Grrrrr. Try next time use commas and dots behind sentences. Very hard to understand!
First about HDMI to RCA. It can be done but not cheap. One example about similar question.

Internal OTG - up to 32gb memory extension - crazy idea??

Hi, I`m just wondering if it is possible to make kind of internal bypass on internal connector and make full time OTG directly connected to some little usb sdcard reader inside device (should be connected directly w/o original USB male and female connector due size reduction). In sd reader could be up to 32gb micro sd card. (or someone tryed 64gb yet?)
From software side every time it should looks like OTG and sdcard is connected.
Just wondering if it is possible to power up properly and connect with PC or another OTG after this messing up with hw
Thank you in advance for your opinion
EDIT: spare internal dock cable is not so expensive so everyone may give a try.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dock-Conn...K_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item20c68df444
I'm also very interested in this idea.
Have you search for ang other DIY projects?
Maybe you post this question in Galaxy Tab 10.1 forums?

Here i am!
It's not possible. For 3 reason:
1) there is no place physically inside device. Not even 1mm!!
2) you can't have at the same time the OTG feature and the connection to PC
3) you can't have at the same time the OTG feature and the charge from AC adapter
In this picture you can see a modification that i have made in my tab:

I have moved the dock connector. This it was possible because i have removed the battery. (in car the li-ion battery expolde!!")
Bye!
I found these two interesting ideas:

Maybe it is possible somehow to solder this adapter to 30 pin?

You can charge and use OTG at same time with this accessory:

Audio Dock for Note 5

I purchased this bad boy for my S4 so I could hook my external computer speakers to the dock and play from my phone while it is connected. Unfortunately, the Note 5 is too large to fit. I debated trying to dremel some of the plastic to make it fit but figured I'd look for a new dock first. I haven't seen any that include an audio port unfortunately. Do you guys know of one? I was searching specifically for the Note 5 but perhaps one that is for a different model is compatible? Any ideas?
what about just getting a cheap Bluetooth adapter. No dock needed. Or you can get this, but remember that the plug has changed since the s4, so there is a chance audio won't work. Again, get a regular charging stand or a wireless fast charge and a cheap usb Bluetooth adapter to play music from your phone though your computer.

It is a work computer so I can't do jack on it or else I would have just hooked the speakers directly up to it. I want my phone to stand up and charge at my desk and play audio to non-bluetooth speakers. I guess I could buy a wireless (or wired) dock/stand AND a bluetooth receiver that hooks directly up to audio cable but I'm not sure the price on that. I guess that will be my solution unless someone can come up with something. I'm sure there HAS to be a dock out there compatible but I guess everything is moving wireless these days.
I have this setup at work (except the speaker I have is older)

Yeah, I had my regular computer speakers hooked up to the S4 phone dock with 3.5mm cable. I guess my choices at this point are 1. Find a dock the Note 5 will fit into that has a 3.5mm port or go with a wireless dock and get a bluetooth receiver for the desktop speakers.

Has anybody found a *tiny* USB-C OTG adapter?

With my Note 4, I could keep a tiny OTG adapter (pictured in the link below) in my wallet to give access to USB devices...
https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB19g5f...TG-Adapter-Converter-into-Flash-Drive-For.jpg
I can't seem to find a similar device for use with the Note 8.
Has anybody found anything like this?
Cheers,
Steve.
Perhaps not as tiny but the Note 8 comes with an OTG adapter used for transferring data from an older phone to a new one.

Yeah, I know - I was really wondering why there aren't any OTG adapters in the nano flat style. That's what I'm really after.
THIS is the smallest I've seen.
Well, there is another but the listing just seems a little dodgy - Clicky
I bought a usb 2.0 to C OTG adapter which did not work at all, and a 3.1 A to C which does so that may need to be a consideration beyond just the physical size.

I would have gone with the second one if the picture had actually been of a USB-C interface, rather than Micro USB.
If it can't fit in my wallet, then attaching it to my key-ring (with minimal size/bulk) is a reasonable alternative.
I keep both of these in my wallet. Type C to micro USB and a micro USB OTG adaptor.
Got them from Gearbest and/or Banggood.

It's nice to know that works - I ordered exactly the same from Gearbest a week ago.

Samsung DeX Laptop from a Pi-Top V2

Hi,
Just been tinkering with a Pi-Top V2 and some cables/other bits and now have a Samsung DeX laptop with a 14 inch 1080P display.
Needs a few more bits before it's more polished but thought I'd post my initial project and will post updates as they occur.
More details on the Pi-Top forum where I describe what's needed to make it all work.
Ok, have added the following enhancements:
1. Dual USB-2 hub - provides 2 x USB ports at the rear where the Raspberry PI middle ports would be
2. USB-C socket - this means no wires come out of the unit - a USB-C to USB-C cable (with 4K video capability) is used to connect the unit to the smartphone
To do
1. See if I can get some speakers into the unit or use extenal pocket USB speakers
2. Alternative would be to somehow breakout the audio from the HDMI signal and feed that to an internal amp and speakers - not sure there would be room for the electronics but will take a look

This is really really great! Can't wait to see how this project develops!
Can you post a link to the pi-top forum? I would like to follow this project too
That absolutely awesome. I was just about to buy an older laptop and gut it.
Details
I have checked out the link on pi-top. You have done an amazing job and appreciate your sharing.
I really would like to build this for myself.
Can you post or send me pictures if you have any from before you threw the insulation tape on? I wanted to get a better look at the parts where you have to cut the usb cable and connect to the GPIO.
Also can you send me the names of the parts you used (part numbers) so I can purchase from Amazon. I have a list made, but want to double check since your set up currently works.
Thank you.
Subbed to this thread. I think I am going to try and do something like this!! I have a dozen or so laptops that are in various forms od not functioning that I can gut.
But that color!
I burnt the pi top screen trying to do this :crying:

Does Realme X2 Pro Support HDMI Out

Hi There,
Wanting to know if the Realme X2 Pro supports Video Output through the use of a USB-C to HDMI adapter.
Thanks
I just tested it, and it does not work.
From what I understand, it has USB 3.0 and not 3.1 needed for HDMI out.

It does say it had hdcp tho, weird if it doesn't support hdmi when hdcp is a hdmi protocol?
And here it states it has usb 2.0 usb-c.

I bought one from marktplaats, a Dutch platform where you can buy used products. I use a HP traveldock. It is sadly very bad, as it mirrors your screen and it has an awfull screen ratio. You will have really big black bars on your monitor, giant! Sorry for my late response, but I hope I helped
could you please share url for that specific display link product ?
