Galaxy S I9001 bricked? (system.img.ext4 download) - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Guys,
I have a big problem with my Galaxy Plus (I9001). I wanted to flash the original stock firmware (2.3.6) and always at the part "system.img.ext4 download" its stucking (waited about 40 minutes).
I also tried to flash BroodROM RC5 with odin, but here is the same problem it stucks at "system.img.ext4 download".
If I try to get into recovery i always get the Ramdump Mode. Flashing CWM recovery dont take any effect (Odin does not issue error).
Sorry for bad english.
I hope u can help me
thx JerI

Did you press volume up + power button to enter the recovery mode ?

but how do i go to download mode? my phone is stuck at the galaxy ace logo.
to go to download mode...press power button with up and down volume key...
First make sure that your phone is switched off. If its stuck on the logo, take out the battery and reinsert it.
Goto recovery mode by pressing home+volume up+power buttons simultaneously. Press install zip from sd and select CWM zip file. Then in CWM select backup and restore. Then select restore.

[Q] In reboot loop with no access to recovery mode

Hi,
I was trying to install 2.3.6 DDKQ6. The Odin process finished successfully and restarted the phone. But now the phone is in a boot loop. It keeps getting restarted after 2 seconds. I can't get to recovery mode.
I can access download mode but flashing even again (different ROM) doesn't work.
Please help me
Edited 10-22-2012: Still no solution found. I have tried many ROMS and even tried to flash stock recovery. Senior members, please suggest next step
Please, anyone has a solution to this problem?

Make sure the rom is in your region. Dont install a rom from another country. Try get to recovery mode with button combination. Search for more tutorials.

As long as ur phone is bootlooping, it can enter in stock recovery. So, take out battery, re-insert it, goto STOCK recovery & do "wipe data/factory reset" & wipe cache. It worked for me & for most of us too!!

I have tried the recovery button combination a lot of times. I believe recovery comes after the logo screen? But my phone keeps rebooting before even showing the logo screen.
Before flashing 2.3.6 DDKQ6, which firmware/rom u were using??

I was using Froyo 2.2.1 firmware code starting with JP or JV.
Here is the procedure i used for update.
http://androidadvices.com/update-galaxy-ace-s5830-official-gingerbread-236-xwktm-firmware/2/
Then flash it again to get back to normal first, then go for updating.

I think
first comes the Samsung logo (no matter which ROM u have installed).
then comes your device logo (varies with the kernel installed).
then boot-screen.
If you press home+power button u will enter into the stock recovery console(if cwm or other recovery is not installed).
And if you don't press the home+power button then you will boot normally.
Be on the safe side
Press home+power button until u see the recovery console.
Most of the boot-loops can be solved by wiping up cache and factory reset.
Hope this will solve your problem.
Edit:
Try some after market ROMs they are way more fast and efficient than stock Samsung GB ROM. Try Apocalypse or
Democracy.
Just hold the power button and home button... release it when you see SAMSUNG.. flash the rom again if still you dont get any help...

kies update failed

Kies said that there is an update for my galaxy mini 2.2.1
so decided to update and get this error when phone was in dowload mode:
samsung_bml_format FAIL:
ONW UPDATE FAIL
when trying to turning on phone, stuck at samsung logo.
download mode still working.
Any one any idea for fixing this?
Maybe go to recovery mode by pressing home+power button and wipe data/reset
Wipe cache
Use volume up and down to scroll and home button to enter.

I had installed Stockrom CM10.1 and i want back to put a stockrom. In the rush I forgot to do the wipes before going through odin the StockRom.
Since then the phone does not pass the samsung logo and can not go into recovery mode. I tried to send the CWM, also the ".pit" with Odin and I have sent the RescuePDA. In any case get it to boot the phone and put it into recovery mode, although in download mode it is ok.

I press volume +, volume -, home and power and the telephone doesn´t boot. I only can boot in download mode.
Thanks
Is there any way of make wipes with the computer (odin or similar)?
I had the same bug. And, you got ramdump mode, probably in the past, you selected from recovery the option ,,reboot to recovery,,. To fix that, you need to press the same keys , but in a different order. First flash cwm 6.0.3.3 (by thewhisp), then , remove the battery and put it back. After that, press that buttons in that order : home+power+up+down
IMPORTANT: YOU NEED TO PRESS UP+DOWN AT THE SAME TIME, AND IN 1 SECOND. (Till you see the SAMSUNG LOGO)
If now you see ,, clock work mod,, wipe data. If not repeat all steps.
It worked 100% on my s6500d, after several hours of trying.

1) please try it many times! To recover my phone, I need some hours (3-4) , to get into recovery mode!
2) switch to windows / go to a friend.
Also, in the future, read before flash an new rom, the comments of others. I am the one of many others who said that the rom causes bootloop !

OHH....I mean, instead pressing Vol. Up+ Vol. Down+home+power to get in recovery,
you need to press home+power+up+down (fast!!!!)
You need to have the keys pressed before phone vibration ends ! If you see clockworkmod logo under phone model, release the keys!
If not repeat the steps! :good:

Wow .. Your solution is easier than mine I should have known that method earlier ... Usually .. when I stuck in bootloop ... I will Force the phone to enter Recovery Mode ...
1.Press the Download Mode Key Combination ( VOL down + Home + Power )
2.After that, the phone will warn you right ?? Choose cancel (VOL down)
3.After you pressed Vol Down the phone will try to reboot .
4.When the phone try to reboot, press the Recovery Mode key combination BUT without pressing power button. Press ONLY the three button.
5.The phone will enter recovery Mode.
6.Full wipe the Phone and/or restore your backup.
It works for me EVERYTIME ..
If it is not working for you, just try again .. Your timing in STEP 4 must be PERFECT !!
