong?. I never said it was brick. What I meant was that in order to change the boot, he must pass for process of "unbrick".
Perhaps the definition of exchange boot is not being the right one by me and I apologize if that induce someone into error.

Hey mate, what you said isnt a wrong method, but I just suggested AIO toolkit method because its so much simpler and less time consuming. Ultimately, the end result may be the same, but spyrosk has made the toolkit so user friendly that even someone without knowing anything about NVFlash can easily use it. It installs the required drivers by itself with the click of a button, and shows step by step selection of which bootloader, partition size, recovery etc. to flash, and is very safe to use

Hmmm... It works for me
Just after flash .195, I re-installed recovery - install.bat
I think we need to make sure we are on stock 195 kernel. Try flashing this in flashtool and see if it works then
Im on a stock kernel, now on the FTF Kernel your provided in your ROM thread, for some reason, when i flash your ROM, CWM gets removed, i can't go back into it, i have to flash .303, and then use CWM to flash your ROM, i had to do this to upgrade form 003 to 004.
Locked bootloader, running Assaye v4. thanks to CWM. we just need a flashable version to flash after we flash roms.
You rock bro.
Device : Xperia T locked to rogers, rooted and free from carrier apps.

There's an easy fix for this as i just came from the xperia s and had to deal with a locked boot loader on it as well.
We need a flashable version of CWM. this way after you flash a rom before you reboot your device you install CWM, then reboot. then you have ROM and CWM.
I guess you could also try and run the bat file again. (didn't work.)

Ah okay. I would then flash a custom recovery. You can access the bootloader correct? What method did you use to install the rom? Clean flash or wipe is when you erase all the phone's system files, leaving a blank slate for a new rom to be installed on, and should be done before installing a brand new rom to avoid any issues.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2568662
This is the link to the recovery image I used, it's the latest clockwordmod touch recovery. Very easy to flash as long as you have fast boot setup correctly. Once you have a working recovery you should be able to try a re-flash.

Was the recovery still stock or was a custom one flashed? Which process did you follow to root the phone? Since you can't access the recovery at the moment is suggesting it is stock. A failed rom install shouldn't corrupt recovery

I'm not sure, since you have tried to flash another rom, a factory reset might not solve the issue. Trying shouldn't brick the phone but I can't say for sure, sorry!

Could you send me a link to the rom you flashed? Try downloading a different rom. As you can't boot a ROM your only option may be to use ADB to push a new ROM onto your phone's storage.

It may have been a bad download. There isn't really any reason for it to not work, although it does say on the page it "You need TRWP 2.6.3.3 custom recovery!"
Not to worry, you can flash it in no-time. Ok so just as before, just flash a new recovery (again) and use the latest image from here: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7/
This should allow you to install the rom as the developers intend. It is strange though, i've never encountered a rom where a specific recovery was needed.

Hey everyone. I just recently bough a new Atrix HD since my other phone broke but anyways...
1. i noticed i can access the root of the phone (like / partition) but i cant edit it? so is this sign of root? I tried installing superuser binary and it didn't let me so i guess there is no root.
So
How do i boot into the boot loader?
What is the best method for rooting and instaling SU on my atriix (running 4.1.1)?
How do i flash a recovery and which one is best if i want to get cm11? (on my other phone i needed a completely different recovery to get kitakt)
Do i need to unlock bootloader first then root or vice versa?
So the more details the better i will understand if THANK YOU ahead of time.
sorry for such noob questions
PS yes i did google on how to do this and its a bit choppy. like no step 1 step 2 step 3.

No, its far from choppy. The only root method that works on 4.1.1 is Motochopper, and thats an automated script. So how you can say its choppy is beyond my understanding.

Yes. You have to unlock the bootloader to flash anything, including a custom recovery.
Um....okay the fastboot part....
How do i flash CWM after i have unlocked the bootloader which i just did. I just kind of wonder....do i have to dowload the 400+ megabyte .zip for fastboot?! or im getting something wrong.
okay awkward....
i flashed the recovery and it said the recovery (i got cwm from official cm instructions) and it said it installed fine.
The phone boots and stuff...but when i cant do the following
1. Reboot into recovery using volume down and power button
2. Reboot into recovery using fastboot command (it reboots but instead of a recovery it gives me an android with an exclamation point in a red triangle)

I was hoping you fixed the issue. I don't know what to do.
It's a matter of unlocking the boot loader. Once you do that, you can jump back and forth between ICS-based ROMs and everything else.
Gingerbread ROMs include the boot loader (marvel and Huexxx).

Man I can flash ICS-based ROMs .JB and KK, I can't flash GB stock or GB-based ROMs, not even with SFT.
I think the bootloader it's unlocked because I can acces CWM from switch off phone(key combo)....I am confused because i read many tutorials but they are contradictory
That happends also with me 2 times.
Just flash CWM recovery again.

Try toii install a ROM right after rebooting from flash.
What I did is: Install a JB ROM, After, I reinstall CWM with ADB, reboot and then I could install any rom.

Did you unlocked the bootloader first? can you put a link with your froyo and SFT?
I am from Romania so I need an Europe Open
No, I don't tried to unlock bootloader, but like you , I got the bootloops every time I downgrade from ICS, Nameless or cyanogen roms . I use original Froyo - flashed with SFT , then upgrade to GB with Cwm recovery patch- flashed with SFT, then boot to recovery and install Nameless. I will give you the links, once I uploaded to my dropbox.
Here, I hope will help you : https://www.dropbox.com/s/psniks1yvqwymy9/firmware v10a-europe-p970.rar

It's not working. Don't know what to try
UP! When I use the bootloader unlocker app the flashing process take about 2-3 seconds and the app closing by itself without any message like "succes". I even tried to flash a u-boot img uploaded by huexxx and at the second reboot the phone stucks on lg logo without flashing leds

Did you already try the alternative way without the app? Which means load the files to your sdcard and afterwards type the dd if=xxxx of=xxxx? This could show if it works or fails. And did you ever flash the LU5900 port? So the early ICS ROM released by Redy, Gabwerkz and me. Try the manual unlock first.

OK I have the terminal emulator on my phone.
I've read the thread and it says "Move this two files, bootloader and recovery to the root of memory sdcard;
Enter in the command line
su
dd if=/sdcard/u-boot.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p2
dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p4
And reboot or reboot recovery."
I have downloaded all on my laptop(bootloader recovery and su) but I am confuse....what's with that "su"?
Do I have to put it on the root of the sdcard too?
Sorry for my noob question
Hi guys,
Ok, so I've searched through everything and I still can't find an answer to my problem. So, basically, I have just installed Cyanogenmod 11 on my Xperia SP successfully using CWM recovery and then I wanted to reboot my phone again into CWM, so that I could install gapps, but I just couln't. Despite pushing right buttons while booting or making him boot into recovery mode, he always turns on the system. I can't get into flash tool either, but maybe it is because I have a blocked bootloader. I don't know if it's a valid info, but I have used "Wipe data/factory reset" before installing Cyanogenmod 11.
Please, help me, as I have no clue what to do now :<

i don't know if the lbl can do this but i think you can:
flash a recovery through rashr app ...flash this.img via the app(it's twrp recovery and it's the best ! )

Did that. Still, nothing worked. I installed twrp via rashr app as you suggested, then the was supposed to reboot in the recovery, but again, it didn't, just instantly went into cyanogenmod.

Maybe his bootloader can't be unlocked.
But if it can be (just dial *#*#7378423#*#* and check bootloader status), I too would suggest unlocking it. Makes flashing and customizing so much more easier and there infinitely more ROM's and other files to choose from.
Of course take a TA backup before you unlock your bootloader or your warranty's gone for good.
