Windows 8 Theme : - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Friends,
I am really excited to see the mindblowing results of Amnix Xperia theme.
Amnix did an excellent job in making a note to xperia Z edidtion.
just wondering, is it possible to get the Windows 8 live tiles theme in the same way the Xperia theme is imported.
There are launchers availble on google play but that are not user friendly to be used as for daily use. This innovative idea will bring lots of new themes/skins(Sense 4.0/Live tiles/Ios) to our Galaxy Note
I dont know anything about developing. but this really excite me to ask this query. Sorry if my question is irrelevant.
Thanks to all developers for helping us and giving us an oppurutinty to make a different feel of our Note:good:. Hats off to you guys
Thanks & Regards,
Naresh Mahbubani.

There is a windowsphone launcher available on the playstore, other than that i fear youll have to with widgets.

Xperia theme is just a launcher as is touchwizz, launcher7, launcher8, apex, go, nova, adw etc etc. They're all written for Android and often open source which means we can get the source code to port them to our device.
Ios and windows phone 8 are not written on Android ie its they're own os and both are closed source so there is no way to port them ever. The best you can do is try an alternative launcher.
Try launcher7 and launcher 8 they're by far the best windows phone launchers.

Blank post

Launchers :
I agree tere are few launchers available in Play store but using it in daily use is a pain. Most of the time launcher fails/forced stop.
I was wondering if anyone can create a replica of windows 8 to our galaxy note:fingers-crossed:

Don't know what's wrong with me today, keep creating blank posts :what:

Amnix ROM really tempted me to ask this question.
I really dont know about developing ROM but I know Miracles do happen at XDA-Developers & I have seen many developers giving their best efforts to create bestest of best theme.
Really appreciate everyones effort :good:

(New App/Launcher) Working well on O2X

The other day I just accidentally met this launcher while surfing and out of curiosity installed it. This launcher is developed by PSC from Japan. All credits and kudos to him for developing a unique launcher.
This Launcher is replicated on the basis of Xperia Mini Corner Launcher but is a kind of app instead of a full fledged laucnher. It ca be used together with any launchers like ADW, LauncherPro, GoLauncher etc. I liked this app developed by PSC with a new concept and is worth trying also. Anybody interested can try.

Blackberry overhaul

Hi all. I would like to know if it is possible to have a blackberry style on my OB. Like launchers, etc... I search in internet but the only thing I manage to find is ADW launcher + its Blackberry theme.
Thanks. ^^

LOL buy an Android to have Blackberry UI. Craziest thing I heard this month
Blackberry system isn't a loved system/UI, so I don't really think there is much more than the ADW theme. A BB launcher, sure nobody made it. But you can start getting the icons (if you can find them in good resolution :S ) and start with an icon pack.
Also you can mod the status bar to look like BB.
LOL sobralobo! I just realized this is you when I looked up to read again the post! What are you doing?! Hahaha

Ahah antonio, it's just because I love changing the style of my phone. Sometimes I want android UI, then Iphone UI, WP7 UI and know I would like the blackberry one. I like it too. Too bad that there is nothing more than ADW.
Well now I had to stop trying some development and modding because I'll have exams next week and you ?

+1 why would you want your android to look like a blackberry? Into the same vein Antonio, didn't you make the wp7 theme? Why would anyone want their black to look like a windoze phone?

Hahaha you didn't get me! I wasn't saying "why would you want Android look like *** not Android?", but specifically Blackberry, which isn't precisally famous for its beauty nor its performance (okay, Blackberries have a keyboard and are useful for businessman blabla).
WP7 and its Metro style have been recognized as pretty, and I'm not the only crazy who said "oh, it's nice", so I'm not alone
I'm not of those who are Android 100% defenders and it must look like Android. You all know that. I was just messing with Blackberry (which I hate), making my point and also messing with Sobralobo a little bit
Fair enough, and I'm always looking for themes, but ones that DON'T look like anything else. And as much as you may hate blackberry, I DESPISE everything Microsoft, so from the moment I saw your theme I couldn't understand why anyone would want to make an android look like Microsoft (though I must admit it looks pretty cool) I feel the same about iPhones, if you want your LG or Samsung to look like an iPhone, just spend the extra $200 and buy one!

Ahah it's just that I love change themes. X) And that its like I have many phones ahahah.

I once searched for my friend's phone theme and same, adw & go launcher theme i got.

Just found this ; https://market.android.com/details?id=com.gau.go.launcherex.theme.BBERRY

Create your own launcher

From my own experience, and from speaking to other members of XDA and other android forums, I've noticed that 95% of people (approx) aren't totally happy with their home launcher but won't change because it offers the closest to what they feel they need.
Running off this, I thought what launchers would you mix together to create your "perfect" launcher(if you could).
Personally, I'd put together Holo launcher and Go launcher ex together with the addition of a launcher where I could totally change my dock, as Ive seen some great docks on DroidIcon.
I choose these because I like the smoothness and general use of holo but love the array of themes and widgets available specifically for go launcher.
What would you choose and why?

Holo launcher with widget tab, animations (without pro), widget tab and a tablet style option.

Go launcher with tons of smoothness optimizations.... its way to sluggish for me

After finding out about TSF Shell yesterday and wwatching the youtube videos of it, I'd say a lot of features from there would be a good incorporation aswell. It would take a lot to make all that run nice and smooth without problems though

Where do you find amestris? Is it a tablet app? Not finding it in the play store.

id say something like apex with the ability to change the dock and also resize the icons(more emphasis on risizing icons since theyre so tiny on nova and apex).
I would do something similar to Go Launcher without all the bloat.
Trebuchet!!
I would like to merge trebuchet and nova launcher. Nova launcher without too much of customizability and nova's shadow option rocks with treb!
:good:
This is the best theme I've ever seen..
But this thread should be in general thread...

Guide Me Guys

Recently i was using my dad's Lumia 710, the minimalistic look is very good. I currently run MIUI in my Note. Is there any theme or mod to flash which resembles similar to WP7

Microsoft wants money. But the best way for them to make money is to sell WP8 for existing android phone. Which is flashable. They can put a price tag like 20$ and ibcan bet they will make tons of money.

Best Launcher for customiziation?

i just had a look at the thread "Post Your Screen Shots Here" and they Looked Pretty Cool i want to be able to customize everthing like fonts themes app drawer everthing im running Stocklite V8 as my rom. iv looked at go launcher ex but alot of people say it slows your phone down to snail pace
Best launcher for customization is in my opinion the adw ex. U can change every single option and customize it as u wish. Plus u can get some nice themes on google play.
I use go launcher ex on SGS II v10.1 & it runs flawlessly !

You got 4 diferent opninions for 4 diferent launchers, best way to decide is to try all !
I am a fan of Apex and Nova, the pro/prime keys are worth it if you can afford it
You can customize with gestures and themes without the pro keys but more gestures and transitions are available with a $4.00 purchase. Most themes work with ADW/Apex/Nova and sometimes GO.
I don't like GO though because it is a memory/resource hog.
This thread should probably have been posted in Themes and Apps.

( Stumbled & ready to attack...!)
best launcher imo:
customization---> ADW
simplicity---> holo
golauncher has lots of customization too but it's kinda, idk, laggy when run on ace
touchwiz UX themed (think s3) holo launcher is my current choice check out screenshots in s'perience rom by snowpluralism

My choice - ADW EX
Butter smooth and customizable...
Just try 360 launcher pro. Chinese language is outta my perception but for what it offers, worth making a compromise ! So much of customization inbuilt widgets, countless themes, 360 locker & themes, supports gestures, effects & much more! It's just awesome try it out !
