So current I am on CM10 and there are a few bugs that disturb me, like no FM radio, HDMI that doesn't work and the generally bad battery life. So, I thought I will try ICS.
What I want: good battery life, working HDMI (although I believe they all have it), working FM radio and working FM radio app and generally little to no bugs. All suggestions are welcome but please explain why you suggest that.
Thanks for all the answers!

Stock based roms are very stable and bugfree. I'm using djangomanouche X by carburano and opti thrust by jishnu sur. I am very satisfied, very smooth, stable and fast roms. I can confirm fm radio and hdmi both working great

DjangoManouche X 1.3 is simply awesome, very smooth, no lag.
You must give it a try
My vote goes to Django Manouche, no bugs and unleashed the power of my o2x.
R: What ICS based ROMs would you recommend?
Some days ago was born a new rom. You should try it. Tonyp is the guy who is developing this new custom rom. It uses the amazing pengus77 kernel.
I red that pengus adds to the wishlist for his kernel the fix for hdmi, you have just to wait.. For the radio you could use tunein. You'll find it in market.

The new kernel Kowalski 011p3 for pengus77 is very good !
CM9 tonyp's rom is stable and relatively bug-free (at least I couldn't find it). I use it as my daily driver. I can confirm that HDMI works, have good battery life, but too bad it does not come with working FM radio & app. Solution: check http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33876656&postcount=4787, but use it at your own risk.
DjangoManouche or Tonyp´s ParanoidAndroid working fine for me, especially with pengus77 kowalski Kernel.
I´m not into Django optic so i prefer CM style, just give it a try
both very recommendable
is DM available for su660 to?
DjangoManouche is a great daily driver. smooth, no bugs i can find, and everything works.
i can recommend django manouce x1.3 NOOC with KOB kernel 0.4.
Its very smooth, also after 4 weeks without any bugs and very very stable.
i have only 1 BOSD in all the time.
thanks django :good:
The best is civatos 4.6 awesome rom

there's no stable ics rom for mini right now, there's beta, but still have some bugs.
but if you are looking for fully functional rom...try using emanon rom or any of the CM7.2 available (squad's or mebitek's or or subpsyke's or official)....others are not fully stable and especially the ICS ones are in development....so choose from the above mentioned stable ones....
or you can try cm7 official

You only need to look at this portal:

You will not find anything better.

F4k's Linaro v4 is stable, blazing fast and has great battery life.
At the moment there are plenty of awesome ICS ROMs who are almost bug- and lag-free.
If you're looking for a ROM with experience, try CM9. AOKP allows a little more customization; Gummy is pretty recent, but has also some fancy exclusive tweaks (SMS Popup on Lockscreen...).
Theme Chooser works on all three, so do almost all flashing addons.
I'm on ICS333 and it seems to work just fine, stable, and not many bugs. Try it.
CM9

ICS333 extreme :good: Haven`t had a single problem with it
Slim ICS 4.2, no bugs, no lags.
I have the same question (but for slightly different uses).
I need a fast and stable ICS ROM for mz gf's phone. The thing is it needs to be as stable and bug-free as possible, I am less interested in advance features or tweaks or oc-ing etc. Stability is key.
She has had a lot of problems on other firmware, first on the stock gb, then on DarkyROM gb, then on stock Value Pack ROM with semaphore kernel, laginess, random restarts, losing 3g connection etc.
She will be going awa for a few months for an internship and she knows nothing about flashing ROMS and I won't be with her to help. So the key for me is that the ROM requieres as little maintanence as possible.
Thanks for any advice guys
Hey i have installed tiramislim v2 and trust me it is fast, smooth and stable with no bugs..go for it your gf won't be having any problem with this rom

A lot of the roms are pretty similar (AOSP based) and tend to be really stable, the more features a rom adds the more likely there are to be bugs introduced.

Yeah, I figured, thats why I want only something which is basic ics, fast, stable and minimum bugs, dont need many extra/advanced features.
ICS333 is very good, tiramislim 2.0 is equally good but more costumizable without downsides...with semaphore or devil 3 latest kernels.
I think the AOKP milestone 6 is bug.free, snappy and has a great baterry life. Maybe you flash a custom kernel, i often use midnight-ics. for linaro supporting roms, semaphore also works good

I would reccomend both AOKP and TiramiSLIM.
Both are fantastic roms and I won't be switching again until a stable 4.1 rom comes out.
remics_ux_v1.3
remics_ux_v1.3 is also very nice~
Thanks for your answers guys, I think I will try out tiramislim, that looks quite nice
Yup go for tiramislim v2 its the best rom..

if you want a more pure google experience id go with elite or cm9.
If you want a samsung experience I would go with remics
If you just want speed and don't care really about anything else like language support or a good base launcher, go with slim

CM9 doesn't have hardware acceleration so you can't play video. Stock rom V20s is good for me + horse power kernel .
You can play vids it's recording who cause difficulty.

CM 7.2.0 stable release + LG stock camera from Temasek CM7 thread is the best for me so far. No lag in playing games like other ROM I've tested.
Well. After all ROMs I tried, I still go back to Miui, in fact, its Wiui ( Click me ) . Its by far the best 2.3 Rom to date until [ROM] DjangoManouche came out a 1.5 stable release, which will be getting the throne back Try it yourself.
I'm not sure but I think the final stable version of CM7.2 has just been released. I haven't tried it myself but you may wanna check it out.
BTW, temasek's CM7 build is probably best GB ROM around.
Try Domination CM9 by Owain94 if you decide to step up to CM9
I've tried all ICS ROMs for the 2X, but the best in my eyes is tonyp's PARANDROID. Very fast and better battery drain than CM 7.2. I also like the Tablet UI and the possibility to set different DPIs for each app.
Sent from my LG-P990
I agree, ParanoidAndroid is so far the best ICS Rom for our O2x (apart from HWA). If you need a fully working best GB ROM try out CM7 ChuckNorrisEDITION. This is smooth and the battery drain seems be very slow. :victory:
I probably would say eaglesblood ics.

to continue using the stock like feeling with amazing performance, battery life....and most importantly stability...flash the Django Manouche 1.5 RC3...you can choose, from a lot of Kernels, apps, features with the aroma installer....
See my signature for reference...
i reccomend paranoidandroid jellybean flavoured...
Eagles blood ics with harsh kernel has been very good even though I have to say just Eagles blood ics without any special kernel seems to be better battery life.

Stability wise, they're all reliable (unless they specifically say they are unstable).
Speed wise even CM10 is perfectly usable for me.. the more lightweight ROMs may be faster, but I prefer the features to a fraction of extra speed.
Definitely a Jelly Bean rom is your choice. Like already said, all of them (if listed here on XDA) are good for everyday use unless stated otherwise in the OP.
Which JB one? That is your job through trial and error. Because what's best for me, is not necessarily the ideal one for you.
Would you also recommend SlimBean already? I'm still on SlimICS, which is a really good rom for me...

But what if everyone provided a benchmark score (eg AnTutu) when they report about the speed and stability of which ROM they are using. Then we could all make a direct comparison and find out which ROM really is the fastest. (As for stability, that is more subjective.)

I'm on SlimBean but I wish I'd stayed on SlimICS.
I got 2 days of battery on ICS but now it's struggling to get half a day.
I wonder if they archived SlimICS anywhere, I'd like to reflash it
Actually I don't find the stability of any JB rom to be as good as GB's one. You might be interested in trying GamerzRom v9 (GB 2.3.6). I think it's THE cleanest rom ever made for this phone.
Anyway, at the moment I'm using CyanAOSP v0.52 which is pretty stable(not much rubbish installed), lightning fast(with recommended settings) and has a great battery life.
