Hi to everyone...
Can I extract a kernel and Cook/flash it with other rom so as to extend battery life of second rom...
I luv layout of one rom.... and battery life of another.. can I merge the two to have the best one....
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Any ways to work out this idea....?
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app
Just port the rom you like to the rom with the kernel easy to do there is a few threads on here and a few youtube videos or download the kernel seperate and flash it
Sent from my GT-S5830
Kernel=boot.img
Take boot.img from the 'good battery life one' and replace the one in the 'good looks' one
However, take care as to not take a CM kernel and put it in a stock kernel. If you do that, your device will get bricked as cm kernels aren't compatible with stock kernels.
Which are these roms you are talking about?

I like Interface of AceSIII by Winxuser and battery life touchwiz v1.0 by skywalker.
Will you please let me know if these two rom are compatible to each other...
I m using touchwiz rom with next launcher installed.
At moment, i m quite satisfied with the combination....

Hi guys,
I am new here and need your opinion.
Which rom and kernel are the best for GNote..for battery life?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
For my opinion its a little bit early for custom rom and kernel.New phone so new stuff for the devs and a lot of tests for them.
I tried some custom rom but for now im on latest root stock, deleting lot of uselles apps, ics animation and battery% (you can find in theme's thread) and everything is fine for me.
We all must be patience...
Yeah..
Tnx man.

Just my opinion
1.Stock rom cuz there are alot of cm7 based rom already and most stock rom based are now either discontinue or buggy.
2.Remove bloat ware and replace stock app with better app. Barebone will be nice too so we can customized the way we want
3.Performance and battery efficiency
4.It really ur choice but I prefer sth else more "weird"
Cheer mate

Lagfree even with music with dsp manager!
Try modding MIUI...i more stable and bug free version maybe

1. try mebitek, cause i think we have andro-id for stock
2. try timescape, but without SE launcher
3. stable, free bugs, good battery of course, and try something new, give some suprises for us, like OC to 1gz maybe (kidding)
4. agree with ICS
No need add too many app on it. .try work on launcher, theme or statusbar.lockscreen....the most important is support a cleannn ROM. Base kittenlinux build squad config...mabtek rom have some bug...

Very unique way too start a rom. Thank you.
Here are my suggestions ---
1. MIUI style ( there are many ics styled rom theme, so miui is my choice)
2. No bloatware
3. Battery tweaks and slaid script
4. CM based - better customization than stock ( my opinion)
5. Base mebitek latest
It should be like a carbon copy of ICS

Cassie's xtralite room. Most stable, most speed, less bugs, best deep sleep despite being a gb rom.
after flashing many original development roms, I'm back to xtralite rom and I'm not planning to flash another for quite awhile.
it's not the latest and greatest but hey, you asked. Peace out.
Alliance Rom! You just need to go into Android Develeopement thread and see which is the most popular one
I was on Alliance ICS Final for a long time and this is the most stable and absoultely smoothest rom , but it is ICS, you may try if you like...
Now I am switched to Alliance XXLSC, requires the installation of some fix over the Rom customizer, but worth the effort. I just installed 240dpi mod and a few others with nova launcher and it is amazing... contains everything you requested in your first post
EDIT: you know that the stock ICS kernel is not safe for wiping? be sure that first thing you need to do is flash a safe kernel if you are on ICS (from stock recovery it is best to flash PhilZ kernel first, then you can continue to rock )
the best is Stock official rom preinstalled on your NOTE.

Andris
Use the stock XXLSC from the android dev section. then flash the mods you want

oh...if this rom is what you want, you should buy a Note 2 instead of flashing a jellybean daily driver for Note 1. I'll be flashing a multiview rom soon but I don't expect to be on it for very long.
stability is what I want too.

Can any1 give me the list of fully Stable roms other than Cyanogen mod 7 for my Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 ???
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app
Sticklite v8 and the myth 2.0 both stockbased and stable roms I'm using the myth at the moment and loving it but it all depends what the individual desires in a rom to say which is the best
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
I use and recommend THIS one
I suggest you speriance rom. It's very smooth and battery monster.
XperiaTized V13 is best, consumes the least ram possible... :good:
But there is 50+ fully stable Roms, guess you should try at least half of them and decide which one suits best for you!
Good luck!
Guys my friend gave his galaxy ace to install a custom I tried pac rom, CyanogenMod but it lags and it is slow.there are huge amount of development in ace section.don't know which one to pick and leave.suggest me some of the best and lag free roms.can suggest any version of android but it be rock solid, and memory is one of the problem in ace provide me the link to increase the internal memory, waiting for suggestions from u guys...

my friend as you live in india like me i would suggest a good option that is install stock rom latest 2.3.6 on your ace if you are not fond of themes and looks
root it
flash recovery
create ext partition as you like {256 if you need less apps and 512 if you need more apps you can go up to 1 gb }
install cromod intext+ script {mount data and system before flashing this}
after installing all necessary apps
install fly on mod by seeing the procedure and pure performance
if you wanna save battery try battery extender kernel
dont go for cm 9 10 10.1 or 10/2 roms they show lag and sucks battery and cm 7.2 roms offer speed but also sucks battery very much
so if you have time go for what i am telling i gurantee you will like it brother
HIT THANKS COS YOU WONT DIE
HAHA
GOOD LUCK
