So here are nandroid backups of my Nexus S (GT-I9020T) Android 2.3.3, created with ClockworkMod 3.0.0.5. Worked for me, may or may not work for you. If you mess up, don't blame me
Code:
ro.build.description=soju-user 2.3.3 GRI40 102588 release-keys
ro.build.fingerprint=google/soju/crespo:2.3.3/GRI40/102588:user/release-keys
Warning: This does not update the radio!
Stock: http://www.mediafire.com/?weataw4w7v1anl4
MD5: f45229bf87eadf5e00698052cf001327
Completely stock, no tweaks or modifications whatsoever.
Rooted: http://www.mediafire.com/?c1ww7zb837uycbk
MD5: 8af98f7106e80224331b2185adb4bd65
This is just the stock rom with su-2.3.6.1 applied (from here), no other tweaks or modifications. If you need BusyBox, then you can find an installer here.
Restore by unzipping (with paths) to the root of the SD card, boot into ClockworkMod Recovery, and choose Restore from backup.
If you need more detailed instructions, have a look at this thread. Of course, if you need detailed step-by-step explanations, maybe you shouldn't be messing around with this anyway
Thanks to:
momohammed20 (for doing this first)
ChainsDD (for making an installable Superuser)
Google (for making an amazing operating system)
Thank you, trying it now

Sorta. Wasn't difficult to figure out what I was doing wrong but for others that may come back wondering.
Open the zip, extract the actual nandroid backup file from the backup folder and dump it in the clockworkmod backup folder. Then you can restore from CMR
Thanks for doing this though. I'll definitely go back to Cyanogen once they incorporate but I'm tired of the reboots.

I don't really care about quadrant but I can tell you the color makes the screen look like a Toshiba Satellite Pro with Passive Matrix display, circa 1999.
Shockingly bad.
Other than that, I think this is essentially 2.3.2 with the reboot bug fix and maybe some other minor tweaks I may discover later. Though with this color problem as soon as a CM nightly has that fix incorporate, while hopefully resolving the color issue, I'll be right back on it.
I've been an android fan since the G1 but they are making some really bad decisions. Bugs happen but to release two builds with such major, and obvious flaws. Not to mention the first crack in the armor in my opinion, choosing Samsung as their Google Experience phone Mfg...... Not like I'm switchin teams but damn guys, pull it together.

I know lots of people are looking for new CM7 stuff to flash! well I seen a rom called Dorians Redpill cm7 Hybrid v1 around the forum in some peoples sigs and such but nobody has made it available here so... I googled it and found this! http://jwhite.macleod-web.net/resources/atrixforums/CM7/RedPill Hybrid V1 RC.zip
and I gotta say this is definetly worth a flash it's damn nice!
Note: I only found this link and made it available here! I had nothing to do with making this rom! This was made by a dev named Dorian on another forum! So please give credit where credit is due!
And I sure as **** am not responsible for any damage you cause to your phone from flashing this! As I said I only found the link and am making it available for all the flashing fiends out there such as myself! That is all! Happy flashing!
Update: Actually there was one problem I experienced when I first flashed this that I forgot to mention! you may have to possibly redo your apns or restore them from a backup as I did experience a problem with my mobile connection when I first installed.

You sure about that? I thought a release candidate is a higher version then a beta of any kind???
That link was all bunched up didnt even realize it was the non cm7 one. Well its still good for people who wanna try the one with blur.
His work i believe is based on the stable releases from the atrix dev team, however includes the minimal lock screen option.
That means no fingerprint and no webtop incase anyone is wondering.
Also you can use any kernel you would normally use for the cm7 roms, eg Clemsyn or faux's and any theme you wold normally use on the cm7 rom as well.
I've read on that forum that someone flashed the redpill rom over the stable release without a full wipe and it worked fine.
btw version 3 is not the hybrid release, the redpill hybrid is found 167 of the thread, Dorian has not updated the OP yet

RedPill Hybrid is based on CM7, so any OC kernel for CM7 will work with it. I'm using faux's enhanced 1.0GHz kernel with mine, with no problems at all. (I was using the 1.3GHz kernel, but since I'm not doing anything with my phone that really took advantage of the slightly increased speed, I opted to stay at 1.0GHz and increase my battery life.)
Note that the older RedPill releases (V1-V3) were all based on the stock Gingerbread ROM, and are now essentially obsolete with the release of the CM7-based RedPill Hybrid.
Sorry for the confusion. I thought I was helping.

No worries, mate, your heart was in the right place. Anyway, I've already spoken to Dorian and he's going to be creating a completely separate thread for RedPill Hybrid, in order to eliminate any confusion. He can't do it today because he got a nasty cut on his wrist and can't do much typing , but I expect we'll see it in the next couple of days, along with a changelog and details on how RedPill Hybrid differs from both the Blur-based RedPill and CM7 itself (probably not by much in the latter case; I'd speculate it's mainly interface tweaks). In general, though, anything that applies to CM7 should apply equally to RedPill Hybrid, including Theme Chooser themes.

Hope Dorians not pissed about this link I posted. I just wanted to make it available for people who don't even know his work exists its an awesome rom and needs some publicity plus the flashing fiends are hungry! LOL
Im the one that flashed over from ba2tf without a full wipe. Works fine. You can find the OP and download link at atrix forums dot com. I was having a lil unstability on it so im back on ba2tf cause i needed my phone tonight without any hiccups. Ill flash back to it later. BTW all cm7 kernels work as its based off cm7. There is no adw launcher loaded but has some different window transitions. Good luck guys.
cm7 on steroids
Please note! Due to certain issues, as of 08/26 I have moved on to the official CM10. If time permits, I'll update this OP, but not making promises.
WARNING: This ROM probably still has intermittent emergency dialing issues. Do not use it for a daily driver when you're out or could need 911 or any emergency number. If you STILL choose to use it at those times, it's your own fault!

Build 08/20 is showing as available. I don't recommend dl'ing it as its caused many to have baseband issues. I've contacted Der to look into this, which I'm sure he will when time permits.
(08/17)New build available.
This is md5 sum:
cd703c25d560ce4c3d33cbfcab724427
Changes:
- compiled from latest sources, but still using /datadata (going to be change probably soon)
- renamed the two navbar menus
- added Facebook sync (you have to install Facebook app before)
- added i9000b to supported devices
- (hopefully) fixed modem/baseband issue
- added possibility to install devil kernel apps to installer
- fixed mms for showcase
http://rootaxbox.no-ip.org/derteufel/Helly_Bean/rom/
Wipe not needed if flashing from a previous version, but is highly recommended. Be sure to flash the add-on also.
TF here.....I found, as often is the case, I had to flash the ROM and let it boot up, then go back in and flash the add-on. After that.....golden!
(08/15)New test build up now.
Why test build?
- Because I have added two new devices, for which I don't know if it is working well for them
- I have fixed the navbar not appearing, but now there a two menus in system which both are named the same. One is for enabling, the other for customization. I am working at integrating the two into one menu, but I did not get it yet.
- ffc support for Vibrant
Install process has not changed, but if you are coming from another ROM/kernel than mine, you should create a folder devil at your sdcard, place a file named device into it, and write your device name in it, valid names are:
i9000
cappy
vibrant
fascinate
mesmerize
showcase
users of mesmerize and showcase have to do this!
Other changes:
If devil app(s) are not installed, the menu is not displayed under system settings (many thanks to phillbring for coding me this).
md5sum is: 3b11a106529f10236d2e6139416bc346
http://rootaxbox.no-ip.org/derteufel/test/
Wipe not needed if flashing from a previous version, but is highly recommended. Be sure to flash the add-on also.
From TF: I love the Cid theme from Annex, but flashing his most recent version sent me into bootloops. I'm assuming he will update as soon as he has a chance.
(08/13) New instructions for flashing. Wipe not needed if flashing from a previous version, but is recommended. Be sure to flash the add-on also.
The files can be found at:
http://rootaxbox.no-ip.org/derteufel/Helly_Bean/
Install instructions:[/SIZE]
Coming from any other rom:
- make sure to have gingerbread bootloaders. (Remember, Google is your friend)
- wipe data/factory reset
- flash allinone.zip
- reboot recovery
- flash allinone.zip again
- flash Helly_Bean_AddOn or Helly_Bean inverted AddOn
coming from previous version:
- flash allinone.zip
- flash Helly_Bean_AddOn or Helly_Bean inverted AddOn
Attention: this is still a test. Don't flash it if you don't know what you are doing/how to get back!
For a new feature cherry-picked last night, go to settings --> system

You'll find download links and faq on this site.
The usual back-up, complete wipe (if this is the first time flashing this ROM), flashing of files and fix permissions applies.
***********
One thing I noticed is that if you follow the normal flash procedure, it can bootloop, or at least appears as though it is. One way to fix that is to flash the ROM only and boot up you phone. Then go back into recovery and flash the add-on. That has worked every time it happened to me.
You can find the changelog here:
http://hellybean.site11.com/changelogg.html
For mirrors, please take a look at the thread. if you don't find any, just ask in the thread.
I really didn't want to mention this, but lack of experience by some members seems to require it:
If you are unsure of ANYTHING that goes with flashing a ROM, do research first. If you honestly can't find the answer, ask questions. We are not responsible for any action that happens to your phone.

Now, from TFordham (you can just call me TF):
I've been using this ROM for some time now, and really happy with it. Personally, I think this is the best JB ROM out there. I find it very smooth, and for an early release, quite stable.
I do want to point out that I'm not a dev at all. The Helly Bean ROM is from DerTeufel1980 and his team. I put this up since his ROM is being mentioned in another ROM forum, but figured it might as well have its own home
Something else I want to be clear about is that I have no technical knowledge on creating ROMs, kernels or other things of this nature. I simply wanted to let other Vibrant owners know this ROM is out there. This fantastic XDA community is the place to ask, as there are plenty who know FAR more than I. In addition, DerTeufel1980 is active in this forum, ago if there are issues, he will help address them. While I appreciate the "thanks" button being hit, it is his comments in this thread that should be thanked.

HellyBean 0801 is definitely the fastest JB ROM for the Vibrant because of the included Devil 1.1.0 kernel and the use of the faster datadata partition. All Vibrant users should donate to Derteufel1980 for his amazing kernel and now ROM support. He is the only ICS/JB kernel developer we have right now so we must treat him right.
How does this differ from the CM10 v8? Other than the kernel of course.

Keeping in mind I'm far from the most tech savvy flasher out there, like I mentioned, I don't see a huge difference in most of the JB ROMs. I just happen to like this one a lot. Others may be able to get into far more detail on why it's good compared to other (or vice versa, for that matter, if they feel that's the case).

I think that DerTeufel has to be the OP.
Did you ask him before put this?
Are you able to answer questions about Kernel, ROM, Modems, UV, NL etc?
Update the proper content of our device?
This is why the "leader team" or the Dev has to be the OP.
Not trolling, just saying: If we want a better Topic it has to be created by DerTeufel.

Can someone quickly summarize how to get here from Stock? I had done it a long time ago to the ics roms and can't do it again... I"m missing some major step.
So far:
heimdall to stock
root update.zip
install rommanager and then cwm install and re-boot to flash update.zip -> cwm recovery.
Flash this rom
-> results in boot loop.
What am I missing?

I reserved a post for an faq... I'll make one if I ever get the time, but if someone makes one I'll link to it.
Again, as it has already been said, this is a dev Rom and isn't ready or intended for noobs to use.

FAQ
This isn't really that great of a FAQ right now because I don't have the time, but here's some useful info. If someone takes the time to make a better one, let me know and I'll link it in this post.
Sorry, I haven't been maintaining this FAQ, I'm currently extremely busy. I don't think it's very relevant anymore with the impending kernel source release. But if you have questions, read through this thread and post if the question hasn't already been asked. DO NOT POST IN THE DEV THREAD UNLESS YOU HAVE DEVELOPMENT RELATED INFO!!
UPDATE: The official ICS has launched for the SU660 (Korean O2x) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1860749
Kernel sources will be uploaded soon by LG, meaning we will have fully working ROMs, including CM10 for all variants, including the P990 and P999! The wait is finally over!
UPDATE UPDATE: SOURCES ARE OUT!! http://www.lg.com/global/support/opensource/opensource-detail.jsp?detailCustomerModelCode=LGSU660
Donation thread for Arcee: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1958977
Q: I'm a noob. How to flash?
A: If you're a noob you probably shouldn't be flashing this.
Q: Will this work on the P999 as is?
A: No, but it might be ported eventually
Q: What is the red border in the video?
A: This is because it is in engineering mode, this can be changed in the build.prop
Q: Is video recording working?
A: Yes
Q: Does google play work?
A: Yes, with this fix http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32593396&postcount=318
Q: So I see all these zip ROMs now, I can just go into my normal CWM and flash them like normal, right?
A: NO! You need to flash the special version of CWM compatible with this leak's partitioning. See next question...
Q: WHY DON'T I HAVE CLOCKWORK MOD FLASHABLE PERFECT ROM RIGHT NOW!!!!!!
A: Patience. The devs are working. In fact, wkpark just posted a working build of CWM. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32590694&postcount=302
So fret not, we're getting there... My understanding of why it's not so simple is because the SD Card partitioning is different in these new ICS builds.
Q: Should I go into the Dev thread posting questions on "HELP I WANT TO FLASH THIS BUT HOW?" or posting "THANKS DEVS U GUYS ARE GREAT!!!!"
A: No. The dev thread is for developers to share ideas and the progress that they are making. Press the thanks button on the devs posts if you want to thank them.
Q: WHEN IS ICS OUT?????!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
A: It will come when it comes.

this is. Good idea. Though people may just post in the stickied ICS Thread
Anyway I think that you shouldn't flash this if you don't know what you are doing. Personally I can't try it as I rely on my phone atm

That build should not work on the P999 am I right?

Yes, you are right.
For that wait for CM9/10(other roms), specific leak or official release.
This is a good idea, I was just expecting/hoping the devs to ignore all the non-development related posts anyway.

Yeah you are right, happened to me
I posted this but no answer:
I'm sorry for asking this in here, despite being a Dev section.
In my case, i'm not wiling to install this ROM, too much processes to go through and unfortunately i don't have time to do it and i really need the phone fully operational.
My questions are:
Is there something in this Leak that solves the issues Devs are having in CM9 and CM10?
Can whe expect good results?
Is there any Dev working on this? (Benee, Pastime, Kashamalaga, TonyP, Temasek, Hei, MrHyde, Stephan)
If so, we could install CM9's and 10's with cmw, without too much RAM usage, Wi-fi working, bloatware removed and other bugs removed.
I'm asking this because just a few Devs gave opinions, (they have show happy) but what can it be used exactly?
Oh and about that fear a few guys are having with the possibility aremcee being upset with something, i don't see any....Devs in here are not using something like others have donne on Optimus Black Dev section. There isn't no nightlies for LG 2X to work on.
Nonetheless we must thank him and give credit to him for CM working on our LG2X.

If someone can give his opinion or answer i'll be apreciated.
first of all yes devs are working on it..till now the leak has been easily rooted sd card is now working by formating internal sd through adb and then mounting it manually.
HWA is there.
Face unlock works perfect, swipe lock screen is awesome
In my experience till now the call quality on baseband 0725 ril-v10d is poor.
overall audio quality isnt so good.
just had 1 hot reboot till now!!.
Above all is my personal experience till now (ALARM CLOCK DIDNT WAKE ME UP THIS MORNING ***** LG)
Maybe I'm missing something but wouldn't it be easier to take the latest SU660 leak and make it run on our p990 with the debug rom rather than patching all those issues with the debug rom?

The SU660 is more buggy because a lot of the stuff are not compatible with the P990. Apps that FCs include settings, contacts, phone, media. So in a way you need to do more work to port the v30c.
Hi all, is it possible to take drivers from p990 leak and put them on cm10?
Current status, (as far as i know), Benee is working on it, be patient
I'm reading in dev thread that Harsh succeded in setting up this rom with root, if he installed cwm too would it be possible to have a cwm backup of it without personal data so that we coould make a restore in our terminal?
Sent from my LG-P990 using xda app-developers app
What do you mean?
restore to have the V28 Rom,
or restore to have harsh`s fixes in an installed V28 rom too
first is impossible because there are other partition(sizes?),
second may work, but I don`t be sure
How do you use the su660 system.img on the p990 ics debug rom?
I'm asking for a possible quick and safe distribution through cwm.
About new partitions is it possible to create them using nvflash and then copy a cwm backup on ext sd?
Then, after cwm restore and the first boot we could make a system reset and start as new in multilingual.

Only partition layout using nvflash is possible, if someone changes nvflash files for it, but you won't be able to copy the cwm backup to the sdcard, because after using nvflash (in this case), there is nothing installed, no system no recovery, I guess

I don`t understand this step, why reset?
The cwm backup is made for a different language, after reset you can start a new setup choosing your language.
Edit: there is a thread by Owain94 in which he writes that you can change partitions on your active rom and restart with new ones.

sorry I can`t follow you,
you can change the language in system settings, or do you mean something else?

When you do a system reset you start with the rom you installed without any personal data and customization and you can choose your language, date, set wifi , etc.

Please include your kernel in this thread to make it clearer
You have to use this updater-script for flash cm7. If you don't use this one, the phone will get bricked. http://pastebin.com/htJ8NYTs
For use this updater-script you have to put in the first root of the zip two files: bmlunlock and busybox.
Remember to add the boot.img of hells fusion kernel at second post!
P.S. OP I think that you have to give credits to biel!
Soft Brick. Tried with hell lock flashable zip, softbrick with flashlight with 2 seconds. Now tried with the kernel you provided, stuck on the SGAi bootlogo. Any solution? You said it worked on someone else's device... How did he install? From stock or another rom?
EDIT: Now will try with the updater script you said, @Lopicl.00 . What attachment are you talking about?

Well, I don't know which is the point of this thread. You are building my sources. You are making my ROM. Why create another thread? You don't have the device, me neither, but I started that project from 0. Why instead of making your CM7 you don't help us? Why don't you make a pull request? Do we need to talk with testers, which are the same for the both of us, to just test the same ROM!? If we want to have something big, we should focus on one CM and not building various CM7. I don't know which is the point of this, and I don't know what were you thinking. In your github there is 0 changes on my device tree. I committed all my changes during the last month and you used my work to build your own, and then it seems that your ROM is better than mine, because I don't release mid-done ROM's. I want to give the best expierence to all the users.
Also, I committed all the changes to help people understand on what I'm working. Many users asked me if I was really working on it, as I did not commit anything to github, but I was. And what happens if I commit? other users use my work to build their ROM's? I think that's not the way to go.
And what about a simple credit to the real author of this ROM? as your signature says: Send me device tree and I'll build the ROM. Why? To be more famous using other people's work? I don't get the point of anything here...
Oh, btw, where are the permissions to do that?
Thanks, Biel.

Ok I am also starting the device tree from scratch. Is that alright?
I will suspend the current build and post a new one tomorrow which will based on my device trees.
About credits? I didnt even complete writing this thread..
About changes thing? I have made changes at my end which are not committed becuz I dont wanna put untested changes on github.
Sorry If I offended someone but I had no real intentions of doing that..
and btw.. I mean somehting else from my sign.. I want to help other device owners to get new roms to their device. Though it contradicts to this build.
