Found this guide, not sure but I think you may have to flash DBDATA.RFS with Odin under "PDA" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38025542#post38025542 I'm not sure if it'll wipe your sdcard. sorry can't help much, anyone with more brain's than me correct me if I'm wrong.

So hey all,
Recently my Galaxy just stopped working. At home I tried to install new firmware. Then I got a lot of errors.
This is what I get when I go in my Recovery Mode:

Succesfully applied multi-CSC.
E:failed to mount /sdcard (File Exists)
Reboot system gives me this:
E:copy_log_files_to_data: Can't mount /dataRebooting.
A
pply update from sdcard doesnt give any option
wipe data/factory reset gives me this:
-- Wiping data...
Formatting /data
E:format_volume: rfs format failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
Formatting /dbdata...
Deleting Meta Data
Formatting /cache...
Data wipe complete.
Wipe cache partition gives me this:
-- Wiping cache...
Formatting /cache...
Cache wipe complete.
When I install new firmware I get errors the same like this.
Now I have tried to install all firmwares (from 2.2.1 to 2.3.6) and nothing works.
I had my Galaxy running on a costum ROM (I don't remember the name, it was something with Ario).
What to do? I'm quite lost..

Check My Android Solutions as to what may work for you
I had the same problem. My internal memory card was broken. I have received my repaired phone from Samsung service centre 2 days ago.

solutions for /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 or /mmcblk0p1 or /mmcblk0p0 are all never the same, it all depends on as to what caused the format failure .
You can try flashing the same ROM twice or more with different PIT ( i9000 has 3 PIT files)
But if the problem was caused by Lagfix, which you had failed to undo before a factory reset or upgrade...than your Internal SD card needs to be reformatted back to rfs.(vfat) ..which is why the stock ROM fails to solve the problem as your current format is in ext 4.
So nothing will work, IF your internal SD card had been converted to Ext 4 format, until you find a way to format it back to vfat.
For Korean version of Galaxy S , flashing an Eclair will solve all problems except this lagfix problem. So you can try the Eclair for i9000 at My Android Collections
Suggest you try to format your Internal SD card ( remove ext SD card and Sim Card) , before trying any ROMS

try relevant solution from My Android Solutions
But First powerdown, pull out Battery, SIM CARD, and EXT.SD card, press power button for a minute, than powerup without SIM and Ext.SD Card....
Tips before Flashing:-
Backup all your important files, contacts, SMS, game data, images etc to PC or Ext SD card. or make Nanadroid Backup If you have CWM
Backup your EFS Folder to PC or Ext SD card
Enable USB Debugging on Phone. Touch menu> Settings> Applications> Development>
Charge your battery to more than 50% before you attempt any sort of flashing.
Disable Samsung KIES when using Odin. Kill Kies.exe, KiesTrayAgent.exe, & KiesPDLR.exe using Task Manager on PC
Use only ROM and solution for your model and Wipe x3

Seems you are on stock gingerbread.. what I'll think work is flashing a custom kernel corresponding to the stock rom you had on your phone..
flash the kernel through odin by going to download mode.. try starting your phone if it works fine.. if it doesn't then custom recoveries give you option to mount the internal storage while in recovery mode.. connect phone to pc and then mount storage.. you should be able to access your internal card..

internal sdcard0 undetected with error: command '117 partition disk volume

Since this morning, my janice fails to mount the sdcard0 failing to download files from the browser, or pictures from whatsapp. Going in -Settings - internal memory; the sdcard0 been damaged and that to use it you must first configure / format it. Formatting does not start and a message appears: command '117 volume partition disk: 179_0 public' failed with '400 117 Command failed'
How can I fix the problem?
idk really about this..what about mount sdcard0 in recovery? Happy Canada Day ”9¶3

What izwan15 is saying is that
GO TO RECOVERY (vol UP + HOME +POWER)
Select mount and storage option
See if sd card0(internal memory card) is mounted if you see it unmount , just click and mount it ,
reboot and see if it fixes the problem .
hope it helps
From recovery when I go to - Mounts and Storage - mount / storage / sdcard0 appear this error message: / storage / sdcard0: Idle-Unmounted E: Error mounting / storage / sdcard0.
I do not know which way to turn!
Please help me!!

HI , well i would say that the partition table is screwed for some reason, because the internal storage partition has gone completely gone you are having this issue simple thing to solve this would be flashing stock which will ultimately repart the partitions and format the sdcard0. [Try to backup some important data first].
SOLVED. Give a medal to this man. Thank you so much @DaksAnkit.
I installed the Stock Rom via custom recovery (found on another forum by a user called Gargaros) and subsequently by a temporary recovery reinstalled the Rom I wanted (in my case 5.1.1). Now everything works perfectly!:victory:
