Hi friends,i've installed the new ginger-dx v30 then after installation mobile is rebooted and then in the starting screen (where one hand sign will comes and tells to touch the xperia x8) after this, in the configuration of the google account the suddenly the phone was got strucked and i rebooted the phone then the mobile working normally but THE GOOGLE PLAY IS NOT INSTALLED AND THE GMAIL ACCOUNT IS NOT CONFIGURED, WHENEVER IAM TRYING TO ADD A ACCOUNT IN THE SETTINGS THE PHONE IS REBOOTING.I TRIED TO REINSTALL THE GINGERDX AGAIN BUT SAME SITUATION IS HAPPENING,I'VE ALSO TRIED TO WIPE THE CACHE, FACTORY SETTINGS, FULL WIPE,DALVIK CACHE WIPE,BATTERY WIPE BUT NOTHING HAS CHANGED. ANY SUGGESTIONS?IAM NOT ABLE TO ADD THE ACCOUNT.. :crying:

Why don't you just ask this on GDx thread ? Why make new thread for every problem ? Use search button. We have also a FAQ thread for problems. Next time SEARCH BEFORE POSTING !

I apologise for my english
Thise happened 4 times allredy.
If i install app (no matter wich, last time it was Astro from market) it opens with wellcome window and setings etc.
I close it.
Next time i open it it behaves like it installed first time, opens wellcome window setings etc.
That happens to ewery app installed aftervard.
It is like aps think that they are just instaled, even if i set them and everithing.
Factory reset.
Everithing O.K.
After some thime all start to happen again.
It dosent matter wich app start thise behaviour first, it is random.
I woud like to know why thise is hapening, how i can prevent it and how i can fix it (without factory reset) once it happens.
I need detail instructions and explanation becouse i dont know anithing abaut android.
I use Galaxy S, no root, Froyo 2.2.1.

Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications and open the all applications tab. Go to Market, tap it and select Clear Data. Then go back and open the Android Market..open My Apps and all should be well.

That dosent work and i have feeling that you misunderstand my question (becouse of my english).
Thise dosent have anything to do with market. It dosent matter if app is from market. Any app behaves like it is just installed. I apologise becouse my english prevent me from posting question more clearly but your answer have nothing to do with my problem.

Anybody understand what i am asking?
Someone had problems with applications that never remembered her configurations,he had to rewrite some linux path for permissions by adb.But there is a fix permission in rom manager,don't know if it can help I'm not aware of that kind of stuff.

Hey! I have the same problem..so annoying. If i run twitter i get a welcome mssg and if i run it couple hours later or reboot my phone..it lost everything..so welcome etc. .all appz does it :-(

Let's try fix permission in the recovery or by rom manager from the market.Don't know for sure but something like that.(hmmm maybe safer by recovery)

Yes that is what i am talking abaut. For me only factory reset helps (didnt try anithing else).

Don't know much either,i mean never tried it myself, the option is in the recovery menu with certain kernels.I see it in my recovery on 2.3 with chainfire CWM.
What rom/firmware/kernel have you?
I'll be sorry if that's not a solution for you but by searching google for your concern that's the only thing i can see...

I didnt root or install custom mods or anithing. I have vanilla Froyo 2.2.1
I also had this problem.
Both my apps tweetcaster and hullinail were telling me to register my accounts even though i already did jus a few hours ago.
Emailed tweetcaster who i didnt get a reply from.
Emailed hullomail, who told me to send them a log and after a few emails told me i needed to reset the phone. This solved it.

Yes factory reset fixes it but i hate that i must install all aps again and tweak all setings. I woud like to know if there is easier.way and what cause it.

whenever i install the .apk file, the installer says "application not installed". i've tried files of xperia active launcher and still no good, help please?
what rom are you using?
Firstly ur rom should be 2.3
2-Dis also happened to me so what i did was re-install rom
3- check non-market apps and then install

Hmm, not necessary has to be Gingerbread... some versions of the launcher works in 2.1 and 2.2 (with fc's adding folders)

This happen to me in a while.. You should try fullwipe and reflash the rom again,
DO NOT FULLWIPE AFTER FLASHING -- it might happen just bcause of the wipping.. I found few bugs after wipping GDX regarding apk instalation but maybe its just me
Anyway GingerXperia and Gingercruzt has build in active launcher on them...

i tried to flash the rom again without full wipe and it worked , now my new problem is the dualtouch add-on, i've flashed it, but it wont work, lol, anyways thanks

2. When I changed my wallpaper, I can't seem to find the default wallpaper. It's not in the category of cyanogenmod wallpape
3. After restart to recovery or reboot it doesnt boot(Sometimes). No response upon turning on

Once you change the wallpaper, you will not get it again. It happened also when I'm using XGin ROM a few month back...

full wipe to get default wallpaper
but all your app will gone if U not using EXT2 (app2sd)
My main concern is I can't install google maps
You should try a factory reset in clockworkmod then install the miniCM again

Yeah I tried that but to no avail. I tried other gapps still no maps
Do you use the NAa kernel for miniCM with an unlocked bootloader?

I would personally reccomend using GingerDX anyway its fast and stable
Wifi error when i not use nAa kernel.

Look if u gonna do a full wipe then it is better to update your ROM to 2.1.9 and flash G-apps
Trust me new rom is totally an improvement
but remember to backup your phone so that if u don't like the new rom u restore the previous

Hello, I'm just new in the Android world. I just acquired an HTC Tattoo and an Xperia X8.
In the X8 I have the n4n kernel with latest nighly cyanogenmod (20)
In Tattoo I have the stock kernel with latest nighly cyanogenmod (22)
With the Tattoo I don't have any problem.
But with the X8 I can't access to the Market (latest installed version 3.4.4) . I also tried with older markets (3.1.2, 2.2.x). When I try to open the app, it don't open. It ask to create an account and it don't make anything after that. Also tried with mini CM 2.1.9.
And with WhatsAPP it just don't install (yes I have third parties apps enabled)
Can somebody help me, please?

Yes I have the SIM card. But this not necessary because with Tattoo it's not a requeriment.

Hello, I tried wiping all data and nothing. I don't belive that changing the ROM is the solution, remember I'm trying with two ROMs (CM-Nighlty-20 and miniCM 2.1.9).

Search for this zipped file ( gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip ) and flash it using cwm

if you use titanium backup you will see that there are plenty google apps installed,if by any chance you unistall one of those you may not be able to access the market but if you havent unistall any of this then your problem doesnt have to do with that....
got the encryption unsuccessful thing a long time ago (last march??) and after the emmc fix (repartitioned SD to 2G, installed ROM on SD etc.) and have been running SLIM ICS 2.8 on it just fine since. last week most of my apps started crashing sporatically and it eventually just wouldnt boot past the ROM bootup screen. after trying a few things I just decided to flash SLIM ICS 2.8 again and it worked fine for a day but died again (won't boot past SLIM splash screen. Flashing the ROM again doesn't seem to help anymore. how should I proceed to troubleshoot?

i have not installed any new apps (unless something was imbedded in an update somehow)
the symptoms are similar to the ones I saw after i had the problem spoke of in this thread:

It seems like you need a clean start. Some data are corrupted somehow so I would start fresh and flash Odin kk4, corn kernel and get back on your ROM.
