I'm sure lots of you have played around with game controllers on the nexus 7. And I'm sure you've also noticed how clunky it is moving around android os with the controller. Imagine a different type of UI. Still android of course but much more fluid and game console-ish interface. And could be switched in and out of at demand and even auto switched upon controller connection. I literally just thought of this idea in drama class and I want to work on it but I do not have the time nor the skill. And it would be even more fluid on a ten inch tablet too. Bigger display. Something kinda like the older xbox dashboards. Not the new metro ui. That sucks. Or like the PS lines' XMB. Still kinda wrapping my mind around it. Just food for thought for all fellow nexus users!

The Ouya console will be released pretty soon and I guess the UI, which is made for controllers, can be ported to the N7.

I should be getting my gnex soon and I was going to use of primarily for work purposes like notes and such.
I have a leather portfolio for work right now that I take hand notes on for meetings which is really nice then I convert them to the PC. I'm going to utilize Google drive for a medium between my tab and work PC. F'in love Google!
My question is does anybody know of a good 7 inch tablet portfolio style case with a pad of paper in it so I can take notes and work on my tab at the same time? I would prefer leather but I'll take the other smart case style material as well.
Any help appreciated. Thanks!

I'm also interested in a case that holds a pad, but I'd like it to hold an A5 pad and be A5 sized.....

Lmao.
Gnex = Cellular modem lol
Poor Gnex. I still use mine though but not as much. The N7 for emails, Gtalk, XDA, and internet. Really saves my Gnex from dying so soon.

Does Tablet Talk consume much battery on the phone and tablet?
I don't think so at all, but I'll double check today. I don't get a ton of texts and it operates over bluetooth so I wouldn't imagine it is much of a drain.
My photon has been downgraded to a wifi hotspot for my 7. Its been very neglected

LOL, n7's battery is very impressive. It stays alive for a long time after I hook it up with WiFi.

Don't they (Netflix) do any kind of capacity planning? Weren't their servers tested under load? Geez!
Kids want to watch Christmas movies today because it's raining in So Cal, and they can't go out.
I'm glad I have some DVDs lying around.

They blame Amazon AWS: http://www.engadget.com/2012/12/24/netflix-outage/
Mod edit: No
Carry on people.
Interesting how the faulty Amazon Elastic Load Balancing (ELB) component of AWS in Ashburn, Virginia only affected Netflix, and not Netflix's major rival Amazon Instant Video service (formerly known as Video On Demand) also hosted on AWS in VA, huh?
Hmm...
And was any other Amazon.com service adversely affected?
Hmm...
The end of the world...... for Netflix?

10 POST RULE
Android 4.3 should have been revealed earlier in the year, and the last few months should have been betas for Nexus devices, available as full ROM images.
Result: Less running dodgy leaks, more stable end code, happier techy end users.
Apple do it to great effect, and I feel Google are missing a trick here.

I think the way Google sees it is this: from the release of a new version (nexus devices) until the release from OEM's (Samsung, HTC, Sony, LG etc) it is kinda like open beta, where a large userbase uses the new OS (bug smashing) and developers catch up with the new API. Maybe this is one reason nexus devices are somewhat considered developer phones.
You tell them Peter! Cuz you so crazy like that....

You get NOTHING! Good DAY Sir!
I admit it.
I like how iOS 7 looks.
Looks different compared to Android's Holo, and Holo's been getting old.
What do you guys have to say?

I was interested In it. But I am on a school ipad. Where everything is restricted. But now they blocked updating after I spent 3 hours downloading it, then they blocked the App Store, in app purchases, and anything else relating to it to stop us from updating everything I'm assuming. Ios 7 made the IT a pain at my school. I cannot download the app I need for class tomorrow for civics. I no longer like ios 7 because of the after affects, and I can't use it. Mostly trying to get my frustration out right now.
