AND N64 Controller adapters exist?! I'm in ecstasy right now..
Does the XOOM need the OTG cable to make this work?
I'm curious to know if this works for the Xoom. I'd assume that OTG cable is required.
great find!

Yes it would need an otg cable i had my 360 wireless controller working on mine without any program however, if i tried to use 2 wireless controllers it kinda confused the emulator and both controllers moved both players so im assuming this app would fix that.
Anyone have issues purchasing app?
Anyone have issues purchasing app? Mine errors and says contact Google or "pending", but will not bill me or allow download.
So, has anyone given this a try yet? I've ordered all the accessories (HDMI cable, Xbox Adapter, Angled OTG Cable) all I've got left is to purchase the app itself.
I'd love to hear from anyone that's tried it.
I'll be sure to update!
well the app is gone from the play store
any one has any idea on how to get multiple wireless xbox controllers to work with an android device?
Hey everyone, I recently bought an OTG cable off amazon along with a ps2 controller to USB adapter. Well, while waiting for my ps2 adapter to come in(OTG is already in my possession), I wanted a temporary solution.
I used to mod original xbox's and even make adapters to convert controllers to USB(Original xbox uses USB, just different shaped ports). Well, on windows you have to download special drivers that you have to find yourself due to your computer not being able to automatically install the controller. So, I figured the controller would be the same way on Android.
Well, I was wrong. what you do is strip an xbox controller's cable, or the break away cable(this is smarter due to the fact you can still use your controller later with another break away cable), and strip a usb cable (the male end still in tact) and simply wire the corresponding colors together(Green to green, red to red, black to black, white to white). Now the xbox controller has a 5th wire which is yellow, you can ignore that one.
So far this controller has been a good temporary solution for my wait. The L & R triggers don't work, but im not sure if that's an android issue or my controller just funked. Anyways if anyone has a spare xbox controller laying around and about 10-20 minutes of spare time, give this trick a go! Would love to see other people's results!

Well I already have a XBOX to USB adapter, I guess that would save me the stripping right? (I'm at work, cant test it myself yet)
Anyone try this with ICS?

It should work! If my Evo 3D had otg compatibilities I'd try it but it should work.

I too have an xbox to USB adapter from the old Xbox modding days. Plugged into my OT G adapter for the note 2 tonight, and no love on riptide GP or dead trigger.
is there anywhere where you can check to see if the Android is even detecting it?
do you need to help 6 axis controller or something installed?
Would this work on for the Motola Atrix Lapdock's full USB port? That would be pretty sick...
well i always wanted to know whether this would work but never tried it, i have a xbox controller that i did the usb mod with and a asus transformer tf101 with 2xUSB host and a SGS3 with otg adapter. but when i made the transistion from windows 7 gaming to windows 8 i later realised the driver would never be supported, so i was left with windows 8 games all installed and ready but no controller to play them with. so i bought an official xbox360 wired controller new off ebay, i knew it would work with android if i needed it to but it is perfect for me and my pc. btw the windows 7 driver for xbox controller is called XBCD and works well with x360 button mapping software.
This sounds pretty awesome. I modded the break away cable on one of my original Xbox controllers years ago so I could use it as a PC controller because I had extras. Now I just need to get an OTG cable.:cyclops:
I used this tutorial to mod my Xbox 1 controller a few days before: http://www.ocmodshop.com/how-to-use-an-xbox-controller-as-a-usb-pc-gamepad/
It works perfekt with my i9305 including the L & R triggers if you build you own driver with USB/BT Joystick Center 6: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.poke64738.usbjoy
You also can copy my config file to your folder USBJoyData and import it with USB/BT Joystick Center 6: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/56411924/Xboxcontroller/Xbox1Controller_JoyPrefsFile_1118_645_0.zip

Using an original Xbox controller with USB adapter to OTG cable. GTA 3 doesn't work for me, sadly. I just get camera spin and some buttons do odd things.

You shouldn't need any third party software installed. As long as your devices supports usb hosting it should work. What Os version are you on?

I dont know if someone pointed tha out yet, I dont have time to read it now...

That's normal. All you need to do is install USB/BT Joystick Center 6 and map the buttons to your needs. It also works perfectly on my rooted Galaxy Nexus

Why? Use this tut and you have both: http://www.ocmodshop.com/how-to-use-an-xbox-controller-as-a-usb-pc-gamepad/
Would this work on other phones such as sony xperia p
Simple question, but you are using the micro-usb slot right? Is it possible to charge and connect a controller at the same time?
Because well, I can't play games for any longer then 2hours, then my battery is dead.

There is a y cable I believe that can help you achieve this. I don't have the link or anything though

Charging with otg is kernal specific. If you have a usb extender cable, cut it where you want the charging port to be and solder in a 'y' with a male end. Only red and black need be connected. Leave green and white alone for the charging plug in.
Plug power in first, then the controller, then attach to your device.
I made one to use thumb drive and charge while traveling.
Works great on galaxy s3 with lean kernal.

No idea about that!
but you can get a XBOX 360 wired controller for cheap which works with OTG support unrooted!
I very much enjoy the Red Samurai Wireless Controller from GameStop. It has great battery life, is easy to set up, has a great layout. It's bluetooth, doesn't require root, and is under $25. Not available online sadly.
Just wanted to share with anyone wondering.
Gamepad is on sale online through Verizon, they are currently offering 2 day free delivery. Some highlights below.
Gamepad is very sturdy when in use, no flex or bends on the frame
Joysticks are good to use and feel great when in use
Gamepad has 2 triggers on either side, not much space between them but they are useful
Buttons can be remapped within emulators, doesn't come with native button remap
LED lights for back and shoulder triggers can be turned off or on
Still testing battery life but gamepad does help with its 1035mah battery
Can be charged separately from phone or together using usb c
Has its own headphone jack
Doesn't feel warm after extended use
Some reviews on Verizon online are saying there are issues with games that have gamepad support, I haven't personally had issues since I only play emulators so YMMV

Congratulation.
I have one question: Can it be used as a gamepad with the PC? Connected by USB or with bluetooth with phone attached?

Unfortunately the answer is no. This gamepad only connect to the phone using the Moto mod connector, the gamepad it self has no Bluetooth connectivity. If you buy this it will only be useful on Moto mod supported phones.
I was thinking of buying this phone as a dual solution for mobile and tv gaming.
Does cables like these https://www.amazon.in/AmazonBasics-Type-C-Digital-Multiport-Adapter/dp/B01LYJQ5ZD/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1547955384&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX118_SY170_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=usbc+to+hdmi&dpPl=1&dpID=31EODvfY81L&ref=plSrch work
If not can you suggest a phone under 15K which supports these connectors?
I don't think it does.
have you tried it?
Do you know any other phones that support the cables which are under 15K?
You can use this application to check if your phone supports HDMI output https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wikimediacom.MHLChecker

I have not tried it but surely it will work. These cables mirror your phone's screen on TV, so that you can play games, watch movies. But I will suggest you something else.
Instead of buying cable, go for casting device like Amazon Fire TV stick. It has the option to mirror your phone screen on TV. Since it wireless connection , no need to sit near TV.
Amazon fire TV stick also has lots of apps like Netflix which is useful. Hope this helps
Well the app said it doesn't. And probably is right.
There are only a few phones left that still support MHL.
